30 Teachings

After the ritual ended the elves from the tribe were staring at the scene with empty eyes. They grew so desperate after some decades that they forgot the old teachings. Their Lord looked rather foolish before this little girl. She was so young yet she possessed centuries long knowledge. The priestesses in their tribe are a joke if they don't even have the power to get some of the teaching from the ghosts from the past or even the Gods. It's as if they were left there to slowly die for them to be left forgotten. After the pair that just did some ritual they cheered even not knowing in the end what happened.

"You use this as marriage." The little woman started talking. "With this you can connect your lifespan with your beloved ones. The thing is that the Gods are the ones that choose which of the life spines you are going to be connected to. It's not wise to do this with someone other that isn't your mate so be careful." That was all she said. Her long white hair was shining in the sun beautifully for them making them feel that she must be some goddess.

Nefertiri started to teach them about the mates connection feeling at ease talking to them embracing her loved one. She was happy that this tribe wanted to learn and she didn't have to make it through kids or the Lord. She's here to teach them how harsh it could be and she's going to show them reality when you don't posses any of the teaching as a priestess.

"Today I was just severing a marriage that shouldn't even exist but because of it I have my husband so something good happened from something that shouldn't even happen. We have mates. We should wait for them even when they die they are going to come back to us. The important part is to have fate."

Nefertiri looked at the tribe and seeing hope in their eyes she felt better. Her eyes locked with the Lords and she showed him how unhappy she was with him. How is it possible that he didn't know a thing. In his young days he should have had learned something from the old Lord and if he didn't have the time he could ask for some chronicles. It's not his fault that everyone that served the tribe went for the eternal sleep with the Lord. She made sure that he knew that he needs to follow her and without looking if he's going she went to the palace. It was the time of change and adapt to the old teaching and she's going to be sure that everything is going to work.

She sat on the throne as if she owned the place not feeling bothered with the looks that she got from the elves that were there and even the Lord didn't move her from the position.

"I'm waiting." She said. The young Lord didn't know what to think. What is she waiting for. "I need to know why did you let the elves to experiment with the humans. Why didn't you look for help if you weren't ready for your position the list goes on."

"I guess that the oldest people in the tribe wanted to help me or so I though. When I was shoved on this position I was still considered a teenager in human years and a kid in elves years. I didn't really think about others at that age I let everybody do what they wanted. Being sixteen and wanting to just have fun is what made this situation and that everyone from my fathers age went for eternal sleep with him."

Nefertiri ignored that he was young taking over she is going herself.

"Imagine That when I awakened I was just a kid who lost her grandmother my parents long gone. At the age of twelve everyone though of me as a monster and the Lord wasn't even scared if I wanted to take over. Being a teenager without parents and the whole tribe hating you is different in many levels. But I didn't do anything to change it. They wouldn't hear me out even if I wanted. Being a priestess since birth is weird but I guess you don't think like that when you grow up with it. No one likes the truth so there are thing that I never said. Being young and vulnerable doesn't mean that's ok."

The Lord didn't think that she had it worse than him but he didn't live her life and she didn't live his life.

"I just want to say everyone has their struggles and we need to be stronger with each difficulty in our way."

"I understand it now."

"Good. So I'm taking over till I think you are ready and I train the priestesses. Believe me this is going to be fun with those old farts getting white hair when I'm going to ruin their plans."
