18 Chapter 18

"Haaah–"

"Ah! Mister Rai!? What's wrong?"

"Haaah– haaah– Nothing. I'm alright."

"May I ask what happened!?"

"Okay. I'll tell you. I met that being you're talking about. Hah–"

"Why are you out of breath!? Did something happen when you met that being? Do you need me to heal you?"

"No. There's no need."

"May I ask what happened between you two?"

"I found a solution. But first. Let's talk about your mother's condition. Elija. We must end her suffering now. This is not a curse. But an overwhelming power that most of your bloodline couldn't contain in their bodies. Your mother is a Godkin."

"What? Really?"

"Elija. Listen to me. She's crying of agony. To end it. We have two options. Take that power out of her. Or kill her."

"No! Please! We won't kill her!"

"Then. The only solution is for you to take that power from her. You must take her heritage as a Godkin. If only I could contain it in my body. I will be glad to do so. But only those she shares her blood onto could. Are you willing to do this?"

"Then! Please! I'll do it for my mother!"

"Good. Let's start."

Rai then positioned his hand on the woman's stomach and casts his skill.

"It could be dangerous for you Elija. But this is the only way."

"Please!"

"Transfer!"

The second skill he regained when they leveled up. A skill that lets him wield the power of skills and transfer those onto himself or to anyone and anything.

A ball of purple energy then gathered on Rai's hand and later then. He then removed his hands on the woman's stomach with the ball on it.

"Elija!"

"Yes!"

"You could die."

"I'll happily accept death for my mother."

"Heh. Alright. Let's do this. It really is hard wielding it if you don't have such bloodline."

Rai then shoved that ball of purple energy onto Elija's chest. Which makes him back a few meters away and crash to the wall.

"Gaah!"

"Son!"

His father exclaimed who entered moments after Rai does so. And immediately rushes next to him.

"I-I am al… right. I'm okay, papa."

"Are you sure?"

"Y-yes!"

Elija then gave a comforting smile to his father.

"Thank goodness. Rai's your name, right? Thank you so much. My wife is safe. But my son. That thing is been put on him now. Will the same thing happen to him after some time?"

"If he's strong enough. Don't worry. I and my party will make him strong enough to withstand it. It's gonna be alright. The origin of this power is your ancestor. Ao Shin."

"A-Ao Shin!?"

The shaman exclaimed loudly.

"W-what's with that name miss Areyana?"

"A-Ao Shin. Is a legendary being. He served the great gods! He's one of the strongest beings during their reign! It's said that those related to him is extremely more powerful than any other godkins. He is one of those beings that marry someone sent by the gods."

"Wait… Isn't Ao Shin the storm dragon? Mister Rai! You mean. I and my mother are his descendants!?"

"You're right. Everything you two said just now is what he told me."

"Haaaah–"

"Mom!"

Elija and his father then rushed towards his mother.

The three then caressed each other while the shaman talked to Rai.

"What do you need miss?"

"Did you just said that you talked with such legendary figure?"

"Indeed."

"How are you able to do that? Also. How are you able to transfer such vast power?"

"I did not do it on my own. The dragon helped me."

"H-help you? But for my time of healing her I never even had a chance to talk to him."

"Well. We got along well."

"Get along well? Ao Shin is known to be arrogant. How could you possibly get along with him? And… How did you actually meet him?"

"I simply arrived at his realm. That's all."

"Arrived?"

"Yes."

"And then you got along with him just like that!? As if I would believe you."

"Believe it or not. That's exactly what happened."

"I can't believe you."

"I'm not forcing you though. The important thing is that Elija's mother is now healed."

"Yeah. Miss Eliya is now good and well. But I wanted to know every detail! It's not normal having a conversation with a powerful being of the past. It's once in a lifetime thing!"

"Blah, blah. I don't care. Elija. Once you're done. Meet me downstairs."

"Y-yes! Thank you. Mister Rai."

"Mm."

"T-that guy…"

On Rai's way out. A floating window popped up.

[Quest Cleared]

On his status. He then saw that his EXP meter is rising and then he leveled up to six.

"The others must have leveled up too."

And then proceeds to open the door and left.

"Yo Rai. We leveled up."

Laurence greeted

"Yeah. That's nice."

"What happened over there. Big bro?"

"Nothing much. Elija is now a dormant Godkin."

"Eh!? A Godkin!? But… I don't really get it. Are Godkins actually strong?"

"It seems they are strong relative to this world's standards. But it seems they are no match for a player. Also. I met a dragon beyond. There is this spirit realm that doesn't exist in the game. It seems these gods are actually players. What's more is they know a lot about us. The Ki, Magic, those buff potions and potions. Many things in this world are actually from them."

"How did you come to such a conclusion?"

"It's because I talked to somebody who talked with these so-called 'gods' "

"Eh? Really?"

"Yeah. A dragon. But do not worry. Though he's level one hundred. I an far more powerful even in his realm. We're both level one hundred. I just used the looted skills before but then it seems I could kill him in less than a minute."

"Oh! That's interesting! Wonder if Leo could cross through such thing."

"You're right. There's also this Wild magic that exists way before the mana and ki arrived. It's like telekinetic powers I guess, since that somebody said it's wielding the aspects of nature using your mind. But it could be another case."

"Mister Rai."

Elija called out while his father is also descending the staircase."

"Oh."

"Why did you told me to go down?"

"We wanted to have a conversation with you and your father."

"Yes. Rai?"

"Like I said before. The same thing won't happen to your son if he's strong enough. I wanted your permission. I wanted him to be at my party."

"Will that really make him stronger?"

"Yes. I will make sure he will."

"Then. Please. Do not let him suffer like his mother."

"Sure thing."

"Will we go, mister Rai?"

"What do you mean? We're not going anywhere. We'll attend the Baron's invitation. We should wait for it. Very well. Our job here is done. We'll come back to you and the invitation. Goodbye for now."

"O-okay."

"Thank you so much."

"It's nothing. We simply helped."

It's because we also gain.

They then got out of the house to take the carriage and leave.
