Charis

Chapter 1

The sun had scarcely risen, she could feel the shafts of light

as they concentrated on her white wings in rainbow colors through her

sheer curtains. Charis adored waking up slowly; to stretch from the top

of her head to the tip of her tail feathers. She loved the expansive of

her round queen bed.

""Ah! Oh no! I'm late!"", she gasped. Springing from her bed into

full flight, she vaulted only to be pulled immediately back into bed.

Oops, she was tangled in the cord of her headphones! The Halo 3000,

gold trimmed , fully surround sound, acoustically perfect, latest

edition Halo, to be more specific. Huh, seems like part of me didn't

wanna leave , she mused. Of all the things Charis held near and dear

music was the pinnacle, other than participating in evolving the world

and doing it with flare, of course!

The second attempt, after some apt de-weaving, was successful.

She would commonly use her virtue of faith, what most of mankind simply

called magic. The virtue of faith was done with focus and three snaps

of her sparkling fingers; however sometimes its easier to just do it

the old fashion way- with her actual fingers, as faith can work in

mysterious ways- ways unexpected! Being there was no time for unexpected

fun it seemed the best election.

Today was a day she always anticipated- Re-assignment Day. There

's something so exhilarating for Charis about getting a new task! She

enjoyed putting her mind to new undertakings and following the trail

that the Master Father always left behind, like a scavenger hunt of clue

s, promptings and visions that culminated in a serendipitous perfection.

Due to the determination she possessed of always bringing missions to

completion, her team was a premier pick among the Angel teams by the

Master of All.

Without placing the sole of her foot to the ground, in hyper

light-speed, she was in and out of her closet fully dressed. Apparel

among the Angels was more widely diversified, than on Earth. After all,

humans were, for the most part all shaped nearly the same. Angels,

however, could be human shaped, if fitting the occasion, though also

have a variety of animal adaptions. Each in their own uniquely creative

mash-up that befit their persona. Charis, herself, had grand, fully

feathered wings; when she was feeling content and peaceful. Although, if

her mood changed so did the wings, ranging all the way to fierce dragon

wings. She also had a feathery tail that resembled that of a bird, but

behaved more like that of a cat's and sometimes seemed to have a mind

of it's own altogether. Charis had clothed herself in a white tank-top

with low back, for the wings, simple blue jeans, with the addition of

black, laced combat boots.

Ready for the entire population of Heaven and Earth, Charis

grabbed her travel sack, darted up the stairs, and was about to

dispatch from the open sky-port, that was located in her sisters

upstair's bedroom ...." "Wait!" " she uttered, ""my headphones!"" Whew,

disaster averted. That could have seriously thrown off the rhythm of

her day!

Back at the sky-port window, Halo retrieved, she was struck by

the sights and sounds of a bustling heaven, a perfect machine of beings

all working together, each completely different but all working for the

same goals, a perfect society of love, wisdom, and goodness for all

members of the light force that helped carry out the plans of the Father.

It was their highest worship, Charis included!

Charis scanned Chayah's room for her little sister. It always

took a thorough scan as Chayah could easily be missed amongst her large

and ever growing collection of stuffed replicas of animals. Not

surprising, Chayah was already gone for the day. Chayah has been the

Unicorn caretaker for ages now. An appointment Charis was happy

that Chayah enjoyed, but Charis herself was, let's just say, not good at.

Unicorns, it would seem, had little tolerance for her cat-like mischievous

antics and element of surprise!

A memory crossed Charis' mind that brought out a chuckle.

Once, when Charis was delivering Chayah a message, she had thought it

would be fun to stalk in the tree above her sister and at exactly the

right moment drop in front of her, spread her wings and tail as wide as

possible and exclaim "Boo!" The plan was perfectly executed and Chayah's

reaction of utter shock was exactly what Charis had anticipated. What

happened next, however, Charis had not anticipated. Every single Unicorn

jerked up their heads, reared, neighed and scattered at a full gallop in

every direction of Heaven. Some running all the way to the first heaven,

Earth. They called it "The Great Stampede". It took all day and night and

a formidable amount of volunteers, one of which was Charis, to soothe the

horses back to their grazing land. The only way to soothe a Unicorn was

through song, which was one of Chayah's greatest gifts. She had one of

the most rare and on tune voices in all the Heavens.

Charis chuckled a little more remembering Chayah admonishing her

after the incident. Her round face, wispy blonde curls bouncing as she

crossed her arms and tapped her foot wildly like a rabbit notifying his

fellows in a burrow below. Her round brown eyes and stubby horn pointed

up directly at her sister. Charis was quite a bit taller than Chayah and

shrugged with the glint of a sparkle in her greens eyes. Chayah couldn't

help but crack a smile. Inside; Chayah loved the unexpected

entertainment Charis always provided. In Heaven your innermost thoughts

and feelings are revealed to each other by light emanating from one's

soul, and Charis could always see Chayah's great love for her, and her

love for Chayah was returned. So Unicorns may not be my cup of tea,

Charis thought. That is precisely why she'd been assigned to the dragon

keep, in her elementary training.

Now there's where the fun is at! Some of Charis' best battle

moves and sneak attacks had been learned there. Aww, the good days,

Charis reminisced. Most of all, she missed the mauling, the chewing and

basically the rough housing. Leviathan's love to maul heads and limbs.

However, she was glad that her mom, in a sneak attack style of her own,

had stopped constantly ambush spraying her with air-freshener and

muttering about the smell of smoke. The best thing about her time at the

dragon keep, besides the dragons themselves, was the abandoned dragon

egg hatchery Charis had discovered nestled in the snowy mountain range

of the North. She and her team have used it for their special rendezvous

point for a millenia. In fact, that was exactly where Charis was headed

this particular morning to meet her cohorts, as was their custom on

re-assignment day. They liked to enter the throne room as a company!

Sliding down her flight goggles, tossing her Halo into the air,

which perfectly settled circumferencing her head, she only had to think

of her favorite song for the Halo to start playing it. She crouched

down and sprang straight up into the air in an impressive display of

strength, then arched her back into a swan dive, plummeting straight

down until the last possible second, arched up just enough to catch the

wind and soar off through the open sky in an equally impressive display

of agility. With a quick glance of appreciation at the home that

represented family to her, being angels don't actually have family in

the way its done on Earth they do similarly have groups because the

Father knows the proximity and support from your fellow beings is

paramount to true love, she set off toward the North. The glow of the

Throne to her right side and a breeze of celestial chorus providing the

wind beneath her wings, she pressed forth.

Chapter 2

Charis withdrew from the city over the 12th gate and caught a

portal wind toward the cold frosty mountain. Moments later she landed

gracefully on an outcropping of rock at the mouth of a cave nearly

completely obscured by icicles. She could tell the entire team was

assembled just inside from the sound of voices echoing out of the mouth

of the cave. By the pitch they were engaged in a very interesting

conversation! Charis took a moment to thank the Father for her friends;

the affection she felt for them was ever glowing inside of her!

After the cave opening, a short tunnel led to a wide cavern that

was actually the center of an inactive volcano. It was lit by the

volcanoes opening directly above them. The column-like shaft was filled

with industrial steel cat-walks and scaffolding, once part of an

elaborate dragon egg hatching operation, used up until the lava cooled

and formed into a glossy black obsidian that veined through the walls.

Inside there were trees and waterfalls; an underground world, really.

In the center was a dragon nest made from golden amber. Bits of smoke

were rising from a burning fire where the team awaited Charis' arrival.

