1 New beginning

"One occurrence in our lives can change everything in our life, sometimes those incidents are happy ones and sometimes they are like hurricanes who come and destroy everything in our life."

How fast the time goes, it was just a few years ago when she was one of the luckiest women but she never thought those things she loved so much one day will disappear like thin air leaving her all alone.

"Madam." The driver called out her mistress who was resting in the backseat, leaning her head on the seat. Her eyes, as peaceful as ever, rested there. The sharp and pointy nose of her giving asymmetric to her face.

Her sharp jawline and lips, plumpy and red like a red rose perfectly define her beauty.

It was for sure that no one could guess her real age by seeing her face, it was youthful and evergreen like always. One would think she may be a witch who never ages.

The driver hesitated for a second to call her madam one more time but eventually, she did call one more time, this time her voice clearer and louder than before.

"Madam." Hearing her driver's voice, the young woman woke up from her slumber. She opened her almond eyes slowly, revealing her emerald green orbs which still sparkle like gems found in one in a thousand. One can easily dive into those pairs of emerald eyes and lose themselves in them.

Her fair, smooth skin outshine her eyes, a face that can hook both man and woman but still, there was a presence of loneliness in those eyes.

"Did we reach?" She looked up at her driver with no expression on her peerless face.

"Yes ma'am." The driver lowered her head and replied to her with the utmost respect.

After being affirmed, She opened her door and slowly came out of her car. She looked up at the huge skyscraper in front of her. It still looks the same as it was five years ago.

A sudden nostalgia hit her, as she reminisced about her past. She tightened her fist to hold the storm of emotions she was feeling inside her.

"Miss Suzan, we have been waiting for you." A young woman came towards her and spoke.

"Mm." Suzan didn't reply anything just nodded while hiding her tears that formed at the corner of her eyes.

"I am Mr. Michael's assistant, you can call me Joey." The woman introduces herself to Suzan with a gleam. Suzan nodded to her as she shook her hands with her showing a gesture of formality.

"Mr. Michael is waiting for you in his office, let me take you there." Joey showed the way to Suzan, unknown that Suzan was far familiar with this place. But still, Suzan didn't say anything instead followed silently.

'This time I will rewind every memory of us.' Suzan is determined in her mind.

On the top floor of the skyscraper was the office of Michael. A young man was reading some documents on his desk. The office was themed with gray shades even the furniture was gray, matching the tones of the wall.

The young man ran his long slender fingers through his jet black hairs while reading through the documents.

Soon there was a knock on the door, hearing the knock, he didn't keep his files away instead he asked them to come in without even glancing towards the door.

And soon Suzan and Joey entered the gray shades office which still looked elegant on its own.

Joey bowed before Michael, "Sir, here is Miss Suzan." She introduces Suzan to indifferent Michael.

Suzan didn't say anything she can't take her eyes away from him, he was still the same after all these years they have been apart, nothing changed, just their relationship status change.

Michael nodded, ruffling through his hair as he slowly raised his head and looked towards them.

He was in disbelief when he saw her, he thought he was dreaming for a second, but he didn't stay surprised for long, even though he was in turmoil he didn't show it to Suzan and Joey. He got up from his place and walked closer to them.

Every step he took closer to Suzan, he was walking on their memory lane of when they used to spend time together, and it was the same for Suzan, she wanted to run into his arms and feel his embrace and warmth.

But she can't, she stood at her place looking at his figure getting closer and in no time he was standing in front of her.

Suzan wanted to cry out but didn't dare to show it to him that she still cares, that all these years she still eagerly waits for him. She misses him more than anyone. But she can't...

"Miss Suzan..." Michael's voice sounded a bit weird, it had nostalgia and melancholy in it as he forwarded his hands towards her.

Suzan's hands trembled a bit before she forwarded it and shook hands with him. After she felt his touch she knew it was not a dream, it was the truth, he was again standing in front of her, and this time she didn't want to let go of those hands.

She can't be a weak and crying one now, she was never a meek one and she knows better than anyone that it was not her ex-husband type. He was never interested in weak and shy girls otherwise he would be not her ex-husband.

Michael tried to pull back his hand but she didn't let go of it, when he looked at her, he couldn't see a shy one instead her eyes felt with the same confidence like she had years ago. She raised one of her brows as if she was challenging him.

While their eyes talk, Joey felt the strong aura coming out from both of them which was making her suffocate. She could feel something was wrong between them but didn't dare to ask.

"You guys carry on, I will bring some refreshments for both of you." Joey interrupted both of them and excused herself from the room.
