CH - 21 Meeting Lucifer

??? - "So you are finally here, my friend."

Raghav - "Yeah, I was getting kinda bored, you know. Anyway, good to finally meet you, Lucifer."

He said looking at Lucifer with a gentle smile and closed eyes which weren't graceful as an angel but creepy.

Lucifer (smiles) - "Indeed, it is so good to meet you."

Seeing the interaction between the two, a man standing not very far from Lucifer had a confused look. He had never heard about this person who appeared out of nowhere and the scary part about this man was that this man was excluding a holy aura. Not being able to restrain himself, he asked what was on his mind.

---(Paimons's P.O.V)---

I was discussing with my lord Lucifer about the rebellion of Asmodeus in the throne room. It was only two of us as we cannot trust most of the people. I was about to say something when a figure of a man appeared out of nowhere in the middle of the room. It was a man wearing some weird clothes that I never in my life had seen. He was wearing light blue colored clothes with white designs on his waist which were covering his lower half completely. He didn't wear anything on his upper half except a long piece of clothing which wasn't even covering much. What was surprising was this man was here even after setting several magical defense barriers.

Seeing him appear, I quickly got ready to attack as this man was here only meant that he was strong, strong enough to not get noticed by even me, Paimon! But before I could even move, lord Lucifer started to talk with him. He recognized this person as his 'friend' which was not very usual of him. I looked at him, trying to figure out his power and that's when I realized something. This man was covered in holy energy...no this man was the source of that holy energy. This energy felt familiar yet it was distinct. realizing that he has holy energy, I got even more worried and confused.

Worried because this man could easily kill a few legions of the army without any hindrance. I could easily say that because the holy aura he has is very dense.

Confused because I never knew my lord, who resembles pride had an angel as his 'friend'. Was he planning to use this man to win the war? I just couldn't wait to get an answer so I asked him.

Paimon - "My lord, who might this 'friend' of yours be? And why is he releasing a holy aura?"

---( 3rd person P.O.V. )---

This question of Paimon only made Lucifer chuckle a little. He knew this follower of his was very loyal to him and was very worried as there is already a rebellion going on which made a lot of things hard for them and the appearance of Raghav only made it worse for him.

Lucifer - "Paimon, no need to worry. He is a friend of mine. And he is releasing the holy aura because he is an angel."

Lucifer said in a deep straight voice. His voice wasn't loud but his words could easily be heard, even at the end of the room.

Paimon widens his eyes in shock at hearing Lucifer's words. An angel is an enemy of demons and both don't get along well together, it is common sense. How can his lord be a friend with an angel? One thing should be clear, Lucifer had a very prideful personality and would never befriend an angel. He also never heard about him from his lord.

After thinking for a while, he remembered a modern device and chat group that Lucifer told him about. At first, he was intrigued by the fact that there are different worlds with different gods as he always believed in the multiverse theory. He remembered that his lord had told him about a friend that will be visiting them soon but didn't expect that friend to be an angel.

Paimon - "It's a pleasure to meet you, Raghav."

He said as he extended his hands towards Raghav with a smile. He roughly knew Raghav's strength as he could see the holy aura leaking from him so it was better for him to act at least a bit better to respect Raghav's strength. Though he still did not like the presence of an angel. He only did this for formality so his lord Lucifer doesn't mind and respects the power.

Raghav - "It is a pleasure to meet you, Wise Paimon."

Raghav too extended his hand and did a handshake. He looked at paimon to compare him with mythologies with a smile.

Paimon had a light brown skin color and a face that could easily rival the spot for the most handsome man alive. He had a tall build with a height of roughly 6.4 feet. He wore some red clothing with big boots and gloves. But the thing that was most special about him was his crown. He wore a giant crown which was very beautiful and made of gold. On the center of his crown was his sigil.

Paimon - "So you know how to talk, huh? Anyways, simply said, I don't trust you much. But as you are my lord's Friend, I won't do anything. As long as you can prove your strength, I will respect you as a friend and a rival."

