Chapter 47: Friends

"Luke, we need to go," Daniel called out as he knocked on the door. "Luke, I know you are in there and we need to go right now."

Dr. Hendricks and I looked at each and then back at the door. I wasn't looking forward to being alone with him, not after how tense things were between us. He hadn't called my name since I told him everything about the accident. I knew he needed time and so I gave him, then why was he showing up early knocking so loudly during my session.

"I think you should get that, I'm trying to listen to what you said about giving people space to process their trauma and pain," I said, nodding towards the door and leaning back on the couch. "Ask him why he is here this early when we still have," I looked at the clock behind Dr. Hendricks' chair, "thirty minutes left of our session."

Dr. Hendricks sighed as he closed the notebook and placed it on the chair as he stood up. "Just when we were getting to the good stuff," he said.
