I have leveled up five times, killing around twenty low-leveled creatures, while defeating an Lv290 opponent only gave me nineteen levels.
If I was a goody-two-shoes I'd be like "Oh woe is me, this Game is trying to make me kill all of the world. I must escape this being of great evil." while having an inner crisis, on verge of breaking.
Well, fuck those guys.
That's the basic game rule in any RPG, only The Gamer and theirs matter, the end.
The rest of the world can be reduced to cinders, as long as it's not related to me, for all I care.
If something isn't mine, to begin with, why cry over losing it? that's just stupid! and worse is doing things when there is no benefit to gain whatsoever.
The "Heroes" and their morals frustrate the shit out of me, and I can't help but rant about how worthless they are.
Especially the no-kill rule of the likes of Batman and his boy scout.
Anyway, let's move on from the psychological aspect of killing and its effects on humans (rather those of weak will) minds, how pathetic Heroes are, and focus on how killing is the more efficient way of gaining Exp.
It's not something weird or special honestly, most would have expected the same thing.

This is something that will make all of my plans moving forward much more smoothly.
A way to gain rings with no sort of danger and it even comes in high variation is what can control the world of spirit masters.
It's like how The Spirit Pagoda became the pillar of spirit masters society.
By providing what was on demand the most, artificial rings.
Admittedly it can't be on open sale as of now because of one simple yet critical error.
From the drops of all my kills, only one had such reward, and that too is not of high age. Rings under 100 years old are a dream come true for the common people of the Doulou continent, but for anyone worth their salt it's yesterday's garbage.
This means a product with no mass production capability, at least for now, is sold only to a selected few.
It will make for far higher prices on the market, but Lower sell count, and in the long term that is not good.
It will be a successful business for sure, but not the most successful one.
It might be my perfectionist part saying all of this, but it's true nonetheless.
Unless... I find alternative ways to harvest these things.
Hmm, I wonder how I can repurpose some Dungeons to harvest grounds, without letting the world know of The Game.
Using my clan is a viable and good solution, but I have to guise it as a reward from the god that is testing me.

Speaking of mass production and the masses, I remembered something really important about spirit hall's lore.
The spirit hall has taken the responsibility of awakening all of the common people's spirit, and for free too. at the first glance, it might seem not that important, but in truth it is, and extremely so.
By doing such they gain huge amounts of PR with the masses, making all of their operations go far beyond the norms of what is possible, and increasing their influence both subtly and actively.
That my friend is the power of PR.
When people are behind you in your ordeals then the government is your bitch (unless it's dictatorship) and no one is likely to snoop around you.
Of course, getting your hands dirty is a good way of surpassing them too but that way will cut the duration of your regime as the top predator of the food chain rather short.
Anyway, the artificial rings will increase our influence over every single person that uses our product and those who want a taste of it, if we start to take over awakening spirits too then a tremendous increase in our clan's reputation in the Doulou continent is the least of the gains.
The more my clan's, and by extension my, standing raises, the easier our future conquest of this continent will become.
Ohh boy, if I had this power in my past then my company could have united the whole world by money and PR alone.

What welcomed me was the sound of a scream from every direction and a strong shaking of my room, or possibly the whole land.
What is going on here? was that an earthquake?!
I ran to my window, expecting to see a war going on (not literally), only to see the moon.
Close to the land.
Way too close.
Like ready to impact close.
And the next second I saw a silhouette in front of it, it looked very familiar too.
"WHERE IS MY KOTARO?!!" she screamed.
And the only thing that I could say was,
"Oh no..."