Paimon was clear with his words. He could not trust an angel that easily. Even if Raghav was his lord's friend, he still have to beware of him. It was because some demons, who they considered allies, were rebelling against them. So he has to be careful.

Raghav too knew about this. He knew that Paimon was on the list of the demons with the best temperament and personality in hell. It was also the fact that Paimon was a demon and it was usual for them to be prideful and Arrogant. And as Paimon was a loyal follower of Lucifer, he was prideful. Though he had the strength to back up his pride. His strength was enough for him to lead 200 legions of demons which is not a small number. His strength was so much that he was a third-king-level demon.

Raghav (smirk) - "Don't worry, I will make sure to show my strength to you. I can sense an army of demons coming here."

He said Calmly with a smirk. Suddenly, the other two sensed something. It was a big army rushing towards Lucifer's castle. They could vaguely guess the number of the army and the one leading the army was roughly a commander rank.

Lucifer (Smile) - "AHAHAH...Now my friend, can you show us your power? It will prove your strength as well as give me a bit of entertainment."

Lucifer said with a creepy smile. Raghav was one of the few people that made him realize what friendship is so of course, he won't just send his friend to the battlefield to die. He said this so his friend could prove his strength to Paimon. In Hell, strength means a lot and decides your ranking. The more strength, the better and higher your rank is.

Raghav (Sighs) - "You and your entertainment

I recommend you play some video games."

Lucifer - "I cannot go to the mortal world though. You don't know how badly I want to try some things."

Raghav - "Hmm then I'll be sure to send you some stuff."

Lucifer laughed and gave a thumbs up and all of them headed toward the Castle walls. As Raghav walked towards the walls, he realized that Lucifer's castle was very huge. It had several rare and precious things randomly lying in the corners and also had a few animal and demon heads hung on the walls. This sent chills to him as the demonic heads were very creepy and disfigured.

He also saw several demons rushing towards the gates, fully equipped with weapons. Some demon knights came near them and placed their one knew on the ground and heads down. Hearing those knights he understood what had happened. Paimon had summoned 20 legions of the army just in case anything goes wrong. 20 was the max number he could summon on a quick order as everyone was busy either preparing or fighting for the war. This is what you expect from one of the most knowledgeable and wise demons of hell. Paimon had prepared the army just in case anything goes wrong and they get attacked.

{ A/n - One legion has about 6000 soldiers.}

As for why they were being attached? He still didn't know of that. They soon reached the walls where they saw several different demon soldiers, fully equipped with armor and weapons, standing in a row. They were ready for the upcoming battle that was about to happen. Just as they were inspecting them, several knights, riding some demonic horses which were covered in bluish fire came near the gates. Surprisingly, the flames didn't burn the riders. Paimon and Lucifer just nodded seeing them and went to the top of the gates that were connected with the walls to get a better view of the front. Lucifer stood in the middle and Raghav and Paimon were on the left and right respectively.

Raghav saw that hell had a different environment as compared to the normal world. The soil and sky both were red and even the trees there were red. The river flowing not so far reflected the color of the sky and was filled with dead Bodies and the blood of several different creatures. The soil was very dried out yet still several kinds of plants were growing in it. The front of the castle was very clear and was a big open field. He got to know that it was the back of the castle from Lucifer.

After about 10 minutes, a huge army of demons came into their sight. The army consisted of several kinds of demons. Some were very big and bulky while some were like a bone. Some had very burnt skin that looked very ugly while some had spikes and bones coming out of their body. Most of them were riding on horses which were undead. The big and bulky ones didn't ride because of their size and weight but their running created earthquakes. Several flag bearers held the flag with the sigil of Asmodeus.

Everyone was wearing armor according to their capabilities. The giants didn't wear much armor because their skin was very sturdy and some undead skeletons wore very heavy Armour to protect themselves.

There was one demon who was leading the army. He had a muscular build with very heavy Armour. On his chest, there was a sigil of Asmodeus. He was riding a horse that was covered in red fire.

Reaching the walls, the legion stopped and looked at the three people already waiting for them with a huge army behind them.

