2 Let me help

On sudden interruption of Joey, both Michael and Suzan finally came out of their thoughts. Suzan finally let go of his hands and looked away from them to suppress her tears.

Even though Suzan tried her best to hide them, Michael still got a glance at it. A sudden pain hit his chest, making him a stone, unable to move nor say something to her.

He tried to act as if he didn't notice anything as he looked towards Joey and nodded.

Joey left the room after getting permission, but before going out of the office completely she glanced back at them. She knew there was something inside those two silent faces. Maybe a past, who none of them dares to clear it out but maybe that past is most precious for them.

As soon Joey left the room, Suzan looked up at him, "You can be acting with your acting?" She scoffed as she heart felt the pain of thousands of knives ripping it apart.

Michael sneered at her words, acting? Wasn't she a better actor than her? She played with his hearts not once but twice in the past and acted as if it was all his fault but how can he forget the smiling face of her when he was dying there. It was she who tried to kill him with her lover.

Everything from the beginning was a plan, a plan of her to use him as a puppet and then kill him.

"I don't think the one who is saying is not suitable to say that?" Michael blurted out, fixing his cuffs, and walking closer to her.

Suzan knew what he meant, but she also wanted to speak out the truth but she didn't dare to.

"What do you mean?" She acted as if she didn't understand what his words meant.

"Yeah, you will never because you never got the pain of being stabbed by the love of your life, Miss Suzan…" Michael babble it out on her face but then he stopped and leaned closer to her, "Or should I say Sara, my dear ex-wife." He whispered.

Those words petrified her, she knew how much hatred he had for her, and it was no one else than her who sowed that seed of hatred in his heart.

She knows that seed has grown into a strong tree, and it may be impossible to kill it. She wants to try, she wants to go back to the past where they were so happy with each other.

"Can you stop saying that?" Sara bit her lips and curled both of her fingers into a fist.

Michael looked at her eyes on hearing that, "Why? Do you feel ashamed to be called Sara or ashamed that once you married me and slept with me?"

Sara stood there in disbelief when she heard his last words. Ashamed? Does he think of her like that? Why will she be ashamed of the memories that she cherishes the most?

Sara smirked, looking straight into Michael's eyes, "True, I am ashamed that I didn't enjoy you well enough in bed, but don't worry..." She stopped speaking and approached closer to him.

Michael was getting a weird vibe as she got close, he instinctively took a step back until he was knocked onto the sofa and lost his balance.

He fell down and naturally he grabbed onto Sara's arm and pulled her down with him.

They both fell on the sofa, while Sara above him. Her head resting over his chest.

Michael's heart skipped a beat, sensing her sense and warmth so close to him.

He knew he would lose control once she came close to him. He was such a hopeless one, one word from her can break his willpower to pieces. No matter how many years he is apart from her, he will never be able to let go of the love he has for her. Was it even possible to move on?

Michael looked at Sara, she still looked the same except for a few changes, like her hair color and it's shortened in length.

She was still like before, one look of her can kill thousands. If only she was his, he would have held her so tightly that he would never let go of her even if she wanted to leave him.

Sara saw him staring at her. She bites her lips, before crawling up. She was now facing to face with him, she looked at his amber orbs, which were like a fire.

"Can't take your eyes off?" She raised her brow, teasing him. On her question, Michael woke up from his trail of thoughts and flushed a bit seeing her above him like that.

He tried to hide him by blushing."Get off from me." He commanded her, his eyes looking in different directions.

Sara chuckled seeing him so flustered, she remembered their first meeting when he kissed him. She recalls their past about how he asked her to marry him as taking responsibility and how fierce she felt on hearing that but unknown to her she ended up agreeing to it and eventually she fell in love with him.

"Do you remember what you did when you met me for the first time?" Sara asked him, her eyes showing a bit of agony in her eyes. On her sudden question, Michael turned his head towards and looked at her sad eyes. He curled up his finger into a fist, to control his emotion. How can he not remember? He can still feel her soft lips when he thinks of that meeting. How she kissed him in front of everyone and said to take responsibility.

"No, I don't," Michael replied to her coldly.

Sara knew he does even more than her but his pride will never let him accept it.

"Since you don't remember, let me help." As soon as she finished her sentence, she placed her lips on Michael, taking him astounded. His eyes wide open as Sara's kiss deepened. He didn't know how to react. Should he kiss her back or push her away. But his heart was no longer a place, it was pounding like crazy.
