Inside a clan meeting right now, we have the clan-head, Lin Mingyun, and the various elders sitting around a table. They are currently discussing what just happened inside the forest.

"Clan head, is it really wise to not pursue what just happened in the forest? what if the other kingdoms get the treasure?" asked a worried elder. "You don't have to worry Elder Yun, the probability that there was even a treasure there is low," answered cooly by the clan head with a smile.

"My father is right you know?" a voice disrupted their meeting. It came from the corner of the room. There you will find a beautiful young woman, wearing a traditional Hanfu. "Young miss," all the elders bowed towards her. "Yuan, glad you could join us in this meeting," Honorable father," answered the young woman.

He then turned to Yuan Mingyun and asked her " What about you, Young miss? Is there really no other way for us to prevent this? Do we really have to kill innocents to save ourselves?" Tian Long is staring at Yuan with an intense look. "That will be depending on the vote of the council." She said coldly, also glaring at Tian Long now.

Tian Long looked at her, then looked down and sighed. "Then count me out of the voting, I don't want any kind of karma for killing thousands of innocent mortals" Tian stands up and gets out of the meeting room. Some elders are shaking their heads at their young elder. Someone was also going to stop him from going but the clan head spoke up. "Leave him, he is still too young for this kind of matters," said Lin.

Yuan was also looking at the door where Tian went trough, 'That is why we can't be together, Tian. You are too righteous and kind for the world of cultivators,' Yuan thought about her childhood friend. Addressing the elders Yuan started "In the south of our kingdom, there are multiple villages. I can't see from which village will our calamity come from. My father and I called this council meeting to determine what should we do. Do we search for the calamity or destroy all of the villages to avoid it completely?"

"Young miss, if I may?" asked an elder. Yuan nods towards them. "Why can't we just search for them one by one? I can't seem to find the reason for killing all of them if there is only one calamity?"

"I also thought that but in my divinations, there would always be a trigger for the calamity come. Instead of 5 years though, 10 years will be our limit," "Then doesn't that say that whichever the case, it will be worthless, and we will still be destroyed?"

The elders and the clan head's faces also hardened because of her answer. If a future goes black like what the young miss has seen, then that means that the future is uncertain. Something is going to happen that may or may not throw the future in shamble. This is a huge gamble as they won't know what will be the result of their decision. If it works though, they might even get a boon from it.

"This is a hard decision to make as we are using the villages to create our products. Although we have the means to get resources, we still have to create our own. But the alternative is our kingdom being destroyed. I will give you 3 hours to decide. Please do not leave this room without making a decision."
