8 Race to the kitchen

Johnny had lifted his hand and pressed against the stone cover that hid the entrance to the stairs.

"So much planning and they couldn't build a different exit. He could hear movement right outside. It seemed like it wouldn't take long before they found the entrance.

He felt vibration on the stone slate, it seemed like some had removed a large piece of debris on top of it.

"Here we go." Johnny bursted forward like a lion.

"Hey, I found..." the young soldier was rapidly silenced. In front of him the stone platform he uncovered had opened and a boy had appeared from it. He tried to scream but he couldn't. He started dropping toward the ground. He tried moving but he couldn't control his body. The boy continued running and disappeared to the side. Next to him his headless body also dropped to the ground.

Wosh!

Johnny quickly prepared his knife, the barn was in ruins, he could see the remains of a horse trapped under the debris about 10 feet away.

"This bastards..."

Johnny new what to do, he had to make it to the kitchen as soon as he could. Hopefully the scape portal was still accessible.

Pew pew

A few lasers flew by his head

Johnny started beelining towards the house.

"Stop him!"

"Don't let him move forward"

"He is going toward that building!"

Johnny was moving fast, too fast. Laser beans where flying over his head, he was zig zagging across the field.

Suddenly a group of about teen soldiers dressed in their characteristic red and blue armor suits came out of the house and pointed their weapons towards him. Jhonny just kept moving forward, a stream of laser bolds came flying towards him.

A laser impacted his shoulder and bounced off, a light blue hue covered Johnny's body.

"Shoot the cannon" A thin man was looking at the field from a screen within the main cabin of a ship.

"Sir we have troops on the field" a woman sitting behind a control panel nervously muttered.

"NOW!" the mans looked at the woman with a menacing stare, his eyes seemed to be about to pop out of his head.

"Yes sir." The woman immediately proceeded to input a few commands of the screen in front of her.

Bzzzzz

Johnny's eyes went wide when he heard the frightening buzzing sound, on the corner of his eye he could see that one of the large metallic ships was now overing about 1000 feet from him. A bright light was accumulating on the front of the vessel.

"Shit!" Johnny quickly jumped to the side

Booooom!

In an instant Jhonny the was send flying 20 feet, in the air. He impacted the floor with a loud noise.

"Arrrgh!" Johnny's left arm was twisted in a weird way. The blue light that had previously covered his body flickered and a few sparks where coming from a device on his waist.

bzzz bzzz bzzz pufff

Johnny quickly took the small device about the size of a small cellphone and threw it to the side.

On the ship the eyes of the whole crew on the cabin where looking at the screen. On the field there was a large crater about 30 feet across. Next to it and still on the floor the young man now seemed different, his clothes where shredded but what had them all watching was his complexion. Where previously stood a young teenage boy with light eyes not they could see humanoid with long pointy ears and big eyes. Under the ruined clothes a dark body suit was visible.

"Shoot again!" Said the thin man in front of the big screen. Everyone else seemed to be awaken from a trance, a lot of movement was seen on the different stations.

"Cannon at 10% and charging" said the young woman from the console.

"Faster! We can not let him get away" commanded the man. In the screen he could see the person on the dark body suit was back on his feet and was quickly moving back towards the house.

Johnny was quickly running, he was barely 100 feet from the main house. The pain on his left shoulder was sharp but it didn't stop him, he was not running even faster than before.

In front of the main house the group of soldiers had been also knocked down from the explosion. One of them saw a figure quickly approaching, he picked up his weapon and aimed it in the direction of the incoming man but before he could press the trigger a sharp pain stopped him.

Swish!

"Arrrgh!"

Johnny passed next to the group of soldiers and continued going, on his way he had swiftly moved his knife and released the man from his weapon, hand included.

The front of the house was destroyed as a result of the explosion but to Johnny's relieve most of the structure was still standing. With a quick tumble he passed thru the ruined front and went deeper into the building.

"Canons ready" said the woman on the console.

"Shoot!"

The group of soldiers in front of the house was still getting back on their feet when they heard a loud buzzing sound. While still on the ground a soldier in his mid 20's was holding his bloodied arm when he saw a bright light on the corner of his eye.

Bzzzzzzzzz Booooom!

The whole house was engulfed on a bright light. Every soldier in front of it had been vaporized in an instant alongside half of the building.