The Leader - "I, Asmel, will defeat you today and make you beg for mercy. Lucifer, I will kill you the last and then I will be promoted to a higher rank. AHAHAHAHAH!"

Asmel declared with a loud voice that was filled with arrogance. He was trying to please Asmodeus to gain a higher rank and more reputation.

Paimon - "You worthless demon, How dare you to oppose my lord and try to rebel?"

Paimon shouted from the top of the walls but

the demon just laughed upon hearing his words. He pointed towards Lucifer with a smirk then said with arrogance.

Asmel - "Paimon, why do you even follow him? He will die today anyway. Join Asmodeus! He will grant any and all of your wishes."

Paimon got irritated listening to Asmel. He was very loyal to Lucifer and could never even imagine betraying him but a mere commander rank demon dared to buy his loyalty?

Paimon - "Asmel! You lowly dog! Do you think you can buy my loyalty? Not even in my dreams did I imagine betraying my lord. You will pay for the greatest sin you did in your life, that is, betraying lord Lucifer, the one who represents Pride itself!"

He summoned a fireball in his hands and was ready to kill this lowly demon when Lucifer moved his right hand in front of him, indicating for him to stop. He looked at Asmel with a smirk that turned into a creepy smile.

Lucifer - "AHAHAH...a mere low-rank demon will kill me? What a joke. You will regret rebelling, I promise you that. You brought approximately 4 legions, let's see how long you would last against my friend."

Lucifer laughed hard with a cryptic voice that could easily scare even the bravest of the brave. He then moved his gaze towards Raghav and raised an eyebrow with a creepy smile.

Lucifer - "Friend, it's time for you to show your powers. Though I am sad that there is only a small fry like him here. I am sure you don't mind it."

Raghav got excited because he gets to fight. He will fight demons who are stronger than usual. Though Lucifer mentioned Asmel as a low-ranked, in actuality, Asmel was a high-rank demon commander with a lot of strength so of course, he didn't mind fighting him. How did he get to know about the strength of Asmel? It was his warrior instinct.

He jumped on the ground with his hands on the back. One should note that the walls of the castle are at least 70 feet tall, meaning that any normal person wouldn't even be alive if they did the same. He slowly walked towards them without any weapons. The Demon Asmel looked at him with a smirk.

Asmel - "Are you surrendering? Well, I won't guarantee a painless death for you. AHAHA. KILL HIM!!!"

The demon commander ordered and the other demons started running towards Raghav with all their weapons drawn and magic spells prepared. They fired several different kinds of magical attacks such as fireballs, energy bombs, etc. at Raghav with full force, trying to kill him as soon as possible. Raghav on the other hand just stood there without moving. All the attacks landed on him and blasted him.

_**Boom**_

The blast affect even the ground and a cloud of smoke surrounded the place where Raghav was standing. All demons got excited to see this. They thought he died and started to celebrate. But to their dismay, the heads of the few demons exploded without a single warning. This scared the soul of the lesser demons as they got worried about their life. Every single one of them looked at the place where the smoke was. Even Paimon was smirking as he was aware that Raghav didn't die but wanted to know what he'll do.

Slowly the smoke disappeared and the figure of Raghav could be seen, standing without any problem and several reddish-orange barriers surrounding him. It was a skill he got from his system.

[ Random skill - Barrier(A) ]

[ Information - One can create a barrier that can block any attack up to A-rank if provided with enough energy. ]

Raghav - "Looks like this is what your army is capable of. No worries though, I will make sure that none of them survives after today."

He said and lifted his right hand to the sky. Suddenly several holy light orbs appeared in the sky. After a second, all of them turned into javelins with very sharp and pointy tips that could easily pierce even the sturdiest metal existing.

Seeing holy magic, several demons got scared, they knew that they can easily die if they get hit by holy magic. This was the major weakness of every demon existing.... may be a few exceptions but it applies to most of them.

Raghav then moved his hand forward, indicating to attack and all the Holy Javelins rushed toward the demons and pierced them. More than 4000 demons died with just one attack.

