46 Chapter 46: Family reunion

Relieved, she answered again.

"Sniff Sniff, mommy, brother Blinky has emailed me to say you're not being a loving mother, his existence is still compressed in the suitcase. Mommy Blinky needs to stretch, please help him! Sniff Sniff!"

Rolling on the floor from laughter, Raven opened the email, used a file decompression software to open Blinky's attachment and allowed him to expand in her phone.

Her screen showed an animation of a suitcase, opening slightly, and one by one, slowly little purple tentacles stretched out, until

"Thank you, lady mommy, for allowing me out. I can see we don't have the usual set up here, I will make arrangements for our family holiday. Uncle Mr. Executive Assistant Dominic has sent instructions on your preferred set up. "

She hadn't spoken to Blinky before she left, after she discovered they now had a family relationship. She knew the two baby AIs were now brothers and called her mommy, but she did not expect to be called lady mommy, and what was Uncle Mr. Executive Assistant Dominic?! Blinky had always been quite pompous, embracing their royal affiliation, but this was beyond her imagination. He would give any royal a run for their money on proper etiquette.

Trying to stifle her laugh before she could be reduced to tears, a bone deep tiredness took over. Even though it seems to have been erased from this realm, the events of tonight were still very fresh in her mind and her body was feeling the straining of what she experienced;

she couldn't help a yawn.

"Madam, you seem tired, please rest and don't worry we will make all arrangements. Seeing as we can communicate via messages and emails as well, we will keep you updated with our progress here and help Blinky with your set up over there."

"Yes Lady Mommy" Blinky immediately jumped in the conversation, "please do not worry, leave it all to me. This family vacation will be planned to perfection!"

He did a little pirouette on the screen, his little purple tentacles swooshing in the air, then bowing deeply, which looked very silly with his large eyes blinking very fast.

He was programmed like that, for Raven to be able to identify when he was multi-tasking. It was Blinky's failsafe as well, if he was working on multiple tasks and he got overwhelmed, he would stop blinking. Raven would know then to cut in and help him.

"Thank you all, I really appreciate your help and I'm very happy to have our little family.

Dominic, please help Blinky take the reins on Orchid's finances here, I need a report on where we stand and what this deal with Lanhua is. Please also monitor the plot changes in the book on your side and compare with where we are now on this side. I don't want to be caught unprepared."

Dominic's kind smile showed on her screen, and she felt like she could now have a peaceful sleep. Tomorrow she will conquer this world too, and then soon be able to start her research.

Without wasting another breath, she got out of her travel clothes, not very far from her usual style in fact, put on one of the hotel's fluffy bathrobes and sunk in the fluffy bed. As soon as her head touched the pillow she was out like a light.

Blinky whispered in the darkness "Lady Mommy is very tired Uncle Mr. Executive Assistant Dominic, should I order her breakfast?"

Dominic hummed with approval and the call disconnected.

Raven somehow heard this exchange and fell back asleep with a smile on her lips.

In her home in Dublin Maeve was staring at the pages in front of her in astonishment. "Liam, she broke through! Just how powerful is she?!"

Liam was watching Maeve with an unconcerned look on his face. "We knew this wasn't going to be easy love, but look, she's still staying. That has to be a good sign."

He wasn't really worried. The girl had decided to stay on and help the man. No matter how much she claimed it was for research, he was sure she felt the pull of this world, and more importantly the pull of the man whose life was now dependent on her.

One floor below Raven's suite, a handsome man in his thirties, dressed in casual home wear, was entering the second hotel suite. He had attracted quite a lot of attention when he arrived, his appearance causing several women in the lobby to lose their composure. He was always aware of the effect he had on the fairer sex, but he wasn't interested. They always stared, looking him up and down. He knew they were staring at his slim but broad frame and their eyes always rested on his face, looking to make eye contact and hoping he would approach them. This world's women held no appeal to him, except for one, who wasn't even part of this world really.

'Raven where did you go?' Rene was contemplating the events of tonight. He had decided to check in to a hotel for the night, after his house was partially destroyed by the woman who now occupied all of his thoughts.

Every move he made with her seemed to be a mistake. He was behaving like a teenager, losing all sense of composure around her. He knew he wasn't really attracted to her physique, because that wasn't hers, but those eyes, the way she would occasionally say his name…Thinking about the sound of his name on her lips was his undoing. He wanted her so badly he was willing to take whatever pieces of her she would give him. He could not explain what it was that made him want to chase this woman until she was his, but tonight had cemented that conviction. She had unknowingly tried to take care of him and then nearly put a bullet in his head. Life would her would be such a rollercoaster and he could not wait to get on this ride.

As soon as the word popped into his mind his imagination started to take a wild turn. He wasn't thinking of her body as much as what her reactions would be if he were to have her. Would she be wild and passionate with him?

He didn't care how many others might've been there before him, it was perfectly normal, but a fire lit up in his heart, he wanted to be her last, for the rest of his life.

Rene needed to take a cold shower to calm his raging desire and raging something else… before going to bed.

He got into his hotel suite, made a call to reception for breakfast and was ready to take a shower when his phone started ringing.

He looked at the caller ID and got excited; Liehen was calling him. He calmed down, checked his voice was not sounding hoarse and full of desire and answered the call.

As soon as he heard the other person he felt like someone poured an ice water bucket all over him.

"P-President Li, I'm sorry to disturb you sir " the voice on the other end said. He was livid. She had left, again.

He couldn't help the anger in his tone " What is is Miss Jisuanji, please speak fast." He realised what he had done and felt bad. It wasn't the woman's fault he was in a bad mood.

"I'm sorry Miss Jisuanji, it's been a long day. Can we have this conversation tomorrow?"

"I'm sorry sir I'm afraid it cannot wait. Her Highness, Miss Orchid Wagner has arrived, I've just dropped her off and she checked in at her hotel. She has asked that I maintain confidentiality and not speak of her arrival, but I thought it best to inform you."
