1 Prologue: Kane

Chaos. Panic. Anxiety. Fear. Despair. All kinds of emotions rampages his mind as Kane dragged his body towards the huge tree towards his right. Night was on its way to power, the sun already setting on the horizons. Darkness had spread causing Kane's mind to become even more chaotic, cries of wolves in he background made things worse.

"What the hell is going on? Where am I? Whats happening to my body?", the 16 year old screamed at the top of his lungs. His body now testing on the tree, he anxiously scanned around. His brain trying to find a semblence of similarity between the scenary before him and the last thing he could remember.

"My room. Bed. Sleeping", he began to mumble as he tried hard to bring back rationality. Kane remembered clearly how he had been sleeping in his room before, he could not remember doing anything else. For the past three years, Kane had been bedridden, result of a rare disease which caused his muscles to deteriorate. His parents had tried everything they could but technology had not advanced enough to help his failing body, a year later they could all but give up on him. And ever since ge had spend the years inside his room unable to even move his head.

His parents at some point stopped visiting him. While it hurt him, he could see the pain his parents went through whenever they were infront of him. In fact, his mother woukd break down every single time. Kane did not want to see the people he loved the most always in tears and so he too distanced himself from them. He had nurses to take care of his every single need. From the moment he woke to the moment he slept, there would always be somebody near him.

Like any other day, Kane had drifted off to dreamland, tucked underneath a blanket in his familiar bed. His sleep though was interrupted by loud noise. Kane's eyes immediately spurng open. The sound he heard was something he hard heard before, he had heard it in tv before. The cry of a wolf, that was what he had heard and that was something he did not hear where he lived.

The moment his eyes opened, blood rushed to his brain. He had expected to see the ceiling of his room but instead he was greeted by a vast stretch of starry sky. The unexpected and drastic change in the environment around caused the boy's body to spring up. He had done it without even thinking. It was just a reflexive movement, caused by his instincts screaming at him. Not even noticing the changes in himself Kane turned his head left and right, only to see nothing but a huge tree.

Tears started filling the boy's eyes and his body started to tremble. He could distinctly hear the wolf cries echoing, he could feel the cold breeze that ruffled his black glazy hair. Unable to make sense out of anything, he wept for a long time as he called for his mom and dad. But as time went by, the cold began to attack the defenceless boy. It was then Kane decided to move towards the huge tree to get some sort of shelter. He had dragged his body halfway through when he realized that he could actualy move the upper portion of his body. What he did not know was that, not just his upper portion, even his legs were in perfect condition, just that the boy had forgotten the feeling of 'having legs'. And the next thing he had not noticed is that, he was no longer Kane, he was now Albert Freeman.
