Chasing Butterflies

I watch as the butterfly lands. Such beauty is found in a single one. I wonder how others see them. My world is peaceful and perfect until war breaks out in my hometown and other parts of Japan. I'm forced to go to China with my brother, his friend, and his friend's parents. I'm scared. I've never left Japan. I don't know what the outside world is like. I'm completely frightened by it. I hear a thought in my head. "Chase the butterflies," it tells me. I don't understand. In Japan, butterflies symbolize a stunning change. My brother tells me that in China, butterflies represent eternal love. He thinks that my true love is in China. Could I be really closer to my butterfly than I thought? Yua is taken away to China during the breakout of war in Japan. She and her brother escape aboard the ship of the royal family and are forced into pretending to be royalty for the rest of their lives. Yua is torn between her feelings for both princes. Who will she choose and what will be the consequences of her decisions?