The moment Charis stepped out into the cavern,

Mishal was at her side fluttering in a frenzy of

excitement. " "Your here!, Excellent! According to my

watches you're a little late, 26 minutes and 6 seconds

Earth time. However, no worries, there's exciting

news spreading through the Heavens"," she rapidly

exclaimed. Mishal is our logistics expert, everything

involved with punctuality,timing, and coordinating

was her specialty. She kept things right in the

time-space continuum and the cosmic time line during

their missions. She had the privilege of access to the

River of Time as well, though the team had never used

it as of yet. She was the intelligence officer and

considered herself the most "in-the-know" Angel in Heaven. Her small frame,

mouse shaped ears, black glasses and infinite linguistical curiosity

was perfect for fettering out all things mysterious.

"I know something you all don't know"" she continued.

"Yes so we have heard- for the last

26 minutes"", interrupted Puwt.

""And 6 seconds"" added Ruwb.

Puwt and Ruwb are the teams demolition experts.

There's a time to build and a time to tear down was

their motto, and if there's something you need torn

down these are the guys. They had helped the team

out of some tight spots before and as Charis had

heard toppled some kingdoms of darkness in the past. They were almost

mirror images of each other, except for Puwt's red hair to Ruwb's black

frock. They were both tall and stocky with wide shoulders, big hands

and feet and bulldog essences.

"So tell us now Mishal, we're all here." a steady

voice spoke from the fire in the middle of the cavern.

There Laben was knelt down breaking and throwing

small sticks into the fire, his face lit up in the

glow of its warmth. Which was the perfect word to

describe Laben- warmth. He was Charis' right hand.

He literally fostered the heart of a lion, with all

the bravery, strength and dignity that implied. His

steady calm, yet authoritative voice, always brought

Charis comfort in even the most perilous of

situations, and they'd had a few.

""Well, yes, I just wanted to wait until we were

all here"," Mishal tweeted. "Very well, that's

considerate." Charis responded, "I'm all ears,"

but no sooner had the words came out, Charis

noticed Chayah trotting up from the rear. "Why

hello! What are you doing here, Sis? Swinging by

to check out the lair? If you're getting bored

over there in the grassland, I could come by and

stir things up a bit!" Charis joked. "Ha! Funny,

your a funny one"" Chayah replied. "Actually

Mishal hacked my Halo with an urgent message to

meet here.""

Charis' eyebrows rose as her eyes settled back on Mishal. "Yes, correct,

I thought Chayah should be in attendance as well." Mishal affirmed.

"And so.." prodded Ruwb.

"O.K, O.K." Mishal began, clearing her throat and letting her hands

float in the air just under her chin, "There's something BIG happening

today!""

"Argh! Of course there is , its re-assignment day!"" Puwt exclaimed

exasperated.

""No, no its BIGGER than that,"" Mishal reiterated. ""I saw the 7

arch-angels assembling at the Throne today as the sun rose through the

first portal!""

"What!" burst Ruwb, "The 7 haven't assembled in nearly 2000 Earth years!

Are you sure that's what you saw? Maybe you had a dream from being

exhausted with too much study?""

"She's right!""confirmed a voice from above. It was

Eiry who'd been silently perched high in the rafters

until now. Eiry is the watchmen, their rear guard.

With his hawk like gaze Eiry saw everything well

before the others. Because of him the team had never

been entrapped by a surprise attack. You could always

trust him to be keeping an eye on all directions.

He, also, carried Uriel's light with him so he was

usually the first in on any mission. With Charis'

cat-like playfulness she had made one of her eternal

goals to sneak up on Eiry, just once! So far no

success, though that hadn't stopped her from trying!

Eiry rounded off their 6 unit team. All perfected teams had 7 units, but

Charis thought they had gotten by with just the 6 of them. Besides, you

couldn't make things happen before their time, if there was a 7th out

there they would just have to wait for the Master to reveal the

pre-destined one.

"I saw the seven on their chariots of fire and accompaniment coming in

from all 12 gates of the city this morning." Eiry continued, "and not

just that, but it seems all angels and guardian angels were traveling

from their posts. The entire heavenly hosts are going to be at the

assembly today, all nine choruses.""

Hmmmm, curious, very curious, thought Charis silently.

Surveying the faces of all present, they were all

thinking intently on what the meaning could be. Charis

' team loves a good mystery!

""What do you think it means ?"" Chayah asked looking up

at Charis searching her expression for clues.

" "I guess we'll find out soon enough."" Charis answered;

already lost to her imagining and possible deductions.

Chapter 3 🕊

The team took off from the cave and set out toward the Throne in

a V formation. Their faces absorbing the heavenly radiating light of

love. It was running through each of their celestial bodies, powering

them from head to tail. There certainly was something extra-ordinary

happening today. The entire collective of angels was pulsing out a

particularly strong feeling of grandeur that was hard to put into words.

As they skimmed over the city, it tingled deep inside Charis and

sparked in her memory the sensation of one of the most sacred phenomenon!

The story of our Great High Priest; Son of the Most High!

Not long ago, all heaven sat silently, peering anxiously through the

crystal clear glass floor of the Throne room at the Son of Man

finishing the greatest work any of them had seen completed... EVER! With

the strike of a whip, the Lord was scourged. Micheal jumped, prepared to

bring the full weight of his chaos upon those who dared to touch his

King. It took a total of three legion, to hold back the "Prince of the

First Rank" as he strained against them. We all knew the power of

Micheal was a force to be reckoned with. His love for Jesus was so deep it was

humbling to us all. Micheal was beyond amazing to Charis. She held a deep

admiration for him as she aspired to lead her team as well as he leads

the Army of the Lord. It was impossible for her to stop watching him.

The Father had told us to watch; but nothing else. As the Son of God hung

upon the wood beams; rejected, he refused the sponge of human tonic,

meant to ease His pain. This also signified to the Angels that, to save

man; Christ was going to fulfill this mission...as a man. At this

Micheal dropped to his knees, the fight had left him and he sat upon his

knees; hands and forehead pressed to the floor below. Eyes glue to the

unfolding scene. There, the inherit power of Christ's love was building

and building, with each step of progressive torture. It grew so thick,

and heavy, and powerful, it felt as though it was uncontainable. Every

drop of that love was building up in the Holy of Holies. ""It is finished"!"

Christ proclaimed, as He released His soul! There was collective exhale

from every living creature that felt like it lasted an eternity. It was

the Father; who broke the silence, " "I break this day My old covenant

with man! I instate a New and everlasting one! Go, slice the veil."" He

commanded. Instantly, like race horses bursting through gates, the

Angels of the highest rank, shot through the heavens, with such force,

it shook the Earth below and created a booming thunderous sound. With

one slash of the heavenly sword the veil that contained all that God is,

all of Christ's tremendous love, that had swelled like a balloon; burst

open! The Lord had come out of the Holy place and dwelt with man!

It felt like a tidal wave, that all creation felt. We all became coated

with it. Charis could feel her heart was stretched or up-graded with the

quality of Christ's love; unconquered. A New Covenant was made! Not

one that depended upon your adherence to rules and laws but one based

on love! How much love God loved all creation with!

Micheal, the General, Leader of the 4th Heaven, the Protector, Defender

of Faith, still sat on the floor ever peering down upon the Lord. He

watched as He was laid in the tomb, wrapped in a cloth and sealed within

. Micheal could feel the disciples and follower's love for Christ and

witnessed it radiating from them in streaks of light. Charis could see

the same light radiating from Micheal, himself, as his love was as deep.

