1 Lin Yuan
Lin Yuan was sitting on the side of a little road in Mist City cursing his own bad luck while gazing at the blue sky . Due to having a strong body since he was born and fast progress in cultivation by achieving the 8th layer of the Body Refinement , both his parents and Clan members were hoping he could awaken a strong martial Spirit and bring honor to himself and his Clan when he becomes a great martial artist .
Unfortunately , when he went this morning to the Spirit Temple All he could do was becoming the laughing stock of his peers because he was unable to awaken his martial Spirit .
On the Endless Mist Continent , one needs to awaken their martial Spirit in order to breakthrough the Body Refinement peak and achieving the fabled martial way. where the martial artist is capable of communicating with the Heaven and Earth and absorbing the spiritual Qi into their DanTian in order to advance in their cultivation realm .
There exists too many types of martial Spirits to count , but basically almost all of the well-known martial spirits in the Endless Mist Continent can be tied to one of the major categories : Elemental , Beast or Spiritual . an Elemental martial Spirit allows their users to control one or more element such as the Five Basic elements : Wood , Fire , Metal , Earth , Water . or several other elements such as : Ice , wind ,thunder etcetera . different to elementals, Beast martial spirits are all martial spirit related to beasts and allows their owners to morph his or a part of his body into a beast .
Elemental and Beast martial artists belong to the most common type of martial spirit on the continent .
The rest of martial spirits belongs to the Spiritual martial spirit category .
However , the same type of a martial spirit doesn't necessarily mean it has the same strength and potential .So a different type of classification was found where all martial spirits are classified according to their potential
into : Yellow , Black , Earth and Heaven martial spirit .These ranks were divided even further into : Early ,Middle ,Late and peak grades .
and Early Yellow Martial spirit's limit is the Middle of Martial Disciple while
A peak Yellow Martial spirit's limit is the peak of Martial Master Realm .
the Lin Clan members were hopefully expecting that Lin Yuan will be the first in the past two hundred years to have a Black Martial Spirit and Breaking through the Martial Ancestor Realm in the Lin Clan stabilizing its position as one of the four Respected Clans in Mist City for the next three hundred years .
Unfortunately , sometimes Winds blow counter to what ships desire and things don't work the way you hope . Lin Yuan didn't even awaken a Martial Spirit and his Title as the genius of Lin Clan and Mist City turned into a joke and brought nothing but ridiculing eyes upon the fallen genius .

"Yuan Er , your Grandfather is getting old and he won't be able to support the clan in few decades . I hope you could awaken a Black Martial Spirit and attain the Martial Ancestor Realm before your grandfather's lifespan come to an end . otherwise our Lin clan will face a perilous future in Mist City.".
said Lin Fang to his son with a serious face .
"Don't worry Father , I won't disappoint you ." replied Lin Yuan with a smile.
"With the resources of our Lin Clan ,a Peak grade yellow martial Spirit is enough for to break through the Martial Ancestor Realm , with young master's talent our Lin Clan will prosper in the next hundred year ." the middle aged Elder Lin Hai said .
"it's time , let's start the ceremony " said Lin Fang .
"yes, Clan Leader " replied Lin Hai as he started unsealing the formation surrounding the Spirit Temple . After finishing the preparation he added : "Who wants to try first ??" .
several young men and women were nervously waiting showed some hesitation as no one wants to try first afraid that they might not awaken a martial spirit .
"Yun'er , you go first " Lin Hai said to his son .
"yes, father. " Hearing his father's words Lin Yun , a sturdy sixteen years old boy with short black hair, brown eyes and round face replied as he moved toward the center of the formation and sat cross legged , suddenly his body started to emit a yellow halo and a yellow spiritual Qi rushed toward his body improving his cultivation realm from the 7th to the 9th layer of body refinement .
"an Earth Element 's Yellow Martial Spirit , and judging from the density of the halo it has to be High grade !! " said Lin Hai with a joyful voice as he stared at his son absorbing Qi .
after a while Lin Yun stood up with the smile showing his joy .
"who is Next ? " said Lin Fang with a smile on his face as the Lin Clan leader, he was very happy to see the next generation of Lin Clan brimming with talents.
Lin Fang was not disappointed with the result of the younger generation .

Lin Yuan's quick breackthrogh at the Body Refinement is proof of his strong willpower which is an essentiel in having a strong spirit .
Lin Yuan sat cross legged in the centre of the formation as he adjusted his breath and tried to communicated with his own spirit trying to awaken it , just as he was trying to drive the spiritual Qi to his Dantian , he noticed that no matter how many threads of spiritual Qi he absorbs it disappears .
"Impossible ! ". cried Lin Hai as watched Lin Yuan unable to absorbs Qi to his DanTian , as an Elder of the Lin Clan he knew that the failure of the young master to awaken his Martai Spirit doesn't only mean shaming the Clan , it is more of all of the Lin Clan younger generation for having no genius for the next few years .
Lin Fang was astonished as well , never did he expect that his son didn't awaken a martial spirit .
"Clan Leader ,I believe that the young master is just too young he can try in the next years , he might awaken his martial spirit ".
Lin Fang clenched his fists tightly , but he didn't said anything .He knew that it was nearly impossible that a person can awaken his martial spirit in the second time unless he consumed a treasure of Heaven and Earth .
