19 Chapter 19

the call rang to the entire house endlessly. Sam was fast asleep as Charles had already been disturbed. It was deep in the night that he had to dragged himself out of the bed.

"Hello.." his voiced echoed thru the silent night.

Sam woke up. She found an empty space beside her. She caressed the bed. it was cold. She slowly sat up and looked around.

"charles"she called out. She slowly went out and found Charles at the end of the corridor. He was stiff. "Charles?" she called out, "What is wrong?" she added.

she tried to hold his shoulder but he evaded and faced her with an expressionless face.

"My son died" he said. Sam paused and pondered.

"She was too weak to walk around and she ended to roll down to the stairs"

Sam immediately knew then. She slapped him.

"You blame me? I have coop up inside this mansion waiting for you. I never ever go near your woman..."

"If you just allow me.."he interrupted

"Allow you what?" she intercepted with strong emotion. Her tears flowed down.

"do you even have felt being betrayed?" she asked as she looked away as she tried to control her tears.

"Do you know how painful it is for me to see that every image of you sleeping with her?" she added.

"why is it my fault? why are you blaming me for being selfish for once?!" she added as she could not control anymore the hate and hurt intertwined within her.

Charles did not say anything. he started to walk away from her,

"Charles. once you leave me, I will never come back" she said.

Charles walked off.

Sam collapsed to the ground as she continued to cry her soul out. She really tried to open her heart to him despite being hurt. But what was more painful that he blamed her for the circumstances that she could not control.

Was it so wrong to be selfish?

she did ran off to be selfless to them. but he captured her in this ending hate.

She cried endlessly
