7 Chapter 6

Saturday nights at Charis were like no other. Instead of getting drunk or playing games until dawn, they talk to each other. Lucifer and Scarlett started doing this when they were 5. First, it was only them two then Isaac and Caroline joined in, the rest came by when they were in 1st grade except Moniqua and Marcel, they started going to Charis in 7th grade. Kaiden just entered the school last year so he's not as used to it.

"Alright, Scarlett and Isaac have been eventful these days, so you two start us off, yeah?" Lucifer said.

"Alright," Isaac smiled, he's been doing that more often these days. "Well, as you all know now, we're dating."

"It's just been one day but so far no fights," Scarlett smiled proudly and herself and Isaac.

"That's great, guys," Zach commented.

Caroline nodded, "Yeah, it is. I'm happy for you."

Scarlett and Caroline shared a smile, silently talking through their eyes. As far as Caroline understood, Scarlett was saying 'Thank you'.

"Any news on the investigation?" Marcel asked.

Dominique shook his head, "They took it downtown, though from them even coming here, paparazzi have been asking for more information. The teachers have been preventing them from knowing more than they do but it's getting harder each minute."

"Why's that?" Kaiden wondered.

"The news has gotten out. The whole world knows," Moniqua explained briefly. "Did you not get a text or call from your parents?"

Lucifer shook his head. "Not like he cares," He rolled his eyes.

"My parents are on tour, they don't have time to call me," Kaiden reasoned. "But they did send a text though. 'Why are there rumors about your school?' from father and 'Did you do something?' from mother."

Natasha checked her phone, "My dad informed me that he had someone hack into the information they have about us and he said that we're not suspects anymore."

"That's good. My dad's not doing much but he's searching every visible camera to see if anything had seen her. But for now, we're in the clear," Isaac informed.

"So, we're good? Because my parents can't do much except deny everything and everyone believes the queen, so I guess that it much," Caroline shrugged.

"My dad's holding people hostage, anyone who knows too much will be killed or tortured," Marcel smiled at the thought.

Angelique furrowed her perfectly sculpted brows at him, "Your dad knows?"

"Well, of course, he does kill and threaten for a living so, why not?"

"Our parents are on their anniversary vacation right now, they probably don't know anything, and won't know for another month," Dominique said.

"Wait, it's their anniversary?" Angelique asked her brother.

"Yeah," Dom answered, "What, you didn't know?"

"No, our birthday's coming up and they're on vacation?"

Dom shrugged, "Why do you think they missed so many birthdays?"

"Oh."

Lucifer sent her a sympathetic look, in return, she gave him a small smile that was noticed by the rest.

"How about you, Leo?" Dominique asked Leonora seeing as she hasn't spoken.

Leonora shrugged, "I don't have much to say. My dad's in Africa looking for new land, I'm not doing so great on geography and I'm super bored like every day."

Dom nodded once, "Yeah, makes sense."

"So, we don't have anything to talk about today?" Lucifer asked. Usually, they would talk for hours about something, this time though, nothing matters.

The rest shook their heads, no one saying anything.

"Alright, well, we can compromise and have a movie night," Kaiden suggested.

"Yeah, that sounds great," Caroline said, standing up and grabbing the remote. "What do you guys want to watch?"

"Breakfast At Tiffany's!" "Lion King!" "Snakes On A Plane!" "Frozen!"

Everyone looked at Isaac weirdly.

"Why the fuck would you wanna watch Frozen?" Marcel asked him, laughing.

Isaac shrugged, "Why not? It's great!" He laughed wholeheartedly.

"We should watch The Sound Of Music!" Kaiden suggested loudly.

"Na-ah, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, please," Natasha said politely to Caroline, knowing she would cave.

"Nat, no, we should watch a TV Series instead, Lucifer is great," Lucifer suggested Lucifer.

"I feel like we should watch 365 Days. I heard it's juicy," Marcel suggested.

"Oh, yeah, like that's better than Frozen," Isaac commented, sarcastically.

"Alright, we'll make a bet. Whoever wins gets to pick the movie slash series we watch. Deal?" Caroline proposed.

They nodded their heads, "Deal."

"What's the bet?" Zach raised his eyebrow.

"It's not too late, is it? We're doing a scavenger hunt!"

"Oh, shit." "Fuck." "No no no no."

"Stop cursing, fuck," Leonora said with a smile.

"Alright, pick a partner, you guys." Caroline ordered, "Zach and I are gonna make the list of things you need to get."

Everyone was deciding their partners when they're done, they waited patiently for Caroline and Zach to finish setting up the list.

Scarlett went with Moniqua, Isaac wanted to be with her but her response was chicks before dicks. So Isaac went with Lucifer.

Dom and Angel went together as a team. Marcel was left with Kaiden as Natasha and Leonora paired together.

"And...it's done!" Caroline exclaimed, a satisfied smile on her lips. Zach and her passed out the list of things for the hunt and everyone read it carefully.

