6 Receiving a Mission

The mission that attracted Lin Yun was an escorting mission , this type of mission is usually accepted by a whole mercenary groupe.However , this mission didn't require that the individuals that accepted the mission to belong to the same groupe .

"Mission : Escort the Alchemist Bai Xiaomo to the outer layer of the Endless Mist Forest

Requirement :Ten Body Refinements ,Five Martial Disciples and Two Martial masters with clear background check.

The mission rank was E , However , Lin Yuan wasn't going to take the mission alone which will minimize the risk .The Alchemist who issued the mission required a background check.

Bai Xiaomo was the granddaughter of Lin Clan's Yellow grade alchemist Bai Weng.

So the Background check meant that only the Li Clan members can accept this mission which Lin Yuan won't have to worry about working with strangers on a mission .

Lin Yuan headed to the counter as he told the elder responsible for the merit Hall about his choice . Each mission was identified with a different number to make accepting and verifying that the mission is done easier.

"Elder , I want to accept the escort mission with the identification number 4578416584". sid Lin Yuan as he showed his Lin Clan Identification token .

"kid , you got lucky . This mission has a pretty good reward." the merit Hall Elder said as he gave Lin Yuan a token .

"This is the mission 's token ,this is the proof that you've taken this mission. you must not lose it".

Lin Yun accepted the mission's token as he asked the Elder about when will the mission starts .

"The mission will start once the members fulfill the requirement".

This mission was a rewarding one , However the requirement didn't allow rogue cultivators to participate in it ,which slowed down the recruitment .

Lin Yuan learned from the Elder that once the requirement are met , they will be notified through the mission's token.

the mission's token were embedded with a magical formation that allow communication between the owners of the tokens as well as communication with the Merit Hall in a certain distance .

since all the mission's member are within the Mist City , they can communicate with each other using it .

Lin Yuan thanked the merit hall elder as he headed out of the merit hall toward his residence .

He knew that the missions requirement might be met in few hours .

"I guess , that we will start the mission tomorrow morning . I need to be prepared well for this mission ." muttered Lin Yuan to himself .

Once he arrived at his residence , Lin Yuan asked Aunt Mei to prepare a backpack for him .

Lin Yuan knew that a mission was different than a camp , so his backpack needed to be a light one. a heavy backpack will hinder his mouvements and fighting capabilities .

Aunt Mei knew that Lin Yuan was taking his first mission , so she brought a sturdy backpack made from beast skin . the backpack was a waterproof one .

Lin Yuan packed some Ointment,healing and recovering potions , some food and salt. The Ointment can be used to treat external injuries , potions were inferior to pills however there effect can't be denied for low level cultivator and it can rapidly help in restoring strength and healing some light internal injuries .

As for salt , well Lin Yuan knew that in the forest their main food will be beast meat since it can help them recover their strength and salt is needed to remove the raw taste of meat .

although , the main source of food in the forest is the beast's meat , Lin Yuan took some food because he knew that there are places where beast meat will attract other beasts which may be dangerous in most times .

The Library of the Lin Clan contains the different manuals in the Lin Clan as well as different records about the continent.

The Lin clan's Library was in the centre of the Lin Clan courtyard , it was a five storeys building . the five storeys represented the Body Refinement , Martial Disciple , Martial Master , Martial Grandmaster and Martial Ancestor . As each cultivation realm has access to the corresponding floor .

Lin Yuan's cultivation was the 8th layer of Body Refinement , so he could only read the record and manuals in the first storey . If a Lin Clan member wants to read a higher storey a certain merit points are needed .

Lin Yuan only wants to read about the Outer area of the Endless Mist Forest, This type of information are not secret so he can easily read about them on the first floor .

After Lin Yuan arrived at the Library he presented his identification token to the guards , he was allowed to enter quickly after his identification got verified .

"you are only allowed to see manuals in the first storey and you are not allowed to take manuals out secretly".

The guard warned Lin Yuan .

Although the guard knew Lin Yuan's identity as the son of the Clan Leader , it was his job to warn all the new members who enter the Library.

This was Lin Yuan first time coming to the Library ,before the spirit awakening ceremony, all the knowledge he received and the different arts he knew were given in classes.

In the beginning journey of cultivation ,The Lin Clan set a teacher to each groupe of juniors because learning alone wa impossible .

Only after the awakening ceremony do the Clan allows the juniors to learn alone .
