18 Chapter 18

"Clara, please eat dear.." Clara's mother said as she placed the food beside the bed. She sat dawn and petted her head. She could hear her sobs. It had been almost a month that her baby girl lock herself inside her room. She would sometimes eat but she would always end up inside her room. Her bright cheerful little girl had gone into despair and she had wished she could do something.

"The baby will get hungry, baby" she cooed. She pulled the blanket to hid her face. She was disheveled.

"He did not come?" she asked with trembled voice.

Her mother did not say anything. she knew that Charles did not show up. he had been cutting his ties with her. But sometimes he would send her message to take good care of their child. She would try to get up and eat for his sake. but no appearance of his. She did try to ask him. but he would not reply then. A simple good night would be sent to her.

"Baby, be strong please" her mother said as she kissed her forehead.

The empty feeling was eating her. the amount of joy she received when she found out she was pregnant with his child, was the same amount of despair she was feeling today.

She hardy want to move.

She went out from her room and slowly went down. But because of her hunger, she lost consciousness briefly and rolled down to the stairs.

She heard loud scream as she totally lost consciousness.
