Father Coming Home

My name is Utsukush no Lilly, and I used to be Tadashi Akira, a human male who was recently reborn as the Vampire Princess. Here's a quick rundown of my human life.

(5-year-old Tadashi Akira's point of view)

My mother, Tadashi Aki, and my younger sister, Tadashi Yui, live with me. We reside in a medium-sized mansion in Ockress City's center sector.

A knock came at the door.

My mother went to find out who it was, and I stood on the stairwell, observing. Through the glass, I noticed a tall man's shadow. My mother was astonished when she answered the door and immediately began crying.

"I am overjoyed that you arrived safely home." Tadashi Aki said this while crying and smiling.

"Who is it, mom?" I asked with curiosity.

"He's your father, Kaito, who has been away on a mission hunting monsters and vampires." my mother continued, wiping her tears away with a smile.

The man was tall and muscular, with two katanas on his sides, short black hair, and blue eyes that matched mine.

"Hello," Tadashi Kaito remarked, smiling.

"Hello, dad," my sister and I exclaimed joyfully.

We entered the kitchen and took a seat. My father began to tell my sister and me stories about his experiences as a Vampire Slayer of the High Expert Rank.

My mother chose to make lunch while my father told us his stories because it was 12:15 p.m.

"My father motivated me to become a Vampire Slayer when I was six years old, and I enrolled in the Vampire Slayer Academy. I was one of the best students in my class, so I had a well-known teacher accompany me to training. After graduating from the academy, I began to rack up kills and gradually improved my rank through numerous challenges. I took on other slayers and gained fighting experience, eventually getting to where I am now ". With a smile, Tadashi Kaito said.

"Woah, I'm also interested in becoming a vampire slayer; could you train me?" With a hopeful grin on my face, I said.

With a smile, Tadashi Kaito responded, "Yes, we can start when we're done eating."

We had rice and curry. I quickly finished my meal and went outside to wait for my father.

My father appeared, wielding a katana and daggers.

"Are we going to practice with both?" With a puzzled expression, I said.

"I'll help you with physical and agility strengthening tomorrow," Tadashi Kaito replied honestly, "but today we're improving skill in sword mastery and dagger mastery."

"Yes," I answered cheerfully.

My father held the daggers, so I started with the katana first. My father advised me to strike him since fighting someone improves with proficiency and future improvement.

I thought I had advanced by one level after seven hours of sparring. My father decided to call it a day after today's training, so we went inside, ate dinner, and went to bed.

I got up at 7:00 a.m. the next day and went downstairs. My arms hurt for an hour, but I knew it was exhausting because it was part of my training. My mother was making Miso Shiru, and my father and younger sister were playing in the backyard. When I went to speak with him, he told me that we would begin training after breakfast.

After my mother finished preparing breakfast, I quickly ate all of my food and went outside to swing the katana while waiting for my father to finish eating. He quickly finished his meal and came to assist me.

He told me that he set up a course this morning to train me while wearing the cuffs and running a difficult course. I thought I was going to die the first time I tried it. After my fifth attempt, I began to improve my pace and reduce my errors. I felt like I was making significant progress, but I hit a roadblock, and my progress became less significant.

He instructed me to fight him with daggers. While he was utilizing the katana this time, I rapidly advanced to the next level in my daggersmanship.

During this time, he mentioned awakening briefly, and I became intrigued and inquired, "When am I going to be awakened?" With a puzzled gaze, Tadashi said.

"When you turn six, you'll be awoken." With a smile, Tadashi Kaito said.

"Yeah," Tadashi Akira cries, bouncing with joy.

We wrapped up the day with a couple more hours of practice. We ate dinner at 6:00 p.m., and due to physical and mental exhaustion, I went to bed early.

I awoke the next day and went downstairs to ask my father if we were training today. He declined since I required recuperation and because we were going to the market today.

I decided to go to the market with my father and younger sister to buy food and magic supplies. We also purchased some magic equipment.

With an inquisitive expression, I inquired, "When are you going to teach me magic spells?" while we were strolling.

"I'll start teaching you tomorrow," Tadashi Kaito replied, his face soft.

"All okay, that's fine." Tadashi Akira expressed his happiness.

We continued shopping until noon, when we stopped for lunch at a cafe. I asked him several questions, and he responded as honestly as he could. We headed straight home after we finished dining.

The Vampires and Monsters attacked us while we were heading home. My father instructed me to seek refuge with my younger sister.

We discovered a spot beneath the deck of a house that could accommodate two young children with some additional room. I let my younger sister go first so I could get something to cover us. Before I could conceal myself, a vampire spotted me. So I took both daggers from the bag we had just purchased and began attacking her.

It was a tall vampire with empty black hair and red eyes who had a blood thirsty expression and was always leaking blood from her mouth, indicating that she was obsessed with blood.