Three long days and nights he sat, he stared; and just when Charis'

up-graded heart thought it could take it no longer, the Father whispered

, ""Go, raise My Son, in whom I am well pleased!"" In a nano second of

thrilled delight, Micheal swelled out in a relief and excitement that

was so beautiful and awe striking, Charis still got chills just

picturing it. Micheal spiraled down from heaven, creating a whirl wind

through the clouds with sparkling heavenly trails of fire behind.

Charis watched after him. He was instantaneously in the tomb. He took

the Lord by the hand and He rose. In a burst of joy Micheal blasted the

stone away. As they stepped into the light of day, Christ looked up

into Micheal's eyes and with a pat of his shoulder simply smiled and

with a wink, said, ""I'll see you soon."".

The halls of Heaven were dressed in the finest trimmings, the banquet

was set, every Angel was encouraged to display their joy in every way

possible. The beauty of that day still caught the breath of Charis and

any Angel who thought on it.

Christ rose up through the Heavens arriving at the base of a long

gradually inclining staircase that led to the Throne itself. Angels

robed and arrayed, the Lord; and as He ascended the steps the praise

and cheers and song physically filled us all to overflowing. Gabriel

sounded his trumpet in an announcing rhythm. At the precipice of the

assent, amongst the seven Candlesticks, after a fiercely loving hug

from His Father, the King was crowned and with a smile of satisfaction

at bringing forth many sons and daughters for God; Christ sat down at

the right hand of God!

"You sure have been quiet on the flight,"" came Laben's voice into

Charis' ears, piercing through the deep emotions she was re-experiencing.

""Yeah, I guess so," she responded. "I was just remembering...!""

" "Me too,"" Laben interrupted. They exchanged a meaningful, knowing

and reverent smile, as their feet touched down at the very spot the

precession of Christ began; at the first of the steps to the

Throne of God.

Chapter 4

Puwt and Ruwb came in for a rough landing, all feet over wings that ended in a heap of feathers, dust, and then intense laughter. It happens so often that Mishal and Chayah simply leapt over them not even pausing their conversation. These two were inseparable. When they were together the chatter never stopped. Mishal was delighted to pick Chayah's brain about the Cherubim that tend the Unicorns and Chayah was equally happy to talk about Unicorns all day and night!

Eiry also side-stepped the tangled ball of boys and muttered, "I saw that coming," with a smirk on his face. Laben volunteered to hoist the boys up and attempted to flatten out their bristled feathers and wipe off the dust. Puwt and Ruwb, back on their feet, wrapped their arms over each others shoulders and trudged off laughing all the way up the steps. Laben was shaking his head as he followed close behind them.

Charis, still a little overcome with emotion, paused to feel the awe-striking majesty of this place. Recovering her dignity, she followed her team up the steps.

The Throne Room of God was more than a place; it felt like the very heartbeat of the universes, but also as comfortable as your own living room. The kick off your shoes, stay awhile feeling of home, with all the peace that implies. It was always a delight to all the senses. Beyond the sights there was always this amazing smell. Charis didn't change her clothes for days after being here because the smell lingered in them.

The Throne Room was ever changing, as soon as God had one idea and designed it, He'd immediately have another brilliant idea and the room would appear completely new and exciting, every time she visited Him. He loves variety. Since, the time, the 'one whom Jesus loved' had visited, it had been changed maybe a million times. Gladly God had forsaken the psychedelic shag carpeting of a few decades ago. Shag plus wings plus celestial energy produced one thing in abundance- static cling! Every angel that came and went out of the Throne, in those days, entered looking one way and exited with an entirely new hair style. Mostly standing straight up! The angelic force was so strong upon the Earth it gave rise to a fashion among the humans that involved loads of hairspray and hair gel. With the Father's sense of humor, it left one to wonder if it was intentional.

As Charis entered the room this particular morning, however, the Throne Room was striking, absolutely magnificent. Cathedral style pillars rose from floor to ceiling with theatre style chairs encircling the entire room. An enormous round stained glass window with crown molding was centered above and the floor below that was polished so that it looked as though it were not even there at all. The River of Life bubbled out of the center and flowed out in every direction, washing the feet of all who tread upon this Holy ground. Intense, Charis thought, the Lord is in an exceptional mood for sure. Most of the Angels were mesmerized by the thunders and lightening that seemed to come directly out from the Throne itself, which sat a little off to the side but directly on the polished floor.

The Angels assembled themselves in the circles and rows of chairs. As each section of the celestial choir sat down, a color of light shown upon them. First, the Seraphim, 'the fiery ones', a dark red shine appeared. Then, the Cherubim, 'record keepers', the Thrones, 'the many eyed ones', Dominions, 'the teachers', and the Virtues, 'workers of miracles'; orange, yellow, lime green and a darker green, shimmered; respectively. Next came the Powers, 'the enforcers' and the Principalities, 'guardians of cities and nations'; light blue and dark blue, glimmerings were cast around the room. Lastly, the Arch-Angels and the rest of the Angels; purple and violet, arrayed the vast expanse. We were the last ring, not because God thought less of us as the Rebellion had suggested, but because we were closest to the Earth. Helping mankind was our mission. Each of the Angel teams sat behind their Arch-Angel leader. We stood behind Micheal. The protector of the elect of God! Charis quickly looked for Chayah behind Uriel, the Arch-Angel, who kept safe the mysteries of God. This was where all the pre-team Angels gathered because it was, after-all, still a mystery of God where they'd end up in the cosmos. Charis gave her a sisterly wave and Chayah shot one back a broad smile. Chayah looked as wide eyed with excitement as Uriel, himself.

The thunders and lightening quieted as the last of the host settled into their respective places, and absolute silence embraced everyone, as the King entered. With the raise of His hand, the floor began to shift, it evolved from a blur beneath into absolute focus. A surprised gasp arose from every living creature at witnessing that the Throne had grown exceedingly close to the Earth. You could see clearly the continents. Every millennia, every century, every decade, year, season, day, and moment, the Kingdom grew ever closer to the Earth. It was so close now Charis could hardly believe it! The entire host broke out into cheers and shouts of joy at the sight! The kingdom of God was on the verge of reconciling all things to itself. Very soon they would all live in harmony on an everlasting Earth with, all the sons and daughters of God, as one royal kingdom!

The dark angels were weakening. Their kingdom found itself in a predicament, flanked on either side, wedged between the 2nd and 3rd heavens and the Earth below. Our High Priest had taken the Earth for heaven and now the dark ones were not only cast from the heavens but were cast from the Earth, as more believers matured into their authority. The light shining from both sides had them pinned down in the few remaining dark areas, where they shirked from the light. Their power diminished almost completely!

The scene through the floor started to take some shape. What all eyes were observing was like rays of sun, piercing through rain clouds. Shafts of color shooting through in beams from the Earth to the Heavens as numerous as the stars or the sands of the sea. Millions of lights shinning, with varying degrees of strength, some large and some small, all in a unique shade of amazing color.

Charis found herself drawn to a light that was flickering, lighting, then waning, then waxing; but the violet color was so beautiful she longed for it to shine brighter and longer, as she pressed in for a closer look. Just then, Gabriel blew his trumpet in a soprano tone and at the last of the resounding note, a symphony of voices sounded through the floor. They came from every direction, swirling through the room and into the ear drums of every angel present. Bits of audio sound bites, voices calling, praising, asking, commanding, singing, myriads of prayers with the harmony of one thought, "Your Kingdom come, Your Will is done!" Once again a cheer erupted from the heavenly host. They are calling for us, for God, for our kingdoms to merge! Charis was so moved, a tear tickled the edge of her eye, and she cheered out of joy, elation, acceptance, love, came from the very depth of her heart and she sang a Hallelujah! Other's followed her in song and a chorus of hallelujah rang out from the angels and surprisingly from the Earth below, too, came a resounding "Hallelujah!" We were hearing, "King of kings and Lord of lords!" Holy Spirit was beaming out a smile that went from ear to ear!His work with humanity had changed almost every attribute of life that lived upon this planet which He was assigned to perfect! The lights from below burned brighter and the faces of the Angels were illuminated as they looked down. The voices again began to ring out their prayers, their supplications and their praise!

