1 A Whole New World To See

It was early in the morning, the sun had just started to rise.

Up on a certain hill, a sheepherder was out with his sheep, strolling them out for their morning feed. He stood there observing as the first rays of sunlight started to tickle the Cappadocian land, waking the lush green colors of the grass and the brownish-white tones of the mountains and stone constructs as he heard sounds coming out of one of the ancient air shafts of the man-made cave complex beneath him.

He wouldn't mind if it was in the middle of the day since there would be tourists venturing through the ancient caves every now and then, but at this time of the day, the caves were still closed and wouldn't open to the public for another five hours.

About fifteen meters away from the cylindrically shaped air shaft - which is a part of the tip - cracked, a human figure crawled up and out, landing with both of his feet on the ground.

The man exclaimed as he took a deep breath whilst looking up at the wide sky.

"Sheesh, finally some real fresh air! hahaha"

Meanwhile, the sheepherder had his butt glued to the ground. For the first few seconds, a thin layer of cold sweat appeared on his back, but he soon recovered as he saw a young man that seemed to be about twenty years old. He was just about to reprimand the aforementioned young one, but at this moment with a smile on his face the young man pushed one of his fingers against his lips signaling to stay silent, and then pointed towards the end of the hill.

Dumbfounded, the sheepherder looked towards the pointed direction as a gust of wind brought his attention back towards the young man, only to discover that he had vanished.

Two months ago the STAR Group started their own archeological research within the Cappadocian cave-complex and eventually stumbled upon a sealed off part that hadn't yet been discovered. Naturally, they were ecstatic, for a group that started as an open-access forum for researchers, authors, and editors, to eventually form an on-field research team was hard enough.

To actually be allowed to research the Cappadocian cave-complex was one thing, but to actually find something that seemingly no one had noticed before was another. What was even more unbelievable was that after removing the seal, another, exceedingly bigger cave-complex with intricate markings all over revealed itself in front of them. There, among vast amounts of treasures, they also found a young man of unknown origin.

This about twenty-year-old man - that laid still on a jade platform - seemed to be in some kind of comatose state, after a couple of failed attempts to wake him up they eventually ended up waking him with a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart.

Upon rising from his stupor and initial shock caused by the adrenaline, he maintained his calm and observed the scene and the people around him.

He was just wondering what all this buzzing equipment was and why all these grown men seemed to be extremely fragile and weak when one of the men approached him and started talking in a - to him - completely unrecognizable language.

"I don't speak whatever language you're speaking." He said, whilst realizing that he was not in his homeworld Tiamat but somewhere entirely else, since on Tiamat all people spoke but one language.

Likewise, the researchers were stunned, for a moment they thought that they had stumbled upon some kind of ancient human, but after checking all ancient languages, their searches bore no fruits.

In the course of the next month the young man, apparently named Tian, was taught the English language and by now had a basic understanding of the world he landed in.

Although they thought he was held captive he still "befriended" a researcher and supposed captivator called Mike.

Mike came all the way from Alaska to join this research team here in the Cappadocian planes of Turkey. Little did they know that Tian could leave whenever he felt like it, he simply thought that he could learn more in his former cave and now research facility, before blindly running into the unknown.

As two more weeks passed and Tian still hadn't really told them anything of substance, the STAR Group lost the rights to further research the findings due to the lack of substantial results. Mike informed Tian that he would soon be moved to a facility belonging to the Turkish government. Since this was the case it would be time for him to bail and venture the world. Putting all the treasures and resources that came with him into his storage ring, he left.

So began the aforementioned scene with the sheepherder. At first he would make his way towards Syria, then further to the east towards India and China. The mythological legends of those two areas in the world were most similar to the ones from his homeland on Tiamat. Not that it would really matter to him, but he thought it would be easier for him to settle there at first, before finding out why he was brought to this world and a way back to his own. Although his Mandarin or Cantonese was still meager, he wasn't one to abandon his friends and family simply because his closed cultivation somehow reincarnated him into a younger version of himself and brought him to Earth.

Of course, because of this, his cultivation had also reverted back to that of his younger days. All the way from the emperor realm stage four back to the second stage of the origin realm. Yet, he still considered himself lucky - with the way things are on Earth, as far as he knew - he would still be able to live free and unfeathered.

After finding some annoyance by the amount of manpower protecting the Syrian border he still got through their line of defense. Half-an-hour later and approximately seventy kilometers from the border his senses captured an explosion, gunshots, and cries from a small town nearby, eager to stretch a little he made his way there.

What he found was a scene of violence and gore, images of what seemed to be gunfights, open execution, and the beheading of civilians, adults and children alike. His spirit sense reached out and he could see what they were doing with the woman of this town underground.

He became enraged, they killed the men, beheaded their children in front of them and were raping their wives. At this point he had seen enough and started to get into action, helping these civilians that were vastly outmatched against those black clothed militants.

It took him merely thirty minutes to kill them all, freeing those that were left alive but also leaving them in the demise of their shattered homes and families. Just as brutal as these militants were, was he. The difference was that he beheaded them or tore them open with his bare hands. They could shoot at him as much as they wanted, weapons as lowly as these would not even scratch his qi barrier, much less hurt him.

Outside the town he continued his journey to the far east, stretching himself a bit and smiling, obviously feeling good about his little workout. Truly and fully venting all his anger was always the best for one's state of mind.
