MY HOUSE

"What if we'll just go by my car and I'll send you back here after? If that's okay with you." Travis spoke to her while half of his attention was around them for security. He can't allow anyone to cause harm to her.

Jillyanna nudged his waist using her elbow with a deathly glare. "Just make sure you send me home. Remember, we aren't officially in a relationship."

"Yes ma'am. I know. I won't be fooling around." Travis responded with mischief towards her but he was actually serious with his words. If he said no, he would abide it for her even if he wanted to break it, he won't. For her sake.

He led Jillyanna towards the passenger's seat and jogged his way towards the driver seat after making sure that no one can attack her.

Jillyanna fastened her seatbelt and rummaged her bag for her phone. She sent a message to Cielo that she's going somewhere for a while to relax a little.

Travis drove the car out from the city for almost half an hour before they reached a suburb with much fresher air.

When the car stopped, Jillyanna got down from the car, inhaling the fresh air, cooling her lungs.

"This is amazing! I like it here." she mumbled with arms wide open, trying to take in so much air as she could.

Travis watched her for a while with a smile on his lips. He took out a thick shawl and approached her. He put on the shawl around her neck to keep her warm.

Jillyanna was startled at first and had her guard up against him. "That's to keep you warm. What if you catch a cold?" Travis whispered upon sensing an alert mode from her.

"Thank you." she whispered back, burying her face on the shawl to hide her blush. Aside from Lucian and Cielo's family, no one really showed kindness to her after her mother's death. Still, she felt that Travis must be doing it for show.

"Let me show you the backyard. I am sure you'll like it, too." Travis didn't hold her hand but he walked on the same pace as her.

"Where are we by the way?" Jillyanna asked while looking around the area.

There's a two storey house where they parked the car in front of it because there was no garage for the car. There were vines climbing on the walls with so many flowers. It was magical. The flowers and trees gave it a fantasy vibe.

"This is my place. Well, I am renting the place." Travis scratched his head awkwardly. "It's not expensive since it's quite some distance from the city."

"I see. Well, you got a good deal here." she responded as she observed the place. When they reached the back yard, Jillyanna was stunned with the view.

"You like it?" Travis spoke though it was clear from her reaction that she likes the place.

"I love this. Oh my god! This is amazing! Really amazing! The owner of this place got a nice view and the place was constructed beautifully. Wow!" she couldn't help but blabber on him.

"I'm glad you like it." Travis rubbed her head with glee. It wasn't just Jillyanna who was shocked at his actions, Travis as well. He just acted without really thinking. "I'm sorry I messed up your hair." He combed her hair instead using his fingers.

"It's okay." Jillyanna whispered softly. She felt sleepy now that his fingers touched her scalp gently. It was like a massage for her. "Ah! Stop massaging my head!"Jillyanna snapped at him which made Travis thought she was upset before the next words rang to his ears, "You're making me sleepy. How can I enjoy the view now?"

Travis chuckled and stopped combing her hair. They stood side by side in silence while enjoying the view of the city lights. You could even see the sea with some ships littered on it.

"I've always like this kind of place. It gives me comfort and helped me relax myself. Thank you for bringing me here." Jillyanna spoke before showing him her brightest smile. Whenever she smiles genuinely, her eyes would be smiling too.

Travis pulled out something from his pocket, took her hand and placed it on her palm. It was a set of keys.

"What's this for?" she already had an idea of what he was thinking but she wanted to know directly from him.

"If you feel sad or if you just want to see this view, you can visit this place anytime you want. This key is for the main entrance and this key is for the room with that balcony." He was pointing the room above them which has a balcony overlooking the view.

"Aren't you afraid I would rob you off?" she asked him with a raised brow.

"What can a rich woman get from me? There's nothing you can rob inside. You can rob my heart if you want." he responded with wide grin on his face, his finger was pointing at his chest.

"Oh shut up! Two months. We promised." she rolled her eyes at him.

"Yes ma'am. We'll decide after two months."

"But I can't really accept these keys. We are in the process of getting to know each other. It isn't right for me to enter your house." she placed the keys back on his hand.

"Isn't it part of getting to know each other? You would know what kind of person I am base on the place I'm living, right?" Travis put it back on her hand. They were basically tossing the keys back and forth between them.

"You got a point." Jillyanna nodded her head before pocketing the keys.

"Of course. I need to be intelligent to pursue an intelligent woman like you." Travis put his hand on his pocket.

"Stop praising yourself." Jillyanna retorted but she had a smile on her face.

"Would you like me to praise you instead?"

"Cut it out."

"You're very beautiful tonight." Travis stated while looking at her face.

Jillyanna was so embarrassed she wanted to dig a hole and bury herself. "Do you want a fight?" she acted mad to hide her blush from him.

"We're not officially in a relationship but we'd fight already?" Travis teased her again seeing how red her face was.

Jillyanna could only face-palmed herself. Travis had ways to retort her statements but she didn't hate him. She had fun with their conversation instead.

Travis didn't probe her of any personal questions. He would wait for her to open up to him. In any case, he's got two months to spend time with her.

"I have to go back. I still have things to prepare for tomorrow's work." she spoke to him but her eyes were still on the view in front of her. Sad to say, she had to go home and leave the view behind her.

"I'll send you back. Let's go?" Travis reached out his hand to her. And because she was still thinking of the view and the house, she didn't mind placing her hand on his. They walked back to the front of the house where the car was parked.

"You can always go back here, you know." Travis stated when she was still down even after reaching the car.

"I will impose on you then. Thanks a lot." Jillyanna smiled and fasten her seatbelt. She would certainly go back when he's not around.
