Jiayi was sure that Xyrin will say that she indeed has an amnesia but she was even surprised with what happened next.

Xyrin laughed.

"Amnesia? You're joking, right?" Lei asked.

Then, she smiled and said, "I am not suffering from amnesia. Why did you even say that?"

While looking at Liam, she asked, "Why? Am I supposed to know him?"

The temperature suddenly turns cold and Lei knows why.

He asked again, "You really don't know him?"

Xyrin laughed awkwardly, "I don't know why you're insisting on this matter but I really don't."

"I am Liam Alexander Xia, your fiancé", Liam said in annoyance.

"Liam?" Xyrin uttered softly, as if hearing the name for the first time.

"Ow! Liam..."

Then, she looked at him thoroughly and continued, seemingly disappointed.

"It's you."

Liam didn't say anything but Lei knows that his friend is boiling in anger. At this point, he seems dignified but he knew him well. There's only one person who's capable of breaking through his defenses and right now, she's in front of him, saying those things.

Suddenly he wonders whether she knows no fear or is it because she already has a suicide plan.
