3 3: Toshikoshi’s Ramen shop

Kaito didn't take the bus home after the end of the school day, the orphanage wasn't that far so he could easily walk back within an hour or so.

Walking along the sidewalks, Kaito spotted a small ramen shop not far away, the old Kaito would usually eat here.

The kids at the orphanage didn't get payed, but Kaito had done many side hustles, like mowing grass and helping around neighborhoods to gain money.

He wasn't rich but he definitely had enough money to go buy some ramen.

"I'm looking forward to the future" Kaito smiled as he stared at the glowing sky as the sun slowly started to set in the horizon, the streets were buzzing with people.

The ramen shop was rather small, but Kaito had come here many times before, and had came to known the boss of the place.

The small restaurant was called "toshikoshi ramen"

It wasn't only Kaito, many of the older students came here after school to hang out, it was a great spot to relax at.

"Hello mr. Toshikoshi" Kaito said as he pushed the door open.

A man past his prime looked up with a bright smile "Kaito, you're here" toshikoshi said with a smile, he then continued to serve the customers.

Mr. toshikoshi was was a cheerful man, he loved making ramen and always had a bright smile.

Kaito was able to easily become friends with this nearly old man.

"Ah Kaito, back again I see" a feminine voice was heard as a young lady in an apron appeared behind toshikoshi in the open kitchen.

This was toshikoshi's wife, Kaito had never talked deeply with these two so he didn't know their first names.

They both had a daughter who was studying at a medical school.

After exchanging a few words Kaito took a seat at an empty table, he was really hungry, the school food wasn't enough for him.

" I'm guessing you want the same thing as always" mrs. toshikoshi said with a smile as she held a pack of small notes.

"Yes ma'am but make that double please" Kaito said with a smile and held up two fingers.

After taking his order they got to work, there weren't much people in the restaurant, it was usually flocked In the morning.

Kaito also didn't see any middle school students besides him currently.

" so Kaito, U.A academy's new term is starting soon" mr. toshikoshi said as he fixed up ramen for another customer.

They both knew Kaito had a dream to become a hero, you could get to know a lot about someone if you have a chance to be alone with them.

There were some nights where Kaito had snuck out the orphanage just to come here, which was really dangerous.

The toshikoshi's both knew about kaito's dreams, yet it would be impossible without a quirk, they really pitied the child for not having a quirk.

"This is amazing as always" Kaito said with a slight smile as he stared at his huge ramen bowl, this was twice the size he usually bought.

Bang!

A loud ruckus was heard at the front of the restaurant as a loud feminine scream was heard.

"W-what?" Kaito turned around to see a man with a scar on his face push mrs. Toshikoshi to the side.

"What's goin on"

"Is it a criminal?"

The other few people in the ramen shop were startled, this all happened way too fast.

"All of you shut the f*ck up, any one of you make a word and I'll kill everyone here" the villain said hastily with a heavy breath.

Kaito noticed the villain continuously shift his eyes towards the door with nervousness.

"Who would rob a ramen shop?" Kaito acted confused as he slowly stepped back.

The criminal only had two guns in his hand, they could easily take anyone's life.

"W- why are you doing this?" Mr. toshikoshi didn't understand why any criminal would suddenly rob his restaurant, and at such a time too.

"Dear are you okay" he helped up his struggling wife.

"Old man, I'll kill you both I told you to be quiet" the criminal nearly roared but held back, also as if scared to make too much noise.

Kaito analyzed the situation, if he wanted to do this without anyone getting hurt then he would have to take out the scar-face criminal in one slash.

If he missed or didn't do enough damage then many people might lose their lives because of him.

[Chaos Breathing~First form: Astral Sword]

Kaito sucked in a huge breath as his lungs widened, quickly pulling in the oxygen around him.

A dark blade covered in a black void-like energy materialized in his hands.

Pss!

Kaito released a heavy breath of air as he clenched his teeth, he felt a strange energy from the Astral Sword seep into his body as his physical power rose tremendously.

Boom!

In a black flash of light, Kaito disappeared from behind the group of people, the wooden tiles where he was standing had broken into pieces.

Swoosh!

Kaito's body rushed out like a bullet as his sword came crashing down.

"D-dont kill him, d-don't kill him" Kaito said in shock as his sword descended atop the scar-faced villain.

Boom!

Another explosion rang out as kaito's sword seemed to become blunt as it slammed on the head of the scar-faced villain.

For the normal people, all of this happened in a split second as two random explosions rang out.

It was only a few seconds later before they all realized what had happened as they saw the 14- year old young man standing atop the criminal with a glowing black sword.

"K-Kaito?" The toshikoshi's we're shocked as they noticed it was Kaito, which confused them, since Kaito had no fighting quirk.

"Haha, I guess I awakened just Now" Kaito said with a slight laugh.

The restaurant's atmosphere was still tense.

"Thank you Kaito" mr.toshikoshi said as he stood up, tears forming at the corner of his eyes.

If Kaito hadn't done anything he couldn't even imagine what would happen in his restaurant.
