Jiang Chen "Brother Ha Ling you are here?"

Ha Ling "I have something important to speak with you."

Jiang Chen "Very important?"

Ha Ling nodded his head. Jiang Chen asked Ha Ling to follow him and they went to Jiang Chen's courtyard.

Jiang Chen "Brother Ha Ling what is it that you want to speak to me so urgently."

Ha Ling "Brother Jiang we will be leaving to Rivers city in three weeks .You know that right?"

Jiang Chen "Yes I know about it. Are there some matters related to the trip that you want to discuss."

Ha Ling "Not exactly.But I want to confirm few things before that journey. I wish you can help me with them."

Jiang Chen "Is it about some techniques or?"

Ha Ling "You have already helped us enough with regards to techniques I was already able to reach small perfection in three moves I have learnt till now. My assimilation of two techniques is also going smooth I can feel that my combat abilities have improved tremendously that an ordinary third rank Martial Artist is no match for me I guess I can even fight a fourth grade Martial artist but I am not confident of victory."

Jiang Chen "You have over 70% chances to win. What does brother want to say to me."

Ha Ling "I don't think brother Jiang is that foolish or ill informed on what is happening behind his back."

Jiang Chen gave him a questioning look.

Ha Ling "Brother Jiang you know very well about the plots happening behind. We wanted to kill you when we are going on the trip discreetly and frame our rivals on it to bring Jiang family into picture.I am sure you are well aware of it."

Jiang Chen just smiled he didn't expect Ha Ling to speak it openly.

Ha Ling "So you know about it already."

Jiang Chen "I could guess it. But it is going to be failed however."

Ha Ling nodded he could guess that much how can Jiang family leave their greatest genius defenseless.

Jiang Chen "My third uncle is coming along with me. So to kill me those people have to use allocate many forces to achieve it and that many forces in action it will not go unnoticed whoever makes the move first will face combined wrath of three families even if he fails."

Ha Ling "I knew it you guys would have been prepared for it all along." he smiled.

Ha Ling " Even knowing all this you still helped us?"

Jiang Chen "Am I wrong, you came here you are not carrying any bad intentions either. I was just giving everyone a chance to realize that we are being frogs in well there is too much to Martial path we have so much to see. This city is just nothing."

Jiang Chen "I was hoping that at least few of you would see the big picture and I believe I din't make a mistake."

Ha Ling "Honestly speaking how much of a chance do I have to win against you? I am sure your real combat ability is higher than me but just want to know from your mouth."

Jiang Chen "You will be able to last over ten or so moves after that you are bound to loose."

Ha Ling "Only ten moves. Where am I lacking exactly? We are both 1st grade martial artists and I even hold an advantage over you in attribute well that is partial your other attribute held advantage over mine."

Jiang Chen "There are many factors to it also I am not that simple as you think. But I want to tell you that you are only one among our generation that can last that many moves in this city. In terms of combat ability I would rank you after me and there is significant gap between you and Bai Mo."

Ha Ling "Previously I might have been happy to know I am superior to Bai Mo. But now I feel he is insignificant before me. But it is good to know I moved ahead him."

Jiang Chen "You were always ahead of him I intentionally hid the fact about it. You never needed that extra technique to reinforce your one you were able to overcome it using your own instincts."

Ha Ling " You know already right that I will probably come to you."

Jiang Chen "I know there would be few changes but I didn't count the odds specifically. Actually I expected you to be least willing with your talents."

Ha Ling smiled at it "Brother Jiang will you be willing to take me into your group as well."

Jiang Chen was stunned at this "You really wanted to be someone's second you have a good chance of becoming a city lord."

Ha Ling "A claw of a dragon has more value than head of a tiger."

Jiang Chen "You sure regard me very high. I don't have problem accepting you as a brother for me. But we Jiang's value our brother hood a lot we are less in numbers."

Ha Ling "That is reason I came to you than search for some genius other place."

Jiang Chen smiled at it.

Jiang Chen "Hmm am I smelling a tiger from you?"

Jiang Chen "Is it River Moon tiger?"

Ha Ling smiled listening to this "No it is High Moon tiger level two beast."

Jiang Chen "Well it suits you well .Care it as your brother it has good growth rate too."

Ha Ling "Did you receive one too?"

Jiang Chen pointed to the huge cauldron on which fire and thunder attribute energy was rotating wildly around the egg.

Ha Ling "Wow is is duel attributed beast."

Jiang Chen just smiled at it.

Ha Ling "Wonderful. Bai Mo received a Lonny Lion."

Ha Ling "Both Shangguan twins received a falcon egg they are trying hard to hatch them."

Jiang Chen "Hmm good for them."

