7 Fiancé

"Wait! Did I hear it correctly? You said that you are my fiancé?" Zyrin asked and laughed heartily.

"I didn't know that you're capable of saying such joke."

"Joke?"

"It wasn't I who started it. And anyway, just in case you are not aware of, everyone knows that we are still engage."

"Still engage? We were never been engaged in the first place. How come that you are saying that we are still engage?"

Zyrin frowned, expressing her disappointment.

It only last for a moment but Liam, to his annoyance saw it.

"It wasn't even I who started the idea of engagement. And it will never be my idea to conceal the truth to save your parents' face." Liam said, full of disdain.

Zyrin's cheeks turns slightly red because of the memories that suddenly crossed her mind.

But she knows how to handle such situations pretty well.

She smiled, a little bit reserve, and said, "Mr. Xia, I am sincerely apologizing for what happened three years ago. I'd been so inconsiderate towards you..."

"At least, you know that." Liam said, trying to suppress his smile.

"...and I was foolish enough to do those ridiculous things. I don't want to rationalize myself but I can't help it. You know that I was still young that time, right? And, I honestly think that I wasn't on my right mind back then. My sincerest apologies."

"You..." Liam didn't expect that.

Is she implying that she was a fool because she loved him?

"Mr. Xia, you don't need to worry about it. As soon as possible, I'll clarify the issue without tarnishing your name. And if I need to compensate for the damage that I have done, just tell me, I'll be willing to oblige. Bye, Mr. Xia."

And with that, she dragged Jiayi away from them, without even giving Liam a chance to say anything.