I used the special effect on the daggers to block the spell, causing me to fly backwards and shatter my legs in the process.

The vampire starts walking slowly and laughing, mocking me with its movement.

It's only five meters away. I tried to move, but both of my legs were broken. I'm dizzy and slipping between consciousness and unconsciousness.

Even though he was the weakest of the vampires who attacked, I began to believe there was no way I could battle on par with it with my current power.

I devised a plan to heal my fractured leg long enough for someone to arrive to assist me. I began to recall a spell that my mother had used previously. She claims it may quickly heal fractured bones to some extent.

I swiftly cast the spell after recalling my mother's instructions on mana manipulation. My legs were almost completely healed after the magic worked better than my mum had predicted.

By the time the vampire was three meters away, my legs had recovered sufficiently. I came up with a plan to stall the vampire, but it was still difficult to maneuver.

With one swing from his katana, a hunter sliced off the head of the Vampire.

"Are you doing okay?" The hunter inquired, concerned.

"My legs are broken, but I'm alright." With a sad grimace, I said.

"OK, I'll take care of your legs." With a smile, the hunter stated.

"Thanks". I expressed my gratitude by saying.

The hunter inquired, "Is there anyone else with you?"

Yes, my sister is down there," I responded, pointing to my sister's location with a troubled face.

The hunter remarked as he walked up to where I pointed, "I'll go check on her condition."

He went over to my sister and examined her for any injuries. She seemed well, but she had a terrified expression on her face.

"Now that all the Vampires and Monsters have been dealt with, you can leave and return home." With a smile, he said.

I departed with my sister and began driving back home. I knew my father would have to assist in the rescue of the injured and the reconstruction of the destroyed structures.

Five thousand residents and one thousand hunters were killed, we later learned. Many people believed there would be another attack, prompting terror among ordinary citizens.

The citizens were eventually relieved by the Vampire Slayer Union and the Hunters Union. They were able to complete the reconstruction of the destroyed buildings after a week.

My father returned with a weary countenance after a week of training at home as my father had instructed.

"How did it turn out?" With a puzzled expression on my face, I inquired.

"After a week, we were finally able to save the injured, restore the walls, and calm the inhabitants," my father remarked, almost collapsing.

"Are you okay, father?" I expressed my concern.

"I'm alright; I'm just really tired. Could you please inform your mother to come and assist me to my bed?" With a sad expression on his face, my father inquired.

"I'll be right back," With a serious expression on my face, I said.

I asked her to assist me in carrying him to his bed, which we did in five minutes.

My father was thoroughly rejuvenated the next morning after a day's rest. I told him about my natural ability to cast magic without the use of a casting circle or chanting.

"How did you discover you possessed this talent?" With an inquisitive expression.

"My sister and I found a spot beneath a deck and planned to hide behind a sheet of metal, but a Vampire spotted me before I could conceal, so I took the two daggers we got today and tried to defend myself. The vampire used magic to throw me backwards, shattering both of my legs in the process. I remembered the spell my mother used to partially repair her broken leg a few months ago and tried to cast it to heal my legs as much as possible ". With a chilly sweat running down my cheeks, I said.

"It's great that you're doing well, but don't overdo it by spending too much mana." With a soft face, his father said.

"Few," I muttered very quietly.

"Did you say something?" His father had inquired.

"No," I said, my face slightly concerned.

"All right, since we were just talking about magic," his father remarked with a smile, "I'll teach you a magic technique to increase your mana."

"All right," I answered, a smile on my face.

I began using a technique known as "condensed mana gathering." I initially thought it was a strange name for a mana gathering technique, but after practicing it, I discovered that it makes mana denser than usual techniques, allowing stronger mana to gather in the mana crystal in my abdomen.

I was looking forward to absorbing the mana once I realized this. When I first began to absorb the mana, I noticed that it was chaotic, but denser than the mana I had seen my father utilize after using the condensed mana gathering technique.

(A vampire's POV)

Meanwhile, a young woman who appeared to be nineteen years old but was actually a two hundred year old vampire, Low Rank Noble, was hiding in the forest near Tadashi Akira's residence. She wore a black outfit with crimson eyes and had a slender figure with medium-sized breasts and silver hair.

The vampire queen tasked her with keeping an eye on the Tadashi family and, if possible, capturing Tadashi Akira alive. She continued to inform the high-ranking nobles of the Tadashi family's actions.

including his ability to manipulate magic at the age of five.

We'll all be killed if we don't arrest him before he becomes too powerful, she warned.

(Tadashi Akira's POV)

"What kind of mana is that, son?" With a puzzled expression on his face, my father inquired.

I pondered for a moment before responding to my father's query.

"It is chaotic mana!" With a smile, I said.

