"Noo...It must be the temperature."

Alisha furrowed her eyebrows, she observed that the aircon was already at the lowest temperature and still Esther felt hot.

She put her hand on Esther's forehead then she put it on hers to check if she got the fever or not.

"Your temperature is normal yet your whole face is as red as beetroot. Tell me, are you having any dirty thoughts? Hmm…" Alisha mischievously poked Esther's waist. Esther swore her friends were the most perverted girls she had ever met.

Alisha's intervention had made Esther forget about the stranger she spent her night with.

"Guys~~ Save your chits chats for later. I need help here?" Viviana's yelling broke their short moment.

They swirled their heads in her direction. They saw her head poking out through the tiny gap of the door.

"Ohh so our wild cat is feeling cold now?" Esther said once after she saw Viviana cluttering her teeth. She would have loved to laugh at her but she was not that heartless girl they portrayed her to be. Instead, Esther went to her and yanked off the door and saw her friend, Viviana, trembling like a leaf in a storm.

Viviana growled at her, "Seth!! What the heck? Why did you?"

"Why did I do what? Young lady, try to finish your words. I am not a mind reader." She flicked her forehead.

"Yo...u...kn...ow..that…I….ca..n..no..t...stan..d...cold….st...still…."

She said through her gritted teeth. Esther pretended as if she didn't hear her and stayed in the same position.

"Sh**! Why are you so clever? I can't make a fool out of you." She quitted her act and even untied her robe a little more.

While Alisha had raised the temperature a few Celsius degrees. She placed the bag on the bed and looked at the interior of the room.

The room was way too large than her previous one. It had basic colours like white, black, grey as a decoration. In the middle, a queen-size bed. It had black sheets at the top of the bed. There were four big pillows with white covers. On the right side, were two enormous cupboards attached to the wall. Just next to the bed, on the same right-side was a big mirror.

On the left side, there was the bathroom. She heard her friends bickering so she followed it with quick strides. She saw Viviana holding Esther's sleeves and swinging them from side to side. She saw the annoyance in Esther's eyes and the scorn on her face.

"Pretty please….Pleaseeeeeeeee…."

"No."

"You are the most beautiful, hot, kind, caring, good looking, attractive and I can still go on.."

"Then keep saying. I am not stopping you, rather I am telling you to continue with it."

"Seth!!! Don't tease me. Just this time. Pleaseeeeeeeeee…."

"Still a no."

Alisha couldn't catch their chat, "I wanna know too!! Tell me!! tell me!!" She chirped in between and clapped her hands in excitement. However, she was not welcomed by her two best friends.

"Ali, go away. I need to have a serious talk with her."

"Viv, you know. I won't budge. I have made my final decision and you know me more than I." Esther released her sleeves from her clasp.

Alisha was stooped at her blatant insult. Her mouth was left ajar. Turning, Esther came face to face with an open-mouthed Alisha.

Using her fingers, she closed her mouth.

"You are lucky. We are in a hotel with no flies if not then…." Esther tucked in her hands inside her fitted peach coloured pants.

While the two astounded friends remained there, "Did you notice?"

"Are you thinking the same as I?"

Alisha cheerfully asked Viviana.

Viviana walked near to her and since there was not any large height difference. They stared into each other's flickering eyes as they maintained their staring competition.

"Did you notice the flush on her face?"

"Did you see her reddened neck?"

"Oh Girl….I saw something more."

"Nope!! Seriously you saw it too?"

"Waaaaa… So my eyes were not betraying me."

"No Viv, it is what it is."

"OMG!!!!! THAT MEANS OUR FRIEND FINALLY DID IT."

"WHERE IS THAT BRAT!!! TAKE ME TO HIM!! HE MUST HAVE TAKEN MY WARNINGS FOR GRANTED!! I NEED TO TEACH HIM A LESSON."

An old woman's voice thundered in the quiet hallway of the hospital entrance. Even though it was impolite to shout inside the hospital premises yet none had the resilience to say anything to her.

Well, no one was would be stupid to go and invite the grim reaper to take away his soul to the darkest sights of hell, the home of evil.

Although they lived in a world backed by modern technology and its development. Nonetheless, the people feared and believed in their ancient history. Their faith and trust didn't dwindle which was the reason why these hospital employees and patients felt that the old woman was a reincarnated version of the Devil.

Her raging and menacing eyes filled with raw and bitter anger. Wherever her gaze landed, the hair on the back of those people's neck stood up and they felt the goosebumps on their skin.

Her powerful steps resonated with her authority, they displayed her sovereignty. While the people present in the hospital thought they were in a historical courtroom and she was the cruellest and cold-hearted Empress. With her oppressing aura, they felt the pressure rising with her each step. Some found it hard to breathe.

"MADAM!! PLEASE DON'T WALK TOO FAST!!"

A young man screamed like he was on the verge of death.

The people were shocked by another shriek. They saw the man running and trying to catch up with the old lady.

"Madam, please refrain from overdoing yourself. Boss would skin me alive if anything had to happen to you. I can see my dead body lying and no one showed for the funeral."

The man pleaded with the woman but he knew that his begging would go unheard.

'Why do I have to suffer from these situations? I didn't sign up for this!!' He didn't have any better option to release his frustration than talking with himself.

He thought to hold her arm and led her to their destination. Yet he was rewarded with a hit on his palm by her cane.

He took his hand back and saw the red mark formed due to the cane. He shook his hands before blew air on it. He surely could feel the water piling up in the corners of his eyes. He bit his lips to muffle his painful scream.

"ALEXANDRO WILSON!!! YOU WISH TO DIE SOON??"
