30 Seven Mysteries Part 11

The statue is no longer something that looks normal. That thing he was looking at is no longer the definition of normal. And he is ready to say that this is something he isn't liking one bit. The statue's face is so scary that he even feels the primal fear in him creep out. Kazuma is not easily scared by scary things but that smile earlier made him totally scared and a bit troubled.

That smile on the monster's face remains plastered on its face, making the Qlipoth entity totally nightmare fuel.

"F*ck this man, the notes didn't even specify that this thing would have a very disturbing face to look at!" Kazuma cursed.

Despite his fears, Kazuma didn't just stand there instead, he took advantage of the status is its moving and readied his magic and the hammer. On his other arm, he conjured flames, ready to be hurled to the statue.

Seeing that the statue didn't do anything but stare at him with that disturbing face, Kazuma rushes forward to the statue and keeps the fireball ready to fling.

The statue also moved and tried to welcome Kazuma with its big mouth as it opened it up, revealing a whole set of teeth inside it. A pit of sharp teeth.

"Eat this!"

BAM!

Kazuma fling the fireball straight to the statue but the fireball didn't even make any significant changes at all. More like the the fireball has not even harmed it.

"Sh*t!"

The statue tried to bite off Kazuma's head but with Kazuma's quick reflexes, he managed to evade the attack. That gives Kazuma enough time to retreat a bit at a safer distance. Although it was quick, Kazuma saw the statue stretch it's body like a rubber allowing it to remain on where it was standing yet capable of launching it's attack despite its distance. Thankfully, the reach isn't that long and it is enough for Kazuma to maintain a slight distance against it.

"Goddamn, I would have been a goner if I have been a bit closer to that guy," Kazuma wipes off the sweat trickling down his forehead.

It's not moving from its spot but Kazuma cannot rely on that information as there might be an offhand chance that it does have the ability to move and if he believes that it cannot move from where it was might cause his early downfall.

He readied his hammer and he also pulled out the chisel ready as well but just kept it on his belt for a bit, easy to pull when necessary and easy to put back when not needed.

Assessing how fast the statue can move in its extended form, Kazuma decided to try and risk getting close.

Making a single step, he dashed forward, by using the explosion of flames to boost his dash and increase the distance covered. The statue is already expecting this and attacked, raising its two arms and trying to grab Kazuma as he moves forward.

But Kazuma is also expecting that matter and uses his magic ability to control water. By conjuring water, he pushed away both its hands trying to grab at him, and made a temporary barrier made of water and dispelled the incoming hands.

As soon as the temporary barrier disappeared, Kazuma used the same method he used dashed forward once more, and cut the distance between the two, much closer than before. Kazuma knows his hammer would barely do any damage but he decided to try and amplify it by imagining the pressure being applied to the head of the hammer as it slams down to the statue.

However, the effects are not what Kazuma expected it to be. No matter how strong the effects were on his mind, his ability to fully manifest the said ability is not yet on par with Kazuma in his mind.

PENG!

A dull thud of the hammer landed on the statue but it didn't do much aside from a slight crack. Other than that, it only made a dull sound.

Seeing how ineffective the attack Kazuma got, the statue smiled creepily before punching Kazuma in the gut.

"Kuhaaak!" Kazuma spewed out blood and was sent flying after the attack. Although Kazuma managed to immediately recover from the attack, the pain in his gut remained and that wasn't an ideal thing.

Perhaps his tactics were wrong and he wasn't just utilizing his abilities to the fullest but he needed to beat the Qlipoth before it gets troublesome and can harm others.

He thought for a bit about how he should utilize the abilities of water and fire together. Then, he realized something.

"Perhaps I can try that?"

Kazuma conjured a cascade of water and let it dance around him like a serpent.  He used this ability by consuming most of his mana and leaving only a tiny bit enough to help accomplish the act. Even though it is not something he has done before, he can at least try it out.

Since the pain in his gut was still hurting, Kazuma decided to just walk slowly while keeping the conjured water around him and keeping it dancing around. If Kazuma stops, the water will just drop off and the water will just disappear. Kazuma needed this for the battle and tried to see a way to deal with the statue.

"Even if it is a statue, it is still a Qlipoth disguised as a statue. It doesn't have the same tenacity as the real statue which is made of either stone or cement. It is only tough in defensive capabilities but it is still a flesh and blood all the same."

As he approached slowly, the statue tried to attack and extend itself to appear menacing but Kazuma kept himself calm and used the water he was letting on dancing around to keep the attacks at bay. The attacks were easily deflected but Kazuma also hoped that those deflects at least damaged the Qlipoth a bit but knowing how tough the Qlipoth statue is, he did not really see it getting beaten by just that.

Seeing that all of its attacks were not even working, the statue's big mouth opened and tried to attack by trying to swallow Kazuma whole. However, that is what Kazuma was expecting the Qlipoth statue will do.

As the big mouth opened wide enough, Kazuma controlled all the water he was letting move to shove straight to the Qlipoth's mouth.

"BLUB!" the statue was surprised when water filled its wide mouth, swirling inside wildly. It's not damaging the Qlipoth statue but it seems the statue was stunned by what is happening.

Before the water fell, Kazuma conjured a ball of flames in his other hand, leaving only enough mana on him so that he wouldn't have a massive headache but even though he left a bit, the headache was still manifesting. It's bearable but it's still a headache nonetheless.

"HA!"

As the fireball on his hand had already materialized in its fiery glory, Kazuma hurled the fireball straight to the mouth of the statue Qlipoth. Because both water and fire have collided, a massive explosion occurred and the Qlipoth was directly hit by it.

With the fireball hitting the intended place, Kazuma retreated pulled out the pill in his pocket, and popped one to recover his lost mana. The attack may be successful but the battle is yet to be over.

"What a pain in the *ss."
