2 Second Life.

The light coming from a room came to Ryuchen when he opened his eyes. He looks around. He's not familiar with the room. He immediately touched his head. There were no wounds or blood there, but he could still feel the pain from the accident all over his body.

"You're awake!" he saw Lyka when the doors opened.

She looks happy. He frowned.

'What is she doing here?'

"Where am I?" Ryuchen asked her.

"In my apartment." she replied. "Have you forgotten what happened?"

He stiffened.

'Did something happen to us? But I do not remember anything!'

He simply looked at his body. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that he was still wearing his clothes.

"What happened?" he asked just to make sure nothing happened between them.

"Chloe kidnapped me!" Ryuchen's heart stopped beating slightly when he heard Chloe's name. "I almost got raped because of your damn wife's order. She hired people to kidnap and rape me. You don't know what they did to torture me while you were away! That b*tch tortured me. I thought... I thought I would never see you again."

He heard her soft sob.

Ryuchen doesn't know why, but he no longer feels pity or concern for her. Perhaps on the corner of his mind, he begins to doubt her.

He immediately stood up as he remembered Chloe.

'Isn't she dead? How can she kidnap Lyka..... what's going on?'

"Where's Chloe?" He felt worried when something suddenly entered his mind.

If he was not mistaken, Jason said when he talked to him, Chloe was almost raped when he left her to bring Lyka to the hospital after she was kidnapped. Because he was so worried at that time about Lyka that he left Chloe in the place where he saw them.

"I don't know." she replied while hugging his arm. "We left her in the place where you saw us. She was probably toyed with by the men she ordered to kidnap me." Lyka smiled meaningfully. "It's good for her! That's her karma in case she is the one being raped by the people she hired."

"I'm leaving!" He pulled his arm that she was hugging then he walked out of her room. Ryuchen stopped when he felt Lyka's hug from behind. "What are you doing? Let me go." he said irritably.

"Where are you going?"

"I'll look for Chloe." he said.

"Why?" tears welled up in her eyes. "Why do you have to look for your damn wife? Ryu, I almost got raped because of that f*cking b*tch. Maybe she's having a good time now with the kidnappers."

How dare her say that to Chloe!

Lyka tricked him that Chloe was lying and always making trouble. She took the time that his wife and him should have. All of his life, she convinced him that she was the one who saved him from the kidnappers when they were still young.

Every summer, Lyka goes to Chloe's house to take a vacation when they were kids. Because they were cousins and both the same age, they became close to each other like sisters. Jason and him immediately became friends with her after Chloe introduced her to them.

Until the kidnapping happened to him. According to the doctor, due to the trauma he barely forgot what happened when he was kidnapped. When he woke up after that incident, he immediately saw Lyka next to him while crying. Ryuchen asked her if she was the one who helped and rescued him from the kidnappers, to which she immediately replied yes. Since then he has considered his life to be indebted to Lyka.

A week after his kidnapping and being discharged to hospital, he found out that Chloe and her parents went to America and no one told him about it and Lyka even mentioned that Chloe didn't even visit him in the hospital.

After the incident, Lyka is always beside him. That's when Lyka and Ryuchen started to become closer to each other.

But Lyka doesn't matter right now, what matters now is he needs to make sure Chloe is safe.

Ryuchen understands what is happening to him right now. He goes back to the past. Maybe Chloe is one of God's favorite daughters, that's why God gave him a chance to make things right.

"Where's Chloe?" Ryuchen asked the maids when he entered the villa where him and Chloe were staying.

"She hasn't been back since she left this morning, young master." their butler replied.

'Damn!! How many hours has it been since I left Chloe with the kidnappers?'

He felt nervous, what if something bad happened to her? His hands were shaking as he picked up his phone. He called Chloe's phone, but no one answered. He can almost say all the bad words that he knows because of that. He called three times before someone picked up his call.

"Hello." a man voice said to another line.

Ryuchen doesn't know if he will cry or laugh. He breathed a sigh of relief when Jason suddenly entered his mind. He knows Jason was on the other line. He knows he is the one who will save his wife.

"Jason! Where's Chloe?" he asked. "Is she with you now? Tell me where you are. I will go there."

He heard nothing on the other line for a few seconds before he looked at his phone screen. His call on Chloe's phone is still connected. But why is no one speaking on the other line?

"Jason!"

"Chloe is resting now." he replied. "How did you know it's---?"

"Doesn't matter." he answered then he left his room to go to his car again. "Tell me where you are. I will go there."

Jason said where they were. He was about to make his car fly when he found out Chloe was in the hospital.

Ryuchen immediately saw Chloe as she lay on the hospital bed. Her cheeks are red and slightly swollen. There were also wounds and bruises all over her face and arm. He felt his blood boiled when he saw Chloe's condition.

In his past life, because of his concern for Lyka, he did not know what happened to Chloe after he rescued Lyka. He also did not return to the villa for a week just to take care of Lyka. He didn't think Chloe would end up like this.

"Chloe needs some rest. Maybe it's better if you leave---."

"You can go, Jason." he cut whatever Jason had to say. "I'll take care of her."

"It is now your responsibility to take care of her?" he turned to Jason when he heard his angry voice. "When did you worry about her? When did you ever care about Chloe!?"

"She's my wife!" he answered angrily. "Of course, I'll care---"

"When?" Jason asked then smirked like he was mocking him. "When did you ever consider Chloe as your wife?!"

Ryuchen stiffened because of what Jason said.

He was right, he did not consider her as his wife before. He let Lyka bully and do whatever she wants to Chloe. He also knows Lyka's plan on Chloe's car before the accident that causes Chloe's life. But he didn't care. But because he was now given the opportunity to do the right thing and now he knows everything. He will make everything right.

Ryuchen bowed his head in front of Jason. He doesn't need his pride. All he needs right now is his wife, Chloe.

"Please, Jason.... let me watch and take care of her even just for tonight." Ryuchen begged him.
