1 A Nightmare

"HEY WE NEED HELP THIS WAY," someone shouted from the front. Pushing through there he was the single man who was single handedly destroying the base. Eyes full of anger someone rushed in attempting to fight the man.

"HEY ELLIOT GET OUT, IT'S NOT WORTH IT," the man ignored it and began trying to knock the man back with his gauntlets. Every punch seemed to knock him back little by little, and every punch started to break his gauntlets bit by bit.

"Dammit," he muttered from under his breath. The man seemed to collect himself from the sudden attack and punched back, however Elliot attempted to block it, only for his gauntlet to break. He got knocked back to the wall and as the man stood over him, he attempted to raise his fist to hit him. His strength left him, every little thing that he tried was useless against this guy. With anger he lifted his middle finger up and just said, "Fuck you," as the man made him take his final breath...

The moment his eyes opened, he was in an empty void. Nothing was there, except for a single throne where the man that killed him sat. "This another one of your endless powers?" he said with a hint of anger in his voice.

"Oh… so this is the man that killed you." the man said, except the voice sounded different. His voice was a bit distorted and was also overlapped with his own.

"What are you? A monster?"

"Close, but now's not the time for that." With a snap of his finger Elliot woke. He took in deep breaths.

"God it feels nice to breathe again," he thought, wondering what had just happened. The sun was shining and he seemed to be in his childhood room. With his father they had moved after his mother had left. His body got up slowly and almost instinctively went to the bathroom to clean up. As he washed his face he thought, "Uhh… what time is it."

He went to his room to find the calendar, which read April 13th 2035. "So.. i'm 11 right now… so I've probably just recently learned about my power… " he mumbled. When a knock came on his door he jumped slightly and looked behind him to see his mother.

"Breakfast is ready," she said to him, "Come on out…. and don't forget to brush your teeth!"

Almost instinctively he just said, "OK." He went to wear something to go to school with and it felt strange. The fact that he was going to school at all was strange. He had dropped out of highschool to focus with his father's inventing team. Entering the kitchen he grabbed some eggs his mom made and simply put it with a sandwich. He ran out the door as he waved his mom goodbye.

He grabbed his bike and just drove to school, it all felt so strange to him. He felt himself die, but he was very admently alive. The pain lingered as a faint pain in his chest. "Am I in the past? Or is this my life flashing before my eyes. This feels nice…. Everything is exactly as I remember it. Nothing has changed… Maybe if I had remembered some lottery ticket I could get thousands, but how the hell did I time travel in the first place.." His mind then remembered, "WAIT. she's alive… and I can still talk to her… or warn her about that monster…" He then sped up the pace of his bike and as he arrived tired and out of breath, she seemed to arrive just the same time as him.

"Why are you rushing? You're not even close to being late,"

"It's just been a while, I missed talking to you,"

She looked confused, "Umm, we talked last yesterday. I don't know what you're talking about."

"Felt like longer you know?"

"Are you feeling alright?"

"I'm feeling… alive you know." As he said that, he began to find a way to kill Arthur Paragon, the man who had killed him. Of course being back at the age of 11 was a huge hindrance, but in his mind he could figure out something. "Yeah… I'll save them all… somehow…" he thought to himself as he entered his class. Over the course of a year he spent his time enjoying his life. It was something he hadn't felt in a while. He was able to spend his time just making memories and enjoying time with the people he had lost before. Spending time with his mother was nice because he had never spent much time with his mother before. So with the time he had now, he thought it would be nice to be with his mom before she left. However, when the time came, his mother wanted him to go with her.

"What no… I'd want to stay with dad…"

"I know, but… it's dangerous here and your father agrees. I don't want you to live in this area, so we're moving to Exolite."

"But…" all the excuses ran through his head one thing, anything that could let him stay. So with a heavy sigh, looking down at the floor he said, "Ok I'll go"

It felt surreal to him, moving out was something that he had done before, but it wasn't much farther away. Now he had to move roughly 50 miles away to a new town. It hurt waving goodbye to his nostalgia and life that he once lived. The problem now was, before he had a chance of guessing what could happen, now he had no clue.

Elliot began to think of how he was going to deal with this new problem, "Maybe I could run away from home…. no it's an hour drive by car I wouldn't be able to make it….. What if I just go there for my college years….. no during that time they were ready to fight anybody who posed as a double agent…... HEY! I could be a double agent, but then again….. that would betray their point. Then I'll make the hero world better than… can't be that hard…, right?"