Angel team leaders began to call out to be assigned to the voice they felt compelled to answer. That one, this one! We can help there! Send us to them! We volunteer! As Charis looked around, to the left and to the right they were all getting assigned; the Lord agreeing to their requests with a nod and a dismissing wave of His hand, teams exiting to prepare. Charis focused back down on the floor. She searched and strained and scanned for the violet light. Nowhere, it was nowhere! She scanned harder almost frantically. Where is it? Oh please... just then it flickered and the sound came clear and the background noise faded, and she heard "Father who is in Heaven, if your there... really there..." it dimmed- then grew brighter, "if your there send me an angel to help me. I don't know who I am or where I fit." Charis burst out, "That one! Send us!" Surprised by her own boisterous shout, Charis glanced back at her team, their faces all smiling and nodding in support and agreement. At that Charis turned back to the Lord, who was now staring directly into her eyes. For a moment it felt like, only she and He were in the room! He smiled, He nodded, He said, "It is good" and dismissed her with a wave of His hand.

Charis turned to her team; they all reached out for each others hands forming a circle, as Thunder clapped loudly. Instantly they were all teleported to the icy ledge of the cave.

Chapter 5

Charis followed her feet, one after another, through the icy tunnel. Dazed and a little numb, her heart racing with thoughts and overwhelming emotions. The team playfully bouncing around her on all sides. Each one spouting off their own ideas and plans all at the same time. Mishal was clamoring about how she was going to learn all she could about humans and put all that information into a genius compilation. " A field guide to humanity I'll call it." "It will be so informative they will have no choice but to induct it into the Enochian Library!" She always had impressive imaginings! "Boom! Boom!" shouted Puwt to Ruwb. Charis had no idea what they were talking about, nor at the moment did she need to know. Their loud and excited voices dulled to faint background noise. Earth, they'd accepted a mission to Earth! The big, beautiful, exciting Earth! The large, blue and green Earth! The unknown, foreign and strange Earth! The loud, scary, battle zone, Earth! Oh No! What if she had just signed on for more than she could handle? What if she fails, fails God, fails her team, fails the violet light? What did she know about Earth? Nothing, she knew nothing, she had never been there!

Until now, she had only defended the 3rd heaven from infiltrators! The fallen were always after one of two possible things. The first is the mysteries of God. The most precious of the knowledge and wisdom of the Creator. The dark forces seek to know anything they can about God's hidden plans and secrets, so they might unravel them. It's said that the dark prince has become obsessed with being wiser than Father and thus offers a handsome reward to anyone that retrieves information for him. These incentives extend not only to the fallen but the righteous angels as well. Whether its a book , a scrap of scroll or even a single word from the Enochian library, he made impressive reward offers, which no one ever knew if they were true, since his strategies always failed. That is why the library is heavily guarded at all times. That is also why carrying a single message through the 2nd heaven is so perilous. The enemy always tries to slow down progress by detaining all the holy angels, passing through their domain. Even a single word from God carries power that changes to righteousness, where ever it is heard, throughout the whole universe.

The second agenda of the enemy is more sinister than the first and rose a righteous indignation in Charis, just at the thought. The second strategy of the rebel was to gain recruits. Yes, they targeted talented, yet meek angels trying to contrive a way to manipulate them into changing sides. However, it had been a very long time since that had happened, as far as Charis knew because the enemy had taken the battle front to the Earth, targeting humans instead. A cold chill crept up Charis' spine..

… Then a warm sensation, starting in her hand, seeped up her arm. She looked down to see Laben's hand firmly gripping hers. When had this happened? She'd been so lost in her own thoughts she hadn't noticed. Her eyes rose to lock on his. "You were dimming out a little bit there". He smiled deeply and was intently peering back at her. "You know you got this; right? The Lord couldn't have chosen anyone better for the task". Charis quickly glanced down, a little embarrassed. "Yeah I just want to do a good work". "And I know you will! We are all behind you", came Laben's quick response. Hearing that from Laben really meant a lot to Charis, because unlike the rest of the team, Laben had been to Earth before. He rarely spoke of it and all that Charis knew of it, she had gathered from a conversation between some of the Prince Angels. She knew that Laben had been sent to the human named Daniel, whom the Lord was quite fond of, to answer his prayer for his nation. In route, he had been detained for days in the 2nd heaven and eventually, Micheal, himself, went to assist him. After that, Laben had requested he be put on a team and that's how he ended up in their motley crew. Interrupting this memory, Laben playfully yelled out, "What we need now is... a little music!"

Laben jerked Charis by the hand out into the wide cavern and started doing, what he called his groove thing. Instantly Charis felt the weight of all her worries roll off her shoulders. He's right; the Lord has confidence in her team, so should she! Just takes a little faith she thought, brushing her long hair back over her shoulder, with an air of confidence.

The team laughed and sang and danced and played their instruments late into the night! Exhausted from so much fun, they all huddled around the campfire.

Charis felt it was the perfect time to make her speech. Rising to her feet, clearing her throat, and ruffling her feathers to get everyone's attention. "Now with Jesus on the throne and Holy Spirit in charge on earth, this next level of understanding for earth; the kingdom age is our expertise! We as a team, have been fully conditioned to make ourselves known and seen by those who believe. The light I saw was violet," Charis declared.

Leban's thoughts of his day with Daniel and what Charis was sharing about the violet light were definitely connected! His heirs; was the idea that popped into his mind.

Mishal blurted out "Violet; the aura of priestly governmental authority!"

" The beam of light designates the giftedness of families placed by the seven angels of Holy Spirit's cabinet. Daniel, like David, was used by God for priestly and kingly governing for his dispensation," Puwt chimed in very enthusiastic about being a part of such a significant piece of the unveiling of the mystery age and revealing the order of immortality passed down from generation to generation.

Chayah burst on the scene, out of breath, to excited to speak. She had to use her sign language skills to tell them she had just come from speaking with Jesus! She, too, was chosen to go with them.

"I love each and everyone of you so much! Inspiring talk between us!" Charis beamed. Everyone started cheering, then hugged and headed off to bed for a good night of rest and sweet dreams.

Charis and Chayah landed gently just inside the skyport of Chayah's upstairs bedroom. The plushy purple carpet muting their landing. Charis appraised her sister as one of the most loving angels she had ever met.

