Chapter 3: New Members, and First Quest.

*One long explanation later*

[Megalomaniac]: And that's basically the gist of it.

[Moon Dregs]: I see, this whole thing just feels unreal.

[Megalomaniac]: Shinsuke felt the same way during the explanation, anyway, I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Chara, nice to meet you.

[Moon Dregs]: Junpei Yoshino, you can just call me Junpei, it's nice to meet you Chara.

I already knew that [Moon Dregs] was from a world like my old one, but I didn't expect him to be Junpei from Jujutsu Kaisen.

[Moon Dregs]: So is Shinsuke the only other member?

[Megalomaniac]: Yeah, he has already gone to bed.

[Moon Dregs]: I see, that reminds me it's already quite late, I should head to bed, though I'm not sure if I can.

[Megalomaniac]: Let's hope, Goodnight.

[Moon Dregs]: Goodnight.

[System]: [Moon Dregs]: Has Disconnected.

Closing the Chat Group I also decided to head to bed myself, as Shinsuke didn't have a guest bedroom in his small house, I was stuck sleeping on the Sofa, but it was quite comfortable, so I paid no mind to it, and I drifted to sleep.

"Did you hear that Prince Zuko locked himself in his room and has refused to come out after going on about an invisible screen in front of him?"

"What really, has he finally gone crazy after all his nonstop training?"

'This must be the doing of the Avatar!'

Zuko's whole being shouted in his head, as he stared at the floating screen before him.

He had been staring at the screen all day attempting to figure out what it was, and what the words on the screen meant, although he was still hesitant to press either of the buttons.

Though he had shut himself into his room for the last eight hours to analyze the screen undisturbed, he was starting to worry.

'What if it disappeared before he had the chance to select an option?'

So he had finally steeled his heart, and selected the agree option.

[System]: [Prince of Fire] has been added to the group.

Seeing the even more complex screen he was confused.

~~~

[Prince of Fire]: What is this?

[Prince of Fire]: it read my mind?!

[Prince of Fire]: It did it again?!

Zuko sent a few messages by accident, before figuring out how to stop.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Zuko looked back at the screen, although it showed other members on the side, they were offline.

'So I'm not the only one.' Zuko thought inwardly, thinking about this weird phenomena that has occurred to him, perhaps it wasn't the doing of the Avatar…

But as he scrolled up he had found an explanation, along with the names of other members, but as he read more of the messages, he had found himself in a state of disbelief!

Other Worlds?! A Shop that contained apparently everything?! Quests to other worlds!?

Perhaps somewhere on his mission to find the Avatar had he gone truly crazy, as when he tried to show his uncle, apparently it was invisible for him.

While he was contemplating what to do, a notification alerted him.

[System]: [Megalomaniac] has connected.

[Megalomaniac]: Uhh hello?

Someone had finally come online, someone he could ask the question stuck in his head.

[Prince of Fire]: Yes hello.

[Prince of Fire]: is what the other messages say true?

[Megalomaniac]: Uh, yeah.

With the question on his mind answered, Zuko already knew his next course of actions.

~~~

[Prince of Fire]: Thank you for answering my question, but I must attend to some urgent matters.

[System]: [Prince of Fire] has disconnected.

A tactical retreat!

'Weird' I thought seeing the latest message in the group chat, I had woken up in the middle of the night from the notifications, but luckily it seemed he read my previous explanation to Junpei.

'Screw this I'll just talk to him in the morning.' I lazily thought as I went back to sleep.

Opening my mouth I let out a large yawn as I opened my eyes, I had the sudden urge to look through my phone, but seeing my surroundings I was quickly reminded of my situation.

Opening the Chat Group up, it seemed nobody has said anything since my conversation with [Prince of Fire], I would have to wait for an Introduction later.

Getting up from the sofa, I prepared myself mentally for the day ahead, as I couldn't be lazy all day long, plus I could raid Shinsuke's fridge while he was still sleeping.

Making my way into Shinsuke's kitchen, I excitedly opened his fridge wondering what other worldly food he'll have.

And to my surprise!

It was empty…

'Damn it.' I cursed inside my head, what kind of monster only eats out?

But suddenly I heard a voice come from behind me "Why are you in my fridge?"

Turning around It was of course Shinsuke.

"What do you think?" I responded as I shut the door of the fridge.

"Tch."

Shinsuke obviously annoyed turned around to leave.

"I'll be in the backyard training if you need anything."

Shinsuke said as he left through the sliding glass door near the kitchen.

'Well that reminds me, the Quest Menu should be active now', walking over to the sofa I decided to take a seat, while I viewed the Menu.

But before checking the Quest Menu, I decided to quickly take a glance at my stats to see if anything had changed.

The first thing I noticed was I now had Chakra, and a Lightning Affinity, I was confused on how they were suddenly added until I realized that my Kekkei Genkai had gone up by two levels.

'Perhaps Adaption is more powerful than I think.'

Changing my attention to my stats, I was surprised to see they all went up by two, except for spirit, which only went up by one because of the debuff I had.

Perhaps it was also the work of my Adaption Skill, or perhaps the Chakra strengthening my body, but I still had no clue on how either really worked.

'I did wake up feeling a bit lighter this morning.' I remembered as I just chalked it up to a good night's rest.

'Oh yeah the Quest Menu.' I said reminding myself of the reason I was looking at my stats in the first place.

Looking at the Menu I hadn't expected two quests to already be available.

Selecting 'Learn a Taijutsu Style', I was curious on the rewards of such a quest.

Description: Taijutsu is a basic for combat, even master swordsmen at least knew the basics, 'Learn a Taijutsu Style to keep your self protected.

Task: Learn a Taijutsu Style.

Rewards: 5 Attribute Points.

[Activate]

Reading the description what it said made sense, Taijutsu was indeed a basic for combat, plus the reward was also quite generous.

But I would wait to activate it, as perhaps, it would be better to save up Exchange Points and buy a Taijutsu Style from the Shop, and I already had a Taijutsu Style in mind, it being the perfect blend of offense and defense.

Going back to the Quest Menu, I selected the only other available quest, as the other one was locked.

Description: There is a limit on how much you can communicate with each other through a screen, get to know each other in person.

Task: Successfully get to know each other.

Looking at the contents of the quest I was surprised on how easy it was, and how generous the rewards were.

'I'm already so bored, and no way am I going to stay inside as Shinsuke trains all day.', It was getting about time for everyone's first quest…

My thoughts.

Thinking back to when I said no major changes, but this chapter and the last one have been total rewrites… Anyway, the last two members of the Chat Group have been revealed, and I hoped you didn't mind I skipped the explanation to Junpei, I wasn't sure if you beautiful people could sit through yet another explanation after finishing the last one.