After that Jiang Chen and Ha Ling spoke for long time and they finally parted Ha Ling was very satisfied at this. The news of the meeting already reached other big families.

He got a surprise visit from Shangguan Ning'er that evening. She hasn't reached Martial Artist stage yet she got to know Jiang Chen came out of cultivation and she immediately want to see him.

Shangguan Ning'er "Brother Jiang Chen we haven't met for a month."

Jiang Chen smiled at her politely .

Jiang Chen "I heard you are trying to breakthrough to Martial Artist realm so I didn't want to disturb you."

Shangguan Ning'er blushed "I wouldn't be disturbed by brother Jiang it would help me more if brother Jiang was to assist me ."

Jiang Chen "Do you want me to?"

Shangguan Ning'er "No it is not needed now. I just want to ask brother Jiang if we can go take a stroll around the city."

Jiang Chen "Sure how can I dare to disappoint sister Ning'er."

Jiang Chen noticed hibernation ring on her finger.

Jiang Chen "Wow sister Ning'er got a beast of her own?"

Shangguan Ning'er saw the ring in her hand "It is empty now. I received an egg of Golden Falcon we were trying to hatch them but I am not able to do anything. I heard even Jiang Family made few acquirement I am sure brother Jiang's beast would be more powerful."

Jiang Chen "It is bit powerful but it is unborn yet."

Shangguan Ning'er "You also received an egg ?" she said disappointed she was hoping that Jiang Chen receive a powerful beast so that it can protect him in the journey. She wanted to tell everything to Jiang Chen on how even her family is making plans to kill him but she can't openly do it. She want Jiang Chen to be safe.

They were speaking randomly while taking stroll around.

Jiang Chen "It is better to form a bond with beasts when they are younger or new born grown up beast can only be tamed but can't form a soul bond."

Shangguan Ning'er "But we need them when we are week right when we are strong we will protect ourselves."

Jiang Chen "It is wrong method to think .We should see them as your own sibling. Beast are not just mounts or pawns they have their own will and thinking and intelligence. They will be as close as siblings to you when grown up and they are your most trusted partners."

Shangguan Ning'er "I know that I am just muddle headed now. I am not able to think anything straight so I came to see brother Jiang."

Shangguan Ning'er "Elder brother I recently heard that you brought me few robes I didn't receive any?" she asked seeing a clothe store nearby . He brought large amount of robes recently for Mo Qingcheng as well as twins. She got to know about it . She was blushing red when she heard about it. She always felt Jiang Chen's concern for her was genuine. She didn't doubt that.

Jiang Chen " You need them now ?" asked dumbfounded he has no problem giving them to her it is just it came all of sudden.

Shangguan Ning'er "No no I was just curious.When are you planning to give them to me."

Jiang Chen "Even I don't know why I brought them that day I just felt like doing so that day."

Shangguan Ning'er didn't doubt his words she know a bit about Jiang Chen, he just buys everything he likes and later thinks of purpose. That day when they came out first time he brought tons of things for no reason. He likes clean things very much.

As they continued taking stroll around they reached a blacksmith store of Jiang family.

Shangguan Ning'er "Brother Jiang why are we hear? Do you want to buy any weapon?" she asked confused. All the blacksmith stores only have Human grade weapons and common grade weapons Jiang Chen is already a Human grade weapon smith he can make what ever he wants. They are better grade than what are available in store.

All the geniuses from city use Jiang Chen's weapons only.( Mortal rank weapons can not be controlled by Martial disciples and artists easily they use lot of energy so until they reach certain cultivation Human ranked weapons are good.)

Jiang Chen "Not weapons?"

When manager who was handling the store saw Jiang Chen he immediately came and greeted him.

Manager "Young master you are here again." he was in completely awe he has seen the miracle before already Jiang Chen brought a cauldron from here and in two weeks he already received a medallion indicating Jiang Chen is 9th grade Human ranked alchemist.

Jiang Chen "Uncle I wan't two open type cauldrons medium sized no large sized."

Manager was confused at this "Young master you are closed cauldron specialist right?"

Jiang Chen "No this cauldrons are not for alchemist purpose.I need biggest ones."

Shangguan Ning'er was standing beside Jiang Chen puzzled. But she didn't speak. She was well aware Jiang Chen was high graded alchemist also he does many mad things .

In few minutes manager brought what Jiang Chen needed.

Jiang Chen "Uncle what is cost of it."

Manager "Young master are you joking how can I ask you payment?"

Jiang Chen "If it was for me I wouldn't have asked too. It was not for Jiang family so this should come at cost only."

Manager could see sternness in Jiang Chen's voice and told him."Young master they cost 100000gold coins each."

Jiang Chen swiftly made payment and walked out followed by Shangguan Ning'er who was walking behind him puzzled.
