25 AMUSEMENT PARK 3

"It's nice to meet you, Jillyanna. I'm Diego, his best friend." Diego introduced himself while reaching out his hand for a handshake.

"It's nice meeting you, too. Please just ignore his nonsense." Jillyanna took his hand for a handshake but she still threw a glaring glance towards Travis.

Diego chuckled upon seeing her actions and he was already looking forward for his best friend's future.

"I won't disturb your date anymore because my sister would be looking for me if I would take so much time. I'll see you both next time." He waved his hand and ran away from them to buy food for his sister.

When he was out of their sight, Jillyanna had her hands on her waist and one of her eyebrows was raised. "Why the hell did you tell them I'm your future wife?" It wasn't just once but twice already.

"Aren't you?" Travis questioned her back.

"I am not. It's not going to happen." she turned her back on him to hide away her facial expressions.

"Why? I still have so much time for me to prove that I deserve a chance and after two months we can also talk about marriage. I am serious about this. I am not pursuing you because I'm having fun or that I just want to have a girlfriend. I decided to pursue you with marriage in mind." Travis spoke softly but enough for her to hear and listen the words from his heart.

"I agreed, yes. However, the two months that I gave you still stand. Don't go telling people that I'm your future wife or whatnot. It would be ridiculous if that won't actually happen."

"Then why not make it happen? Don't you have a little bit of special feelings for me?" Travis couldn't help but blurt out what's on his mind. He wanted to take back his words but it was too late.

Jillyanna looked at him. No smile or any expression at all. She looked so cold and even her words were coated with ice.

"I don't. I don't have any. I am not capable of feeling the emotions you were looking for. I have told you from the start that it's a waste of time." there was no hint of warmness in her eyes at all.

Travis was stunned with her answer. It never crossed his mind that she would hate him or that she won't feel anything for him at all. He was really confident that she would fall for him. Most women would flock around him but it was the first time that someone didn't like him.

"I still have a month or so to pursue you. Maybe you'd change your mind. I am really serious with you." Travis stated with all sincerity he could muster.

"Fine. Just tell me once you want to stop all these. You don't need to finish the whole two months." Jillyanna responded to him. She couldn't afford to fall in love and hurt herself over and over again.

She was once asked by a junior in her university before who was working as a school journalist. Jillyanna was one of the top achievers in school and many people wanted to know what kind of life she has.

The journalist asked her about her study habits that could help students and some beauty tips for ladies since she was also the No. 1 Campus Beauty for three consecutive years until she graduated.

Aside from trivial questions, many people wanted to know how she's doing with her love life. The journalist once asked her, "Have you fallen in love?"

Jillyanna wanted to lie to her but she also realized that there's nothing wrong to answer the question honestly. Anyway, they didn't know who the guy was.

"I did. I was stupid and young back then." she answered the question with an expressionless face.

Cielo and Lucian who was watching her from the opposite table were also shocked. They didn't know about it.

"I believe it wasn't a good relationship?" the journalist probed her which made Jillyanna nod her head.

"It wasn't really a relationship. More like a one-sided love. Though he knew about it for a long time. That doesn't matter anymore now. We haven't seen each other for a very long time." Jillyanna responded with a confident smile this time.

"So Ms. Madrid, what's love for you?"

Jillyanna paused for a while to think of an answer. "Love for me? When I was young, when I first liked someone, I thought love was boundless. It can't be measured with anything. You can't base your love with the person's status, look or intelligence. That's what I thought. But now? For me, love is a waste of time. It's a pain in the ass. It's frustrating. It's depressing and it's not helpful at all. It will only cause a disturbance in your life!"

The journalist faced her with a surprised expression. She didn't expect to get a strong negative emotions towards love. Most people will go for romantic kind of words, atmosphere and vibe, but the woman that was being interviewed didn't regard it that way.

Jillyanna also noticed that the journalist was shocked with her answer so she tried to set things on the right track.

"That's what I think now. Who knows in the future I might change my mind? Just don't expect it to be so soon." Jillyanna added with a chuckle before arranging her things.

"Thank you so much Ms. Madrid. I wish that you'll find your true love as well." the journalist bowed before keeping the recorder and left.

Not long after, Lucian, Cielo and Jillyanna also went home. They didn't ask her who the person she once liked. They would wait for her to tell them personally which never happened until now.

Jillyanna's mind returned to present and she decided to keep quiet. Travis didn't bother her as well. He can take one step at a time towards her until she would learn how to love him. That's his goal within the remaining one month and few days.
