4 4. Childhood & Inheritance

It's been 4 years since the Dork Lord was defeated. I'm currently 5 years old and I'm walking towards Gringrots. During these 4 years, my relationship with Nymphadora has increased tremendously. One thing I didn't expect was that she proposed to me, I made an excuse on the spot, forgetting to use my Occlumency shields to calm myself, and said that if she becomes a powerful witch, I'll marry her.

She doesn't mind if I call her Nymphadora, but since its too long, I just call her Dora. I've also been learning some wandless magic. At first, it was really difficult, but then it became so easy that it was like second nature. My mom even praised me as a genius. I've also been learning Defense Against The Dark Arts, Herbology, Charms, Transfiguration, History of Magic, Potions and about being a heir or lord to a house.

I also came to learn how broken my [Transcendent Talent] skill really was. What I learned in mere minutes took others months or even years to accomplish. I think my [Super Growth] skill also had a hand to play in this, but I'm not sure.

Now about my mom, her full name is Annabeth Ashley Arius. She's got her masters for DADA, Charms and Transfiguration. She was the one who taught those three, while aunt Andromeda was the one who taught me Herbology, History of Magic and Potions. The reason my mom only taught me DADA, Charms and Transfiguration was because she's a bit of a cluts.

Anyway, I am already at fourth year Hogwarts level of my lessons. So I thought that I should take a break, and that's what brings me to Gringrots. I'm receiving my lordship of Arius House.

"Look, Lux, it's Gringrots. This is where all the wizards keep their money and valuables from being stolen." Mom pointed at a tall white building that look majestic compared to the buildings surrounding it.

"You know, I really don't get why wizards entrusted all their money to goblins. From what I heard, they're really greedy." Although I know the answer, it's still nice to hear it from mom.

"That's because, goblins are very strong and protective, so nobody would dare try to steal from them."

Yeah right, from what I know, Quirrilmort will break into a vault in a few years. Then the Golden Trio will also break in after another few years.

"I think that someone will eventually break into Gringrots. Believe you me, they will." My mother knew I was smart, so if I stated something, it will happen. She's gotten over her surprise after a few years.

We entered Gringrots and walked straight to the teller. Wait, isn't he Ragnok from the movies? So this is the movie version then?

While my mom and Ragnok started talking, I looked around. The place looks exactly like the movie. Watching the movie and actually experiencing it are different things all together.

"Follow Lashgrip, he's your family manager." Ragnok broke me out of my thoughts. I followed mom who was following a goblin, he looked kinda scary with his sharp toothy grin. Although they look scary, the goblins are actually quite respectful to my house, so I honestly had no reason to fear them.

We followed him all the way to an office where he took something out of the desk. It was a box with a crest that looked like an upside down cracked tombstone. That was our house crest, it means that we are unkillable.

Lashgrip opened it only to reveal a black and crimson ring, it reminded me of my hair and eyes.

"Right, put this on young wizard. We'll let the ring decide if you're worthy of being the Lord of House Arius." Lashgrip handed me the ring. I could feel powerful magic radiating from it, I glanced at mom to get confirmation. She just nodded her head with a smile.

Taking a deep breath, I slowly put the ring on. I instantly felt a rush of magic enter and circulate throughout my entire body, it was a pleasant feeling. With a mental click, I felt my mind immediately connect to the runes of our mansion. I had perfect control over it, even the house elves.

"It seems that the ring has deemed you worthy, congratulations Lord Arius. Please follow me to get a checkup for any magical diseases." Before Lashgrip could leave the office, I called out to him, much to his and mom's surprise.

"Um, before you leave, can I request of you to do the inheritance test?" This raised mom's eyebrow. Lashgrip just grinned as if he found something amusing.

"I see no reason not to. Sit down while I fetch the tools." Lashgrip walked outside the office with a skip in his step.

When he was gone, mom turned towards me with a confused expression.

"What made you bring up the inheritance test. You know that all wizards don't bother with it."

"Exactly mom, because no wizards do the inheritance test, I want to do it. Just call it a gut feeling, but something will definitely happen." I grinned at her. She started smiling at my childish face.

It took a few minutes, but Lashgrip came back with a big box. He set it on the table and opened it. Inside was a stone bowl with runes on the edges, next to it was a ceremonial knife which also had runes on it. He handed the knife to me.

"All I require is 3 drops of blood in this bowl to perform the inheritance test." I nodded my head and stabbed my finger with the knife.

After exactly 3 drops of blood, the bowl started shining. Lashgrip picked up a paper that was near the bowl. As he read the contents, his eyebrows flew up as if there was no tomorrow. I had to hide my smirk really hard.

"Heir to Peverell House, claimable. Heir to Gryffindor House, claimable. Heir to Ravenclaw House, claimable. Heir to Hufflepuff House, claimable. Heir to Slytherin House, claimable. Heir to Wyllt House, claimable. Do you wish to claim your heritage?"

"I, Luxion Arius, claim my heirage of House Peverell, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin and Wyllt."

A burst of magic started pouring into me. It felt painful, but it quickly vanished. I suddenly felt multiple buildings that I was connected to. The biggest building was sitting on a massive ley line, it was hogwarts. Her runes were worn down after so many years without proper care, they needed to be fixed.

I quickly snapped out of my daze and looked at a grinning Lashgrip.

"I need you to prevent the news that I was the one who claimed those lordships."

"Right away, Lord Arius Peverell Gryffindor Ravenclaw Hufflepuff Slytherin Wyllt."

"Just stick with Arius."

"Understood, Lord Arius." With that, Lashgrip scuffled away with an evil cackle.

I sat on my mother's lap, who was just grinning at me.

"Let the birth of chaos begin."
