6 Grandfather

The second phase started and all of them including Suna hunted the pigs needed to make a dish using pork. Suna finished up quickly and cut up the pig and got rid of the unnecessary parts and only left the pigs belly.

She played with her knives a bit and cut the skin part of the pig before seasoning it with salt and pepper and lemon. 'I'm gonna save some for my sweetheart later' Suna giggled and sauté onions and garlic in a pan with wine she have with her and some wild vegetables she thought is edible.

She finished up almost the same time as Gon and the others did.

"Your plate looks nice Suna! Right Killua?"

Gon complimented and Killua gave a look and nodded.

"Thank you dear! Yours, are um, looks edible hehe"

Suna gave a compliment based on what she saw. She was behind Killua and it was his turn. The judges actually got angry so she just chuckled at Killua's expression.

"Don't worry dearest, you don't have to be good at cooking. I'll do it all for you"

Suna grinned and presented her dish. Menchi and Buhara eyed the dish and complimented her presentation.

"It's looks good, the nicest one so far. Now let's have a taste"

Menchi took a spoonful of it in her mouth and was actually smiling as she chewed on it. Suna, seeing how every applicant got rejected, she whispered to Menchi.

"Um, Menchi-san, could you fail me too? I think it's unfair to the others if I pass too"

"Wait are you serious number 406?"

"Yes I am very serious Menchi-san"

"Okay then. Fail!"

Suna just giggled and did a fake scratch on her head while walking away. She went over to see how Killua is doing with the piece she personally saved for him to taste.

"Are you upset you failed, love? Here I saved some for you. If you'd like please have a taste"

Suna said and offered Killua. Killua hesitantly accepted the plate and looked at her. 'She could've put poison—' Killua's thoughts were cut off when Suna chuckled and spoke.

"Don't worry sweetie, I won't put poison in your food. You won't enjoy it that way"

Killua just eyed and rolled his eyes. 'Whatever' he thought and took a bite. Which actually impressed him.

"Do you like it Kil?"

"It's good"

Killua said nonchalantly while it was evident in how he finished it up that he actually liked the food. Suna went over to Gon and gave him his piece, she saved one for all of them after all. But the love of her life's piece is a lot bigger.

"Here I thought I'm the only one she's giving them to" Killua said to himself and walked over to where Gon and the others are.

"You're actually a good cook Suna! You could be my wife! Hahaha kidding!"

Leorio praised and laughed while eating his part. Of course Suna just laughed and looked at Killua before answering. 'Weird girl' he thought.

"Don't get upset honey, Leorio was just joking"

"Who said I'm upset"

Killua just crossed his arms and rolled his eyes while Suna just smiled at him. In the end all of them failed the exam, but just as things are getting heated up between the examiners and the applicants, a giant blimp flew above them.

And a man came down from it and landed safely on the ground. Suna was surprised and quickly ran to the old man and hugged him.

"Grandfather!"
