8 Chapter 8

Breaching the tree tops of the magical forest, the massive buck and I are greeted by an unobstructed sky.

Followed by the massive buck taking a page out of Maverick's handbook and proceeds to do a barrel roll like its a jet from the movie Top Gun. And since no one in their right mind would expect a land creature to do such a move, I lose my grip on the massive buck and plummet back toward the magical forest. With the massive buck finishing its roll, it turns around and heads straight towards me.

With the massive buck on my heels as I descend, the look in it's eyes tells me its no where near done with me as I had thought.

Finally breaching the tree tops for a second time, I pull the tree branches around me with a wave of my left hand to soften my descent and I gestured with my right hand to make it so the branches that I just passed hurt the massive buck with whatever feeble strength that they can manage.

Just like the earth spike from earlier, the branches did no harm what so ever to the massive buck. But they did slow it down.

Using the last of the energy I have to generate one final gust of wind, I fling myself through the forest just below the tree tops and speed away from the massive buck.
Eventually losing it in the foliage of the magical forest, I hear another ungodly sound like the massive buck made twice before. However, this time the screech slowly decreased in volume as I put further distance between me and the massive buck.

Seems like using the pink magic script for such a long time and followed by two other magic scripts had exhausted the massive buck and it planned on finishing me off base on pure strength alone.

Well sucks to be you!

Because I used the last of my energy to get away, I no longer had enough energy to dodge any branches that were in my path. Nor could I guarantee myself a safe landing.

Finally the last of my energy gives out just as I come upon a familiar area. Crashing into the lake where the crimson glowing fish live, an enormous splash occurs from the collision. Some of the crimson glowing fish got caught in the force of the splash and were carried to dry land.

With no energy or mana left, I move my tired limbs and sore shoulder to make my way to the edge of the lake. Since I couldn't use my magic to make my trek quicker or smoother to the shore, it took a while to reach it.

Thankfully no crimson glowing fish attacked me, even though a quarter of their school was currently dying on dry land because of me.

Getting to the edge of the lake, I pull myself onto the shore right before I blacked out.
