8 Chapter 8

The deep silent night became roaring pain for the man who searched for the person he deeply love. He drove non stop at that night.

Charles could only search few places he knew. He even ordered the trains, air flights and boats to stop her tracks, but somehow she managed to slip by. It was like she disappear from thin air.

Then a call disrupted his thoughts.

"Grandfather" he answered

"Stupid fool. Why are you chasing a low level..." he said, but he stopped his grandfather by saying stop it.

"Grandfather did you do this?" He asked outright with tone as if warning him to tell him the truth.

"You really gonna fight with me for that useless girl" his grandfather laughed and it went silent for a minute.

"That girl hates our family, Charles. She will never have the will to come to you" he warned him

"Tell me the reason. What did you do to her?"

"Its in the past that you can never repair" his grandfather hung up.

Days, weeks, months had passed. Everyday he would search every corner for her very existence. He did went to the rural town that she mentioned before but they were not her real family. Its the family who fostered her since losing her family. She did stop by saying good bye and left without saying where she would go.

Jeremy was searching as well. He did not know what exactly happen but he got a call from her "I now know why you left me. Its because of that evil man. I will only say be careful" she hung up before he called response.

"What did you learn?" Charles asked to the man who were sitting behind him.

"Base from my investigation, her real name is Samantha Anne Shang. The only daughter of the Shang corp president who went to kill himself in his office. She became a foster child at the age of 12. At the age of 15, her records were loss as if it was deliberate to be loss" the man calmly said as he flipped his newspaper.

"I have found some traces that somehow she attacked the Sung corp at the age of 17. She was sent to the juvenile jail. She attacked the former CEO. She claimed that he was the one who killed her father"

Charles went silent. "Thats for now. Did you manage to have her traces her whereabouts?" He asked.

"She is currently working at the bar at red light district" he said and slipped the picture of her working in a very tight skirt. There were men looking at her as if waiting for their prey.

"She leaves at the very dawn. She lives nearby her work place" he added and slipped the address.

"Sammy!" A short girl whined as she walked drunkly. She clung to her as they poured again another drink.

"Lily, what did he do this time?" Lily laughed

"You know me too well" she cried so loud.

Sam and Lily were drinking late at night on their off. She was little sober, but her friend wasn't. She was crying hard "Why is he doing this to me?" She cried, "I give up everything for him but he keeps cheating on me" she cried hard

"I love him so much" she wailed. Sam paused as she remembered someone. Her heart ached.

"I want to give up but I feel like suffocating if I do that"

"Lily its his fifth time" Sam said

"I think its about time you give yourself a chance to love yourself" she said as she pulled out the glass of beer.

"Am I not lovable enough, Sammy?"

"Its not you are not lovable, its him who cannot love you back" she said.

The long night continued. Sammy stopped drinking half way thinking she would be the one escorting her friend home. As they went home, a white van stopped in-front of them. Immediately black suit men came out. All head bowed down.

"Good day miss, Mr. Sung wants you to accompany him" the man said while his head bowed.

"I have a friend with me. Come to me next time" she said as she struggled to hold her friend

The men pulled her friend away from her

"We will escort your friend, miss" he said

"I don't trust you" she said outright

"How about me?" She froze

It had been 6months that she heard that voice. It was the same voice who pulled her out from her misery.

She turned around. The man she saw was a man who looked so sad.

His face was thin. He was rather rough on the edge. She could see beard starting.

She cried. She slowly approached him and she caressed his face.

Her heart was breaking as she had begun remembering her sorrows.

She stepped back. But this time, Charles was the one pulling her toward him.

He wrapped his arms around her.

He signaled his body guards to escort her friend away.

"Never again" he said, "I will not let you go away this time" he added