After Charis tucked Chayah warmly into bed, kissed her rosy red cheek, she fluttered to the top of the stairs and took the banister on all fours, leaping into her bed from the landing. Only seconds later,"Charis you awake?" floated down the stairs in sleepy tones from Chayah. "Yeah, Chayah I'm up. Come on down here." As soon as she pronounced the last syllable Chayah was instantly teleported to her bedside. It was a darling sight, there stood Chayah covered horn to toe in a white and purple unicorn themed onesie, unicorn slippers, shrouded in a unicorn blanket, and firmly grasping a unicorn stuffed animal by the leg. With one wing Charis lifted up the covers, "Climb on in, just watch the horn", Chayah let out a squeal of joy as she bounded in, gave a little knee buck, settling into a ball with her face pressed into Charis' chest. Charis tucked the covers and her wing around the little philly as she asked " I never expected you to come by the cave, we are headed to Earth?" "I know, I always knew you were going to do great things, Charis! I'm really not too surprised." Chayah responded looking up smiling. "Yeah , that's what I keep hearing" Charis thought about how Chayah always seemed so sure that everything that happened was always meant to be. Charis admired her trust and peace in the will of Father. "So where were you earlier, though? I tried you on the Halo a million times?", "Oh yeah, well I was, I was with Uriel. He took me to speak with Jesus. I had to turn my Halo off to pay attention to Uriel." "Haha, yeah your probably right about that!" "Goodnight Charis" "Goodnight Chayah"

Charis chuckled thinking of Uriel. He was quite possibly the hardest of the Prince angels to follow in revelation conversations. His manner of speaking was always in riddles, mysteries, and deep-thoughts at best, or so it seemed to Charis. She thought of the last conversation they'd had on the day of Chayah's orientation at the Unicorn encampment..

"Why hello Charis and Chayah! You two are here, very special, very special indeed. Always a pleasure, at least up until now, mostly always I hope."

To himself, "Not hope, I know"

"Yes, Hello Uriel" Chayah cheerfully responded. Charis just nodded.

"I see many things in your spirits of pairing. Many things....." Then he just stared for what felt like eternity.

Charis grew impatient while Chayah simply returned the intent look.

"Yeah, well, we better continue looking around the place..." Charis tried to move on.

"Just one moment.." To himself, "or should I say?...hmm... yes I see...." Back to the girls, "Yes, I feel I should tell you, a three strand cord, love rules, just let go ."

They paused wondering if there was more, there wasn't. "Wow, good advise, good talk" Charis now with her hands on Chayah's shoulders trying to turn her to move forward. Chayah still intently staring into Uriel's eyes.

"When the time comes Chayah you will know what you must do" To himself, "She will know, they both will know. Won't they? Of course they will"

"Yep, we will" Charis piped in quickly. "Good bye Uriel" Chayah finally spoke.

"Goodbye, I look forward to our next talk Charis." Uriel commented, finally breaking his trance-like stare.

"Yes, me too." Charis turned and the girls headed off.

"I'll remember you said so. Or will I ? Yes I will." Uriel's voice fading from behind her.

Charis mused in her bed that night exactly what Uriel's words could mean? She suddenly realized she understood what He had meant about their pairing. She now looked forward to when they would meet again! Deep and peaceful breathing rose from under the covers, Chayah was already deeply dreaming. Love ya Sis and thank you Father for everyone in my life , were Charis' final thoughts that evening.

Chapter 6

The sun has past through the 3rd portal some time ago. Surely its late enough now. She'd been waiting for what felt like eternity. The plan will work, it's got too. She'd been over it in her mind a thousand times. Guard change, around the back, through the side entrance, down the hall, up the stairs, open the drawer, get the key, unlock the gate, the last case, the last shelf, the last book, then straight out the way you came. Whew , you can do this she thought, you've got to. In and out, quick and easy. The back, the hall , the stairs, the drawer, the key, the book, the back, the hall , the stairs, the drawer, the key, the book... it had became a mantra to pass the uncomfortable wait.

Its time, slipping on the black backpack she straightened her hooded sweater and slid out into the cloak of night. Only the sound of her padded feet in the crisp air. Scurrying up to the back entrance , the knob was hard to turn, sticky, then 'Pop!', finally the latch gave way and a loud screech proceeded from the heavy iron hinges. Oil anyone, the sarcastic thought flashed through her head, she paused straining to hear even the slightest sound of detection of her presence. Sure that it was safe to proceed she pushed a rock into the jamb of the door and slipped inside; coming out would be easier than getting in.

Quickly she skip stepped down the hall to the stairs. She couldn't help but stare up at the ceiling which glowed majestically in the light of night , a thousand twinkling lights , a myriad of stars blanketed the roof. The entire story of all time, of every life, is said to be encoded into those patterns. Beautiful! No, she must keep going! She set to take the steps however with every step up it seemed her foot slipped off one and back to the step below, Geez, did they ever get tired of waxing these steps, someone could really get hurt on this slippery obstacle course! Finally! The top... Pressed against the wall she circumvented the room until she was behind the desk. The desk drawer flew open with surprising ease and banged loudly against its built-in stoppers, the entire contents tangled into a mess of items at the front of the drawer. Argh, she scuffled through the contents recklessly once, then twice; papers, ink, quills, stamps, no key! No key! It's not here , shocked and confused she just stood there a moment, fighting the impulse to just flee she tried to think. At a loss she resigned to just give up , turning to bolt back down the stairs one step into her flight , a glint! The light reflected directly into her eye, the key! Hanging on a hook a single beam of moonlight illuminating the object she so desired! Yes!

Two steps and she was there, an elegant pirouette and she was attempting to slide the key into the cast iron gate. After several shaky trial runs the key finally aligned to the lock and slid in. The gate scissored open in a loud crash, no matter she would simply leave it as it was, key and all , no need to cover her tracks she would be gone before anyone would be around to discover it. Last case, last shelf, last book … She squatted at the last case and slid her fingers frantically over every binding on the last shelf until they rested on the final book. She tugged with her fingers then harder with both hands, What! What is keeping this book in here!?! The shelf was packed tight, at last, the book sprung free with the pressure of the other books propelling it into her chest knocking her onto her bottom under a cascade of books with the book falling open into her lap, the large handwritten letters beaming up at her. This is it!! An alarming feeling of how sacred the writing was struck her senses for a moment, she quickly gathered herself and the book. Shoving the book into her backpack she focused on making an extremely swift exit!

At a full run she escaped the private room , the office and was rounding the corner down the stairs, whoops! A misstep and she was on her back, the book in her backpack acting like a sled she flurried down the entire flight of stairs, commencing the unplanned maneuver at the bottom of the stairs, Well that was certainly fast! She took the hall in fewer steps than she thought possible and burst out the back door, the hinges letting out a sound similar to a crying cat and swinging back so forcefully the door shot the rock out of the jamb and pinged loudly off the window in the next door building which instantaneously shattered. Not good! She grimaced at the latest turn of events, "Hey You! Hey Stop!" the guards full voice rang through the air as he surged toward her, She burst forward away from him with a speed that surprised even herself , with the sound of her own feet pounding in her head she glanced behind to see the guard had stopped, no time to wonder why as she disappeared into the night....

Chapter 7

Beep! Beep! Beep! Violet Vanderbilt's alarm sounded at precisely 6 o'clock am, like it did every morning. One arm shot out from the covers and gently pressed the alarm button to off. Violet awoke with an alarming thought on her mind as well as the alarming sound in her ear ... another dream. Soaked in sweat she sat up and swung her legs off the side of the bed. Her toes felt good pressed against the cold floor. The dream, now just a fleeting jumble of places, faces, feathers and fright that could not, would not, align itself with logical reasoning, sporadically dancing through her mind's eye. Violet's mom, Carrie, was one of those faces. She had just simply vanished about two years earlier. The local consensus was she had left Violet and her dad, that the cheese had slid off her cracker, her train had jumped the tracks Violet's mom had become known as 'Crazy Carrie' who often spouted off rants about other realms and mysterious beings. The locals seemed relieved not be subject to her wild imaginings, anymore. However, Violet missed her mom more than she ever let on to anyone. The last thing Violet could remember her mom saying to her was that she was loved and that she was never alone and that they were always watching over them. Running her fingers through her hair, Violet held one image from the dream in her thoughts, a golden piece of paper, parchment maybe, writing, words? … who knows ...the importance of it seemed to fade as her conscious mind became more alert.

