52 CONVERSATION WITH LUCIAN

Travis got inside back to his car with Lucian. With a gloves on his hands, Lucian opened Jillyanna's phone to see if there's any messages or anything that they can use as a clue.

"I never thought her contact list would be this few." Valkyrie stated who was watching them from the backseat.

Lucian just smiled before opening her social media accounts and skimmed through her inbox again. "Wait!" Valkyrie reached out his hands and stopped Lucian from scrolling.

Travis threw a questioning gaze on him which made Valkyrie smiled awkwardly.

"I just saw something. I have been following an Internet idol and I thought that the posts on this account look like hers." Valkyrie scratched the tip of his nose before sitting back.

Travis didn't even show a change of expression while listening. He said, "Be good or someone might kick you out." Which he meant was Brown who was scowling at the backseat just beside Valkyrie.

Lucian looked at Valkyrie before showing the content directly at him. "Is this the goddess you mentioned?" On the screen was a picture of YNA exposing half of face. She was wearing a black mask with feathers and silver glitters on it which covered half of her face, showing only her sexy red lips.

Valkyrie's eyes were wide open. "You must be kidding me! This is her account? Not a fan's account?"

"It's up to you to believe it or not. Anyway, let's finish this up." Lucian logged off and opened another social media account. Valkyrie was still in a daze but he didn't believe him completely.

He opened all her accounts in front of them but it was fruitless. There were no clues that they can use at all.

"I'm bothered with something." Travis spoke in a low but serious tone. Lucian looked up with a raised eyebrow to question him before Travis continued. "Why do you know all her accounts? Why do you have her passwords?"

"Oh this? Don't be jealous." Lucian chuckled before putting the phone back to a sealed plastic bag.

"I am not jealous." Travis denied which earned another faint laughter from Lucian and Valkyrie.

"When she was still in college, she received several messages from people she didn't know. Some were jealous girls who wanted her to stay away from their boy friends but she never had any close friends aside from me and Cielo. There were some other people who would check her social media accounts and would send her nasty pictures and rude messages. Cielo was so worried that she made a report to my dad. To avoid worrying us, she gave us all her account and passwords." Lucian shared to them which made Travis even more jealous. His eyes were dark and his face was expressionless. There's no way for anyone to tell what he was thinking or what he was feeling at that moment.

"Isn't that invading her privacy?" Brown retorted, something Travis wanted to ask, but he didn't want to offend the man who's most likely a family to Jillyanna,so he kept quiet. He was really thankful to Brown.

Lucian was in charge of driving the car back to the office but for some reason, something was telling him to drive to the next town. He turned on the car before answering Brown's question.

"We once told her that there's no need to give us her password but she insisted. She didn't mind us opening her social media account if it's the only way to stop worrying about her. But my wife would never stop worrying that's why we installed a different tracking device on her phone."

Travis was just listening on the sideline while Brown and Valkyrie asked the questions for him. Such good friends! That's what Lucian thought about the two men with them.

"Did you grow up with the two girls?" Valkyrie asked while giving Travis a glance.

Lucian didn't mind answering them since the man beside him would probably become a family soon. "I grew up with Cielo since I was young. Jillyanna and Cielo are of the same age."

"They're twins?" Brown inquired with disbelief. "They don't look identical at all."

Lucian laughed while driving. He even looked at Travis for a second before answering. "They are not twins at all. Jillyanna was brought home by Uncle and Auntie on Cielo's 13th birthday. Her story isn't something for me to tell so I can only share this information to you."

"Why didn't she tell Travis that she's pregnant?" This question made everyone become silent. Valkyrie didn't mean to throw such question but he was really curious as to 'why?'

Lucian had her eyes focused on the road while thinking how to answer the question without hurting the man's pride. He's a man, too and he has pride as well.

"Jillyanna doesn't like relying to anyone and she didn't like getting herself into a relationship. I believe she told you about this."

"She did." Travis responded. He remembered the times Jillyanna put emphasis to the point where she didn't want to get into a relationship and that pierced his heart. "Why did she give me a chance if she didn't want to?"

"Do you really want me to answer that question?" Lucian retorted back at him.

"She doesn't keep any secrets from you?" Brown asked.

"She doesn't keep any secrets from us. All her silly ideas were known to us all. Her future plans were all discussed to us. Even her death."

"What do you mean?" Valkyrie was the one asking this time.

"Many people were eyeing for her riches." Lucian answered shortly.

"Oh."

"Oh."

Brown and Valkyrie made an 'oh' sound while nodding their heads. 'Travis will really have a hard time with her. She can't be fooled with money." That's what they thought.

"Do you really like my little sister?" Lucian asked Travis before parking the car in front of a convenience store.

"I like her. I am interested in her. I want her to be with me forever." Travis answered honestly. Even if they thought he was being corny, they couldn't deny the look of sincerity in his eyes.

Lucian sighed before speaking. "She's not a relative by blood but we all cared for like a real family. She had been hurt so badly in the past which made her promised to never love again. We all wanted her to be happy and if you can do that we will give you all our support. However, if you hurt her, you will never see her again or your child. Not even a shadow."

"I will promise to treasure her." Travis stated with utmost sincerity.

"Well, this is just my part. It's still up to my sister if she's willing to be with you." Lucian spoke with a faint laughter. He didn't wait for Travis to respond, opened the car door and went out.

He looked around the area and saw a street address. A cold shiver ran down his spine when a thought sank in.

"This is the place that Jillyanna's mom visited often in the past! Shit! She's in grave danger! Fu**!"
