1 Chapter 1

It was the start of the week. Everyone was rushing and hustling in and out to those huge buildings in their fancy tuck in suite. In one particular building, security guards standing in front of the building with their eyes straight out to those who were acting suspicious. Employees would not bother to say anything and would hurriedly go inside to avoid getting late. This place was famous around the city. It was the only place that everyone envied to work. Trio Corp. was the dream place to work at, a high paid work force, but it was also a place difficult to get in. The company was founded years ago, its owned by old money family. However, it went known for its present CEO. This young lad was beyond description of god-looking face, and body. He was epitome of someone to be ideal husband, rich and handsome. Not many had seen him. His subordinates actually feared him. He was strict and stern. Rules were implemented and they had to abide. No one could actually bring anything out of the company without getting fired and be quiet. They had to finish their work without any flaws, or they would not have any job left in the next day.

"Sir, the report about the Feng enterprises is already on top of your table, and I would like to remind you regarding the meeting this 3PM with Director Cheng" the CEO's secretary said as he was looking at his itinerary book. This secretary was a man. He had been working with this famous CEO ever since he started in the work force. He stood with grace and firm while waiting for his boss to respond to him. His boss on the other hand was sitting on his black chair while reading a piece of paper in front of him. He acted like he didn't hear his secretary. He paused and signed on the paper. He slipped the paper to the folder and handed those to his secretary. "Any problem with the proposal to be handed later?" He said with a tone that the secretary was familiar with.

"Not at all, Sir" the secretary immediately replied. His boss didn't say anything as if he was satisfied with the answer.

"Sir, miss Ling, the daughter of the Ling dynasty Corp asked if you have time to join her for dinner"

His boss face looked displease. "Sir?" he was cautious. He knew that his boss was not fond of women trying to get his attention. Every often, the daughter's of some rich families would try without fear. "Tell her, I have no time with her" his boss finally answered. The secretary was in predicament. He knew this young miss from the Ling dynasty; she had an ego like his boss. Both didn't know how to accept no for an answer. However, it was his job to follow what his boss wants, and his boss did not want her to bug him. He was about to leave when his boss called, "Jeremy, get me another phone. The type is not that expensive." His boss paused as he noticed the boards across the window office. "Maybe the same phone on those boards" his boss added. He pointed to the billboards through the window. Jeremy looked at it and could say something, but he held it in. Those phones were design for lovers having the same design and to promote it they even had initials to those lovers if requested.

Jeremy paused. He was bewildered to his boss behavior. First, his boss had two phones, one for all work and one for personal. Jeremy had his boss work phone, and he could answer and use that phone on his judgement. However, his boss' personal phone was for his boss eyes and hands only. It rung rarely, but his boss did use it. Jeremy tried as much will power not to be curious on his boss personal affair. It could lead to detrimental consequences that Jeremy could not afford to have.

Jeremy was curious, but he held it in. He knew his boss could catch his prying if he asked. "Do I have to put it under someone's name?"he asked. "No need" his boss answered without care. Jeremy paused. He was debating to ask for more information, but his boss kicked him out of the room before he could have tried prying.

Jeremy stepped out of the room. He tried to compose himself and pushed his curiosity back of his head. He carried on his work, and started to call the daughter of the Ling's. He called and tried to ready himself not to overwhelmed with fear. However, as he was engrossed with the call, he didn't notice a petite woman with thick blue glasses. He accidentally knocked her over. He was surprised when he saw the woman on the floor and trying to pick her glasses. "Yes, I will relay it to Mr. Sung, young miss" he said before he ended the call. He placed his phone away and looked at the woman who was already on her feet and trying to fix her dress. "I am sorry. I did not notice you as I was on the phone" he explained. The woman looked down and did not even try looking at him as he noticed that she was tense. "Its ok sir Jeremy. I am at fault as well not seeing my way" she said before running off. He was puzzled as he looked her retreating back. He set aside his bewilderment and continued to do his job.

Jeremy had acquired the phone which was requested earlier by his boss. The moment he handed the phone to his boss, he saw his boss smile which caught him by surprise. Mr. Sung, the CEO of Trio Corp, had never smile in his entire time under him except when his boss managed to get the project 100% success. Moreover, his boss had this particular smile he never could imagine showing.

"You did well. You can leave early" his boss said. Jeremy was put again off guard. His boss, for the first time, let him go early. Nevertheless, he did not waste any more time and left before his boss could retract his orders. He bowed and bid his goodbye.

Jeremy strode out of the lift as he noticed a petite girl outside of the office. He felt familiar of this woman who has her back faced him. He noticed her fidgeting as she waited in front of the elevator. Her outfit was dull and less impressive unlike any ladies who were working in the building. She was as if trying to set attention away from her, but to Jeremy it caused an opposite effect. Jeremy had been working in this prestigious company and he was used to people look expensive to impress. He stood beside her quietly. The woman didn't notice her at all. Jeremy looked closely at her. The woman was wearing a plain office dress with a white blouse and a black pencil-shaped skirt. Her figured was not emphasized as the clothes were a little bigger for her. Her thick glasses made it worst as it did not blend with her suite. The thick frame made her look like a typical nerd asking to be bully. Her hair was a little disheveled, it might be for her running around the office earlier. She gave a deep sighed as if trying to find relief that it was time to go home. Jeremy could not stop himself, "You should ask the HR for uniform subsidiary. Your uniform is not presentable in the office"

The woman froze in spot. She looked at him with wide eyes. She was surprised to be standing beside him. She tried to compose himself. She stepped back and was trying to get enough space. Jeremy did not mind it. "You are working in a well-known enterprise. Your outfit doesn't fit here" he added.

"Which department are you? Did your manager spoke with you with that" he inquired more. The woman could not utter a word. She was trying to decipher what he was trying to do. "As I said earlier, you should go to the HR for uniform subsidiary. They can help you with your uniform problem" he walked in to the elevator when it opened. The woman did not go in, as if she was rooted to the floor. Jeremy on the other hand did not wait for her, he let the elevator closed and went down. The woman did not realize that she was already breathing heavily. She was going panic attack as she felt the man was still near her. She strode back and went away and hid.

She struggled to the far away bathroom that people rarely used. She could not stop seeing the man's face. Eventually, memories came as if haunting her. She did not even notice she was already crying. "Sam, you told yourself to forget" she mumbled. She staggered as she tried to support along the walls. "He did not recognize you. You change. You are not the same as before" she kept repeating it as if convincing herself. "He is not part of you anymore" she thought as she slide down to the floor when she managed to enter the bathroom stall. She sobbed and cried nonstop.