Violet dressed in her jogging suit, a pair of worn out sweats and turtleneck' with a vest over top; laced up her running shoes. Being as quiet as possible she tip-toed down stairs and into the kitchen. The early morning sun was still warming up the place but was casting enough light to reveal the kitchen was in a total state of chaos. Dad must have been working late last night, Violet thought. Ever since Violet's mom disappeared her father had thrown himself into his work. She reached out to grab the coffee pot- "No! Do not drink that , it's not coffee!" Suddenly Violet's dad, the once illustrious physicist, Dr. Perry Vanderbilt, clumsily clanged through the basement door next to the flight of stairs going up to the second level . Violet thought to herself, well his mind may be slipping but he has the ears of a bat to hear the coffee pot from down there. "Vi , I may have unraveled a mystery of the universe! The secret to life itself !" the wild eyed Dr. Perry announced. " And its in our coffee pot?" Violet quipped as she peered in at the blackish goo that surely was going to be impossible to remove from the pot. "Well, yes , yes it is, it is in our pot that is for brewing the substance coffee. This could very well be the elixir of life, the key to immortality!" A single bubble managed to force its way out of the black tar and putter out into the atmosphere thankful to have found it's freedom. "I see" Violet muttered leaning her head away from the pot wondering if she should be holding her breath. "I'm sorry about the pot. My Bunsen burner decided it did not want to go on this world changing expedition and gave up on me last night, but don't you worry I will retrieve a new one today." "Better grab a coffee pot as well"' Violet added as she turned the pot over and marveled at how the substance seemed completely unaffected by gravity. "Careful! I must run some tests on this immediately Vi", Dr. Perry grabbed the pot and headed back down the stairs. "Have a great run", he hollered up from his murky, odd smelling, make-shift basement lab. "Will do Dad, love ya". Amused at her father, Violet gently shook her head. Oh wait! Her mp3 player , Whew, disaster averted. That could have seriously thrown off the rhythm of her day!

After retrieving her music player she slipped out the door from the kitchen into the backyard. Oh how she loved the early morning, a light fog covered the ground, the grass and the leaves on the bushes that perimetered the yard with droplets of dew. In the far corner there was a small break in the bushes that let way to the trail through the forest behind the houses of her neighborhood. Violet had been running the trail for years now. It started the morning of her mother's disappearance. Vi had been sure her mom had just gotten turned around out in the forest and that she'd see her standing just around the next turn. Although that was never the case, it seemed Violet could still feel her out here, some times, and it comforted her. The forest was her and her mom's place. They would walk and talk as they explored every plant and animal that crossed their path. Violet's mom would explain to her how God had created every living thing so perfectly an that was the proof, for her, He was real. Nothing so perfect could happen by accident. The Vanderbilt's never talked of God anymore. Once when Violet brought up the subject, her father exclaimed that God did not exist, that science could explain everything, that God confused her mom and ruined her life and sanity. Violet never brought up the subject again.

Violet cranked up her MP3 player and let the music drown out her heavy thoughts this morning. Music felt like her life line, a way to sort through feelings that didn't have names to them. Kind of a way of praying that didn't require words. Off she ran.

Later that evening, Violet found herself just wrapping up the kitchen cleaning. She'd spent the better part of the day scrubbing everything down. She was just going to sweep the floor, then head off to her room to have dinner alone. Dr. Perry was sound asleep on the couch and the black cauldron of magic goop was deposited into the trash. I guess it wasn't the substance containing the mysteries of the universe after all. As Violet swept around the oven, a small piece of gold chain stretched out from under the adjustable oven foot. She prodded at it with the broom. It didn't sweep free. Now down on her hands and knees, Violet tugged at the chain. It was very snugly wound and caught on something Violet couldn't quite see. Finally, after some effort and dappling in the stickiness, the chain slid free. There in Violets hand was a sleek gold chain with a diamond angel pendent on it. With a sudden remembrance, Violet saw her mom's face from her dream flash before her. In the dream she had been wearing this necklace, although Violet had never seen her wear it or even have it in real life. How could this be? "What ya doing down there?" Violet's dad asked from the other side of the kitchen island. Startled Violet quickly clamped her hand over the necklace and shoved it into her pocket. "Nothing Dad... umm just thought I saw; heard something". " Heard something? Like a rat !! ?!!", Dr. Perry's eyes bulged. He did not like rats. "I swear I'm getting an exterminator out here first thing tomorrow morning!" Violet's dad was soon hunkered down with his headlamp on peering under the oven , then the couch, then everywhere else. "I will find this rat! The nasty thing will not contaminate my experiments!" he sounded absolute. "Yeah well , good luck with that,..I'm...I'm going to bed. See ya in the morning" Violet sputtered as she hustled up the stairs.

Safety behind her closed door, Violet fell onto her bed and pulled the necklace from her pocket. She held it up in the air above her and watched it spin, clockwise then counterclockwise. She pondered the necklace, the dream, the …. last two years. With a sign Violet gripped the necklace's tiny angel in her hand and pressed it to her heart. And for the first time in a long time she prayed... "Father, Who is in Heaven, if you're there... really there... " , yeah because the all powerful ruler of the universe has time to listen to a confused teen … who …who... , "if you're there, send me an angel to help me. I don't know who I am or where I fit". Violet slowly opened her eyes and felt , well, ... a feeling of peace as she drifted off to sleep and for just a moment she thought she could hear the faint sound of singing and a smell of campfire.

At the very same time, Charis threw one last log on the fire ....

Chapter 8

Carrie stood watching the sun rise over the horizon. Recalling how her trip into what she thought was heaven had turned out so differently than she had expected. The glimmer of hope that kept her going was the still small voice whispering to her she had a purpose in being here. She had fulfilled that purpose, she had retrieved the book, now how was she supposed to get it back to where it rightfully belonged? She knew it wouldn't take long for satan to realize it was missing , as he consulted it daily. It was his secret weapon in the war upon the saints.

From the bright light radiating from her body he had located her. She had gone over and over in her mind what she would say when they were face to face and she wasn't going to stop now! She always wanted to hear his answers to her questions and here was her chance! Before he could even open his mouth she yelled, "How did you come to hate God?".

"Hate Him? I am Him! Look around you, this is my kingdom I created all you see by myself. I have created all to fear me and do my bidding, or die. Except one, Jesus. . . And I have plans for Him." he muttered under his breath. His whole face became contorted and his expression was pure evil. "I owe you no explanation. Give me my book."

My next question was the one that took him by surprise, "But you never experience love! You cannot love; you hate even yourself!"

"Light is not of any value if you control everything with fear."

"Jesus took the kingdom from you with His love. I stand here before you as a product of His love and these named in this book love Him! They follow Holy Spirit! You can only interrupt their dreams, but their dreams still come to pass. You try to kill their hope, but they still image Jesus. You can never destroy all of them. For two thousand years they have escaped your wiles and more and more come to His love with each passing year."

Angels by the myriads began to gather. Cowering demons could be seen peeking out from among them. All were curious about the light radiating from my being.

Satan spun around and yelled, "Do you want this light in you too? Then you will be made weak and live in humility. . . forever! Your whole existence will change. You will live out of your hearts and not your minds. Take the book from her, we will continue to go after those whose names appear on the pages every day. Jesus will be stopped. We will destroy His priesthood.

