He can't move his body too often because when he do that, his new mother will groan in pain. He somehow feels gratitude to the woman, since she cared so much about him. Well, actually she do care about her baby, not Gunnar, Gunnar only a freeloader in her belly anyway.

A week later, when Gunnar feels so suffocate, he decides to break free from the womb. Amniotic liquids around him also gradually decreased. Gunnar also feels like a strong suction forces trying to suck him out from the womb.