"One white lily from the garden, A knife from the kitchen, A silver platter? What the?" Marcel complained.

"It's alright, Marcel. I have a silver platter right here," Kaiden pulled a silver platter from behind him.

"Ahaha! Suck on that, bitches!" Marcel shouted, sticking his tongue out.

"Already did. Not interested," Natasha insulted.

While all that was happening, Scarlett and Moniqua were already heading downstairs to the dorms.

"What should we get first?" Scarlett asked Moniqua.

"Let's take the boy's stuff first."

They grabbed Isaac's portable fan, Zach's skateboard, Marcel's handcuffs, Zach's scrunchie, Kaiden's portable speaker, Dominique's devil horns, Marcel's cufflinks, and Lucifer's pack of cigarettes.

"Why does he need handcuffs anyway?" Scarlett waved Marcel's handcuffs around.

Moniqua shrugged. "Kinky," She laughed.

They went downstairs to the girl's dorm to get the things but they see Isaac and Lucifer are already there.

Scarlett put her finger to her lips as a sign to keep quiet.

"Hey, mamour," Scarlett came up from behind Isaac and hugged him.

"Hey. Are those handcuffs?"

"Yup," She put them back into her bag.

Scarlett's distracting Isaac as Moniqua's getting some things from their rooms. They made small talk until Moniqua came back.

"Hey, Scar. Where did you put your snakeskin jacket?" Moniqua called.

"It's in my closet, in the snakeskin section!" She answered.

Moniqua came out of her room just as Lucifer got out of Angelique's room.

Moniqua raised her eyebrow at Lucifer, "Are those Angelique's mini wings?"

"Yup," He answered, holding the small ornament.

Moniqua went inside Caroline's room and grabbed her white peonies from her windowsill and walked out.

"Scarlett, I got Care's peonies, your jacket, your Fuschia colored lipstick, my red Louboutins, my diamond bracelet, Mona's leash, and Leo's skateboard. " Moniqua informed. "Huh, it seems like we missed some things, Scar."

"How'd you even get all those things that fast?" Lucifer asked, dazzled.

Moniqua shrugged, "I've been stealing my parent's credit card since I was a baby. Of course, I didn't need it but it was still fun."

"What are we missing?" Scarlett asked Moniqua.

"A condom," Moniqua read off the list, "In Dominique's size." Her eyes went wide as she looked at Scarlett.

Scarlett smirked, "Alright, XXL from Dom's room, it is."

Isaac narrowed his eyes at her, feeling a tad bit jealous, "How would you know Dominique's size?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Scarlett raised her eyebrow, "I sucked it."

Isaac's eyes looked cold for a moment but he knew that Scarlett was just teasing.

Isaac mirrored her smug expression, "You forget that I'm the one who taught you to lie, Viper."

"What made you think I was lying?"

"Because that was such a lame lie, Scar," Moniqua said, wearing a bored expression.

"Hey, where are Angelique and Dominique anyway?" Isaac asked as they walked to Dominique's room.

"Care and Zach gave us the same list but gave them a different one. They're off getting some flowers from the garden with Nat and Leo," Moniqua explained.

Scarlett opened the door and walked over to his bedside drawer and took out a condom.

"Got it, let's go."

"We won," Moniqua said as she high fived Scarlett. They hiked up the stairs to the main room to see Zach and Caroline kissing.

"What the fuck?!" Scarlett exclaimed, a smile on her face, excited for her best friend.

"Alright, just go already!" Caroline ushered the three remaining groups out. She turned back to Zach smiling at her weirdly. "What? Do I have something on my face?"

Zach shook his head, his eyes twinkling as he smiled. "No, you're perfect. I mean, not perfect. Nobody's perfect but you're close. No, wait, that sounds like an insult. I didn't mean it like that. You're great but you're not perfect because nobody is perfect. Then again, you are perfect but then it'll have to mean that you're nobody and that sounds worse," Zach rambled.

Caroline watched him with an amused smile. He'd never been one to get nervous. He always did well in presentations, dealing with the press. He's good with pressure but he only rambled when he was with her.

She knew he liked her though. But she thought, why not wait for him to shoot his shot? She always liked how nervous he gets when he's with her. How his cheeks and ears turn red every time she gets close.

Caroline laughed softly, "You're cute when you're nervous."

Zach's face got redder as he laughed nervously, "Yeah."

"Zach?" Caroline called out softly. "Do you have anything you want to tell me?"

Zach gulped. "Well...yes but no. I don't think I should but I want to," He said though it sounded more like a question.

"Okay? Then I'll start," Caroline shrugged. "I like you."

Zach gaped at her, then he smiled, big as he reached out to hold her hand, "I like you too, though I probably like you more."

"Nah, I probably like you more," Caroline giggled as Zach started to lean in.

Just as they were millimeters apart, Caroline looked at his ebony eyes and whispered, "Finally."

Zach smiled at her before closing the gap. After only a few seconds, not even a minute he heard Scarlett shout. "What the fuck?!"