When I looked up at my father, I noticed his surprised expression and thought it was odd how surprised he seemed.

I noticed my father looking in a specific direction. With a strange expression on my face, I looked in that way.

"What exactly are you staring at?" With a puzzled expression, I inquired.

"I thought I sensed someone observing us, but it vanished after I sensed them, so it was probably just my imagination." My father said, his genuine feelings hidden.

"Oh," I answered, glancing in the same direction as his father, hoping to pick up on something.

"I'll teach you basic fire, wind, lighting, earth, water, and healing magic spells, son." With a stern expression on his face, my father stated.

"Alright". I stated it with a smile on my face.

My father began teaching me the fundamentals of fire magic, beginning with the fireball spell. It saves mana for the spell because I can generate magic without having to cast it.

The first time I cast the fire spell, I spent too much mana, resulting in an explosion that left a massive crater in the ground.

I failed the next several times as well, but it didn't explode like the first time, so I've progressed since then.

I finished training at 6:00 p.m., ate dinner, and went to bed early because I had been working out all day.

The next day, I got up at 5:00 a.m. and decided to go practice the fireball spell before everyone else did.

I had the uneasy impression that someone was monitoring me from behind as I was training. I continued gazing in the area where I believed they were looking at me, but the icy sensation vanished and I returned to training.

I eventually mastered the fire ball after thirty minutes of practice, allowing me to manage the size of the flame and the amount of mana used.

"Now that I've perfected it, I'll practice swinging the katana and dagger." I said that with pride in my voice.

I began swinging my katana at the dummy and gradually improved my skills. After that, I felt that I couldn't get much better, so I started practicing with daggers on the dummy and saw a lot more improvement than with the katana.

I opted to run the course to enhance my strength, stamina, and agility after no longer improving on either.

(My Father's POV)

My father decided to look into who he had sensed in the forest the day before. When he sensed the person looking from deep within the forest, he felt a peculiar and foreboding vibe.

Tadashi Akira had only been practicing for thirty minutes when it was 5:30 a.m. Tadashi Keito was now on his way to the location where he had detected the ominous aura the day before.

He smelled blood and assumed the person watching his son was a vampire. He wanted to track them down and find out why they were watching his son if at all possible, and then kill them. If he didn't obtain an answer, he would torment her before killing her.

I saw her fifty meters away from where he had sensed her the day before. He employed a quiet technique to stop himself from moving or breathing. He walked towards her, emotionless. With the appraisal skill, he appraised her present status.

[Amira] Mid Diamond Tier - Low Vampire Noble]

"Can you tell me why you've come here?" He inquired, his face tense.

She stopped in place for a few seconds when she stared at me.

"Can you tell me how you got here?" She exclaimed, her face tense.

I got an uneasy feeling shortly after, so I assumed she was attempting to utilize her evaluation skill on me.

Her terrified and surprised expression was much more pronounced. I assumed she was worried, since she couldn't appraise my status with me being multiple tiers higher than her.

I sensed her aura and deduced that she was a High Rank vampire with the status of a Low-Rank Vampire Noble due to her attire.

"I'm not going to tell you anything; I'll just give you two options. The first option is to tell me what I want to know and then die, or to die now and die painfully. Which is it?" With a solemn expression on his face, he stated.

She appeared to be debating whether to betray the plan and expose it, or to die and keep the scheme hidden.

"After thinking about my queen, I decided on the second alternative," she stated without hesitation.

"Loyal until the end, as one would expect of a vampire nobility." I said that with an irritated tone.

I teleported directly in front of her and hit her in the stomach, knocking her out cold.

I carried her into a secretly constructed dungeon where I tortured opponents for information. With chains and cuffs around her legs, arms, and neck, I fastened her to the wall.

"You brought this on yourself," I remarked after waiting till she awoke. I'm wearing a solemn expression on my face.

The vampire struggled to break free, but the cuffs had weakening needles piercing through her flesh.

"I'm going to torture you in order to collect the information I require and you'll be killed in ten days ". With a grin on my face, I said.

After saying what I needed to say, I began torturing her with all of my most vicious and effective tactics.

The female vampire noble had just died ten days after being tortured for ten days. I didn't receive any useful information, so I opted to burn her body after looking through her storage space for any hints.

My father was away for ten days, so I continued to train during that time. During those last ten days, he taught me about wind, water, earth, lightning, ice, and healing in his spare time.

[Chaos Mana Manipulation] - A almost unattainable natural skill that allows you to easily manipulate Chaotic Mana. Allows the user to do magic without the use of a casting circle or chant.

"Cool," I remarked, surprised, now understanding why he could perform healing magic so effortlessly back then.

After verifying my stats, I proceeded to tell my father about my current situation, and he was once again surprised by the intrinsic skills [Chaos Mana Manipulation] and [All attribute Affinity].