Carrie handed the book to the angel who came forward at his command. Under her breath she whispered to the angel, "You have already been defeated."

Disgusted with her prattle, satan turned to leave. Over his shoulder he screeched, "Let her go. She is already immortal. Don't bother me again with such weakness as this thing you call love, girl."

Two superior angels, one on either side, gripped her arms and lifted her into the air. As they rose higher, Carrie said, "Come with me! It would be better to throw yourself at the mercy of the One who forgives than one who doesn't know what love is!" Carrie saw a spark of remembrance in the eyes of the angel on her right, a momentary inner struggle followed by a look of resolution, "OK , I will listen to you." The other angel looked aghast as he snatched the book from his arms, grabbed Carrie's hand and dove off into a whirlwind. Spinning around and around like what seemed to be hours, they landed wings extended in every direction and they realized they were not alone.

Chapter 9

The next morning Violet was up early. She felt an excitement she couldn't quite put her finger on. Perhaps she was energized by the new found connection to her mother in the golden shimmer of the necklace.

When she arrived at the landing of the second flight of stairs she came upon a landscape one could only describe as a multi-tactical full front mouse assault array. The kitchen and adjoining dining room had become a full size version of the game of Risk. Different stations were formed into groups of glue boards, spring traps, self-rigged string pull traps, positioned intricately along possible enemy crossings and routes. Commander-in-chief sat stationed in the rear of the battle in his tattered easy chair. In a swell of compassion Violet instantly knew it was time to tell Dad about the necklace. "Dad, you been up all night?" she gently asked.

"Oh no, after I got everything set up," he waved an accomplished hand over his mini-brigade, "all that was left to do was wait!".

"Dad, um, it wasn't a mouse.."

"Not a mouse! A rat? Was it a rat? A mole? Oh dear, a vole??"

"No, no, it wasn't an animal at all."

Violet's father perked his head to attention with a very puzzled look on his face. Violet slowly raised her arm and then let the pendant of the necklace slide gently from her closed palm and swing in mid-air by the chain. Her father drew a swift inhale of breath, Violet grimaced a little awaiting the outcome, she had no clue what would be. Staring intently at his facial features Violet watched the surprise turn into the deepest warmth and love, with a barely audible whisper he spoke, "Oh I haven't seen that in such a long time." He slowly walked over, detonating a few traps with his house robe, which he did not regard at all. When he held out his hand Violet let the necklace fall into it. He rolled it over several times gently hugging it with his fingers. "Your mother loved this necklace, it represented everything she had dedicated her life to. She would want you to wear it while she is away."

As her father hooked the clasp at the base of Violet's neck, the pendant cool and a little heavy against the skin of her chest, her mind raced with the digesting of the new clues her father had just confessed. As if her thought had appeared in a bubble over her head Violet's father answered, "Yes, I believe your mother will return." The words hung in the air between them like a life changing epiphany with the weight of the most profound revelation Violet had heard in her entire existence up till now. "I should probably have told you more before now," her father continued, "I always think I have to understand...

I stared at the basement stairs.

My dad said "I'll tell you what happened to your mother…" My eyes widened. I can smell the scent of multiple chemicals. As I descended the old worn wooden stairs, they protested with a squeal under my weight. As soon as my eyes adjusted to the dim light, experiments and contraptions came into view. I walked through the basement, trying to avoid the broken beakers and spilled chemicals.I didn't even know my dad had all this stuff down here. There were multiple centrifuges, a huge microscope and many computers.

"When your mother was a child she had an encounter."

"An alien encounter?" Violet interrupted.

"That's what I called it, but she called it a small quiet voice in her thoughts. She believed it was an angel for a long time."

"An Angel?" Violet was surprised and almost instinctively reached for the necklace.

Her father catching the movement commented, "Yes, it became quite important to her to find out why she heard a voice no one else ever talked about. Your mother and I dabbled in experimental theories while we attended college together. It's when I fell in love with her." Her father's eyes peered into a distant past. "She truly lit up when hypothesizing about the possibilities of distant realms and angelic forces that held the universes together. As years passed the interest seemed to turn more into a compulsion."

Violet's mind drifted to memories of her mom in the months prior to her disappearance; she was always present at everything Violet was involved in, yet somehow always distracted, always gazing off into nowhere. She was always reading and especially the Bible.

"We made a breakthrough," her father continued, "some months before …before… well you know." He picked up a glass case from a nearby shelf. After clearing the dust with a swipe of his lab coat he lifted the latched lid and pulled out a mechanical set of binoculars. "Every bit of evidence, experimentation and ancient religious texts led us to believe other realms are only disguised by light and all around us. We started to observe, with the binoculars, colors so different and much more vibrant than the ones we know. They were past the spectrum of light in the visible realm, unseen by the human eye, except with these binoculars. We talked a lot about immortality. Her faith in God motivated everything she did, now. She loved Jesus passionately and I still wanted more proof. After a while, Holy Spirit, is what she named her pet voice and I started to freak out when she started doing what it said to her. Some of what she did made absolutely no sense to me and her only explanation was, "Oh you of little faith!" So when she left, it really wasn't a big surprise and by that time I wanted answers as much as she did. She was so heaven bent in finding out, what she called the truth about why we even exist. She was so certain there was a design to everything and God created it!"

True love... thought Violet.

Chapter 10

Chayah awoke to the sound of gentle brushing wings upon the roof. Chayah manifested two piping hot cups of coco into her hands, looking in the cups two smiley faces of marsh mellows floated up to the top. "Good Morning Father" Chayah whispered. With both hands full, Chayah levitated her unicorn blanket up to her mouth and bit down, clamping it firmly in her teeth. She then floated up the stairs and on to the roof. Charis was seated Indian style on the peak of the pitched roof. She always loved high places. Chayah settled in next to her sister and handed her the hot coco.

With a happy purr, Charis sipped at her steaming cup, the two sat huddled together for a good while before Chayah turned to Charis and said.. "You might wanna do something about that bed head before our big day!"

"With what I heard in the wind tunnel it might not matter," was Charis' witty answer. They both giggled.

They had just finished their primping, when Mishal and the rest of the team came sliding down the spiral stair case. Puwt and Ruwb landed in their customary fashion and Laban stepped over them with the familiar shake of his head, while Eeiry laughed uncontrollably. Mishal started up her usual commentary, briefing us on heaven's daily activities. "The Arch angels have already broke the four winds." Ruwb shot a wry look at Puwt, "They have broke wind!", "Better out than in!" Puwt finished off.

I looked around into the faces of my team that I am about to lead into the tunnel. All were jovial as usual. As I crouch my team instantly takes the same stance and we take off together into space, as we had practiced a hundred times before. After some time of flying, I felt the sudden drop of gravity. I looked back to see if the rest of my team felt it.

Hovering there amazed and awed at the view of the Milky Way and the shining stars. Absolutely beautiful beyond words, I thought.

Then, I led my team to the worm hole that leads to The Third Heaven or as we like to call it, Earth. As we drew closer to the worm hole, I can already feel my body getting slightly taller and thinner. Everyone laughed at the way our bodies looked. Eeiry imaged a body builder, while Puwt and Ruwb were quite handsome in their slime physics, while Chayah and Mishal seemed to blend into one.

After a few minutes of flying through the worm hole. I start to lose control of my body. Spinning round and round, while spinning I got a glimpse of my team, they're having the same problem.

