13 CHAPTER 13

It had been a week since we were married. My grandfather was furious when he found out but he knew me too well how stubborn I could be. I was inside my office doing my work while Sam was nowhere near me. I did try to bring her along so she could see I was not doing anything like before. But she was adamant to go out and be alone.

I knew it was all about the fact I registered our marriage without her consent.

I could not let her be alone anymore.

Sam was mine and I would not let anyone take her away. She was all I got.

We had an argument earlier because she would not tell me her reason for not coming with me. I did offer to bring along the bodyguards. Afterall, she was now THE MRS. SUNG. But she told me if I insisted for a bodyguards to follow her, she would go far away. Everyone might think I was being control, but that thought was not important. What was important, she would remain by my side where I could reach her.

I compromised. but little did she know, I let Shasha accompany her. Shasha was one of my trusted bodyguard. but she rarely wear tux. She looked like a secretary rather than a bodyguard which was perfect.

Shasha just texted me that my wife was just sitting on a coffee shop. She was more relax rather when she accompanied me. Shasha took a picture without her knowledge.

I could not help myself smile.

"Keep it up, do not let her know" I texted her. I knew Shasha would immediately erase any remnants of our conversation. She was the best bodyguard.

"Shasha, you have been working with Charles since when?" Samantha asked.

"Hmm.." Shasha was playing a goofy secretary, "Well, I think it is almost a year. But of course, I did not landed this job immediately. I started being boss around till I manage to be bossing around to them" she laughed out.

Sam could not help herself to smile.

"You know what, I want to work far from here. Where no one can actually know me"

Shasha laughed, "that is quite a hassle dont you think?" she said

"YOU are afterall the mrs. Sung. your husband was once the richest bachelor in the world. Ladies from prestigious family would always come to the office to hopefully catch him" She explained, "I will tell you, its a nasty fight between those ladies. they were not hastily grab each other's hair but they were scheming secretly to each other to outwit each other" she added.

"That maybe true, I just hope this quite life settles. I could not imagine myself in this position. I did thought of getting married and have a happy small family" she paused,

"But being the wife of that man, its unimaginable" she added

Sasha smiled. She was a loyal employee of the Sung family. and she was glad that the missis was indeed a good woman.

"Madame," called out as Sam suddenly got up and went to the comfort room.

She followed her and could hear her vomiting.

"Its a nasty stomach upset" she said when she knew Sasha followed.

"Does the boss knew you were sick?" she was cautious.

"No" a simple statement from her

"We should go to the hospital to be sure, madame" she said

the cubicle opened and Sam was already fixing herself up. She shook her head with a smile, "No need. its not that bad" she said and went to the wash area.

At home, Charles came late. He brought along a hot congee. He knew she was sick but he must act like he didn't. He entered the house like always. Then, he did not saw her. He thought she might be at study room. She liked to take a nap there. He went and there he saw sound a sleep while holding a book on her chair. He smiled.

He slowly pulled the book away and making sure she would not be awake. He went to a drawer where he placed a thin blanket.

He kept it there for her.

"Please come back to me" he whispered and kissed her forehead.