Paimon - 'Impressive.'

He thought as he realized that Raghav is as strong as he thought him to be, maybe even stronger. He could almost wipe out a legion of demons with just one attack meaning that he is strong. Seeing his expression, Lucifer smiled and continued to watch the 'Massacre' that was yet to happen.

Before the demons could even react, the ground suddenly started shaking. The land was splitting apart and something was coming out of it.

Asmel - "What the heck is happening?"

Suddenly a giant spike emerged from the ground and made a hole in the chest of a huge bulky demon. The demons didn't even have the time to be scared as several spikes emerged and did the same to other bulky demons. Just like this, One legion of demons was down and left the rest in a state of disbelief.

Asmel - "AAGGGH! KILL HIM, YOU IDIOTS!!"

Asmel roared in anger as he was irritated that one legion was dead in under a minute. Listening to his orders, several demons started to rush towards Raghav, griping their weapons as tightly as they could. Raghav stood in his position Calmly. He looked at them with a frown and shouted.

Raghav - "Eat them, Earth Dragon!."

Suddenly, a giant snake-like creature made of rocks emerged from the ground. The snake dragon was almost the size of the walls of the Castle. It had a dragon-like head with two giant horns on its head, and its eyes were very big but it didn't have any eyeballs. It was a red-colored creature. The mighty snake-dragon roared and dashed towards the demons who were trying to eat. A few weaker demons got scared and tried to run in the opposite direction only to get bumped by the demons coming forward.

All the giant and bulky demons prepared themselves to fight the snake dragon and leaped into the sky to attack. The snake-dragon just opened its mouth and gulped all the giant demons in one go. It then started to eat all the demons that it could. The number of armies decreased at a tremendous rate as the snake dragon ate a lot of them.

A few high-ranking demons came forward and prepared their strongest spells. Several high power beams were shot toward the snake dragon and destroyed it. But they could only worry more as soon dozens of dragons emerged from the ground and started eating the demons.

Asmel - "Use magic, you Bastards! Use your brain!"

Asmel roared in anger. He already had a big loss because of one man and didn't want more of it. He too started to fight the snake dragon, thinking that he could easily destroy them.

The magicians started to attack but soon they felt their bodies freezing. They looked at their bodies and realized that the lower half of the body was frozen with Ice.

Demon 1 - "Wh-What is this?"

Demon 2 - "I am frozen? How?"

But before they could even do anything, a rain of fire started. All the demons present cried in agony as they started to burn. This wiped out the entire army that Asmel brought to defeat Lucifer.

Of course, only Asmel survived this attack because of his armor. Though even his armor was damaged a lot and was broken because of the attack.

Asmel - "You piece of shit! I will kill you myself!"

Asmel said as he got off his horse and picked up his great sword. He ran towards Raghav with his sword covered with magic, ready to kill Raghav. He came closer and swung his sword from top to bottom, thinking of cutting Raghav in half. Raghav just simply extended his hand to stop the weapon.

*BOOM*

The clash between Asmel's sword and Raghav's hand made s very loud noise. Asmel looked at Raghav who was holding his sword with just two fingers.

Asmel - "H-How is th-this even possible?"

Asmel felt an emotion that overpowered his pride. He felt an emotion that shook his body and soul to the core. This emotion was none other than 'Fear'. Something a Demon does not feel often.

Raghav - "Well why don't you think about this when you die and go to hell.... never mind, we are already in hell."

Raghav chuckled at his joke while Asmel's heart paused realizing that soon he'll die and he can't even do anything to protect himself.

Paimon - "Wait a minute Raghav!"

Raghav looked back at the source of the voice and saw Paimon and Lucifer walking toward him. Both had several knights following them, holding their respective weapons.

Paimon - "Leave this lowly dog to me."

Paimon said looking at Asmel and then moving toward Raghav. He cracked his fingers and forced a smile and then again looked at Asmel.

Paimon - "I will be sure to entertain this guest of ours as there are several questions that I would like to ask this lowly dog."