I started to feel my heart race, while this chaos was happening I caught the sight of something out of the corner of my eye. A black figure darted past me… He was holding what looked like a book and dragging a human behind him. It all happened so fast. Without hesitation I chased after the dark figure with my team hot on my trail. But the gravity of Earth started to kick in pulling us through what seemed to be a maze of worm holes leading to different times.

It took all my strength keeping my team together so they don't end up in different generations. Finally we got to Earth and all I could do was to brace myself for a rough landing… We got spit out of the windy tunnel, right into a forest. The landing was way softer than I expected.

With closer observation I realized we had landed on top of two angels and the woman I had spotted on our decent and the book lay open on the ground in front of us.

Chapter 11

Both angels scrambled to retrieve the book, wanting to be the one to return it to satan; not that he ever showed any gratitude for anything, but revealing obedience still active in them.

At the same time, Laban, who fell closest to the book and picked it up. On the open page was written a long list of Vanderbilt's! As he began to thumb through the pages, he could see the Book contained names of every single person from the beginning of creation and even the names of those still coming to belief in our Creator through faith in Jesus Christ!

Laban remembered hearing God say, "Remember the former things long past. For I am God and there is no other! I am God and there is no one like Me! Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not yet been done! Saying, 'My purpose will be established and I will accomplish all My good pleasure"…Holy Spirit makes everything crystal clear by speaking to our hearts from Jesus' love letters, scribed for Him by His people! God was leading us even now... Laban smiled at his own loving thoughts of Holy Spirit.

Charis put out her hand and Carrie gladly reached for it, thanking her kindly, as she rose and brushed herself off. There was a similarity in the voice she had heard on assignment day, but the color of her aura was different. Carrie's aura was a royal red with a purple twinge.

Chayah picked up on Charis' thoughts, asking Carrie what she was doing in the Second heaven? Carrie's reply was as if shocked we didn't already know. "Well, it all started with my prayers, always pressing Father for answers, always reading about the visitations others had with angels and another realm, all through history. At first they were dreams like Ezekiel seeing horses and angelic riders patrolling the earth and seeing the city of God in the end times!" Laban chimed in, being excited as Carrie began to shine, completely forgetting he was an angel here on special assignment and began sharing. "Daniel and I became quite close through our conversations." Eiery entered the conversation with his experiences with Elisha and Jonathon when they were given eternal sight to see the Army of Angels led by Michael, all around them. Chayah began to remember Uriel talking about his experiences. She, too, being excited as Carrie lit up, told of Enoch learning to write in heaven and Tobias' family! For the first time, Mishal, was speechless and stood captivated. They all totally forgot about the two other angel's who were just listening, taking it all in. The thought popped into Carrie's head, Now I know how the Book gets back to Jesus, realizing all will be revealed, being at first only obedient to what we hear in our hearts by faith. By allowing us to experience our own boldness and courage in the truth is God's way of proving His love and trust to us!

Chapter 12

Emotions heightened to tears, Perry suggested to Violet they take a walk in the forest, leaving behind the chem smells and mouse war zone. When they reached the top of the stairs, Violet said, "Wait one second" and dashed back down the stairs retrieving the binoculars. She smiled up at him as she hung them around his neck. They both laughed at the thought of bringing a piece of the past with them.

Perry was thinking about all the walks through the forest he and his wife had shared, going to the highest peak to pear through the binoculars at the magnificent yet curious spectrum of light waves. Violet was clutching the angel pendant, humming her favorite song, totally at peace with her dad's explanation and feeling whole and happy in a way unexplainable with words.

As they rounded the last bend before reaching the highest peak, they both spotted a solitary person, who seemed to be talking to herself. Violet filled with a new found love for her dad, thought she saw others come into view. "Oh, she is not alone," she whispered , not wanting to interrupt them. Perry only saw the woman from his perspective. "She looks like she is having a conversation with the trees," he chuckled. Violet lifted the binoculars to his eyes and he realized that the colored light waves, they discovered so long ago, were actual angels standing all around her, sharing in the conversation. They looked like humans except for their almost translucent wings. It was such a miraculous sight Perry began to laugh and that is when they noticed us.

Carrie instantly recognized her family and started running toward them, leaving the others a little behind her. Puwt and Ruwb enjoyed this new experience of running on their legs most of all. The girls were still getting used to walking let alone running at such a fast pace to keep up with Carrie. Their wings didn't seem to function very well here unless you were experienced like Laban, who had already learned to spin to lift off.

Perry now able to fill in the blanks in his scientific mind, took off up the hill as if his life depended on it. Ironic, it actually did to gain immortality and Violet was hot on his heals, as Carrie was close enough now to be fully recognizable to both of them. Their embrace was so long, Puwt and Ruwb began to make music with their mouths to get their attention.

Perry dropped instantly to his knees, looked up to heaven and yelled, "Lord, I believe!" They were all laughing and hugging feeling overwhelmed by His loving presence, when suddenly Jesus appeared in their midst. It was as if the two angels who had been so long away from Him had never left His side. His love and mercy never cease to thrill and amaze me, Charis thought. As they realized it was the Son of God, the bowed and saluted their Prince of Peace. As swiftly as He had appeared He floated up into the clouds and out of their sight!

Chapter 13

We watched the family of three huddled together descend the steep peak, a vibrant rainbow circling them. The Holy Spirit of promise will take it from here, Charis thought with great satisfaction. They would be offering to all men the Word of Life from this moment forward. The Vanderbilt page would be greatly expanded by the ripple started here today.

The team broke into a revelation conversation adding to each other's sentences as their minds were elated at the wonders of Holy Spirit and the intricate patterns of salvation that are so simple they are genius! Charis laughed to herself about how in this moment what started by faith had through experience ended in knowledge! It is so clear that if love never fails and God is love - God's plans always triumph because every experience is God's will!

The last item of business for the Holy Spirit is to return the Book home. They adjusted their flight gear, breathed in the beauty and majesty of Earth, and assumed the usual position. What great love God loves humans with , look at this glorious environment. With the most graceful launch they'd ever done they lifted quickly above the clouds.

As they touched down on Charis' roof, Mishal suddenly asked, "What happened to the angels who were with us?" The rest of the team exchanged baffled glances. They were so enraptured by the terribly awesome wonder of their experience none of them had noticed them leaving.

Chayah interrupted that line of thought with another question, "Are you excited to speak face-to-face with Jesus?", she squealed with excitement, "I think He is the most glorious being ever created!! Wait! Holy Spirit is totally amazing too!" "They are so much alike, its hard to tell one from the other." Eeiry mused. Charis turned to Laban, " I would be really honored if you would come with me to return the Book?" Without an answer, he lifted off and flew out of sight.

The next time they saw him he was flying through the sky-port and sliding down the spiral banister. All eyes were on him and his appearance was breath taking! "I thought princesses were the ones to make grand entrances! Wow! Great, now I must change." Charis voice trailed off with her into the closet. As she emerged for the hundredth time this afternoon, Chayah was there to meet her with a fancily wrapped box. As the team gathered around, Charis' face lit up as she pulled out the most beautiful headphones she had ever seen, white with gold trim and wireless and iridescent coloring for her wings!

As they entered the Throne Room they could hear laughing and singing, as always. Charis spotted Jesus, he was flicking a tear of joy from His eye and said jovially, "Come join us!". There wasn't even so much as an incline to His eyebrow, as He was never surprised. He nonchalantly set the Book aside as He rose and took them into a warm embrace.

Sometime later while spinning on the dance floor Charis and Laban spun up next to a familiar angel. Laban placing his hand on his shoulder said, "I knew we would see you here! "

Thank You Holy Spirit!
