2 Chapter 2

Finished with resting on the rock, I start my journey into the magical forest. Since I'm apparently in a new world, doesn't that mean that I have to gather food and look for shelter? Most likely.

While I was sitting on the rock, I noticed that I was wearing a nice short dark purple dress with a black leather corset bottom piece. Black leather laced up boots that have a slight heel, they reach just below my knee caps and I have black stocking that are cut off mid thigh. My wrists are covered with a thick black leather bracelet that's decorated in a dark silvery purple design. And a black cape to finish it all off.

All this black makes the dark purple stand out, but it's not like I have a spare set of cloths lying around. And the outfit happens to be very comfortable. Nothing too tight or long. The boots haven't even started to hurt my feet yet, which is a good sign.

Coming upon a lake, I notice small animals which slightly didn't look like the normal animals I'm use too. There was a magenta rabbit with a pair of sapphire blue wings, a neon green stork with a single horn perturbing from its forehead and crimson glowing fish in the lake. They were close enough to the animals I remember from back home, but the intense differences help remind me that once again I am in another world.

Slowly creating a blade of water, I shoot it as fast as I towards the closest magenta rabbit. I know, I know the rabbit could be harmless. But I'd rather practice hitting live targets on my own terms than to suddenly have to start firing off magical gestures to protect myself.

With the water blade approaching the magenta rabbit, time slowly passed as it cleanly cut through the creatures neck and carried on its path with a black sparkly tinge to it like nothing had just been in it's way a moment ago. All the magenta rabbits, besides the one I just decapitated, alarmingly run back into the forest adjacent to them. The neon green stork flew away and the crimson glowing fish, well they just moved to a deeper part of the lake. Not like it hid them or anything, with them begin glowing crimson and all. But at least they tried.

Walking up to the rabbit, I suddenly realize how gory the scene is. Black sparkly blood everywhere. It even managed to splatter on its small sapphire wings. And the head of the magenta rabbit is just bobbing up and down in the lake.

Hopefully anything I kill in the future won't be as horrible, well if I can be helped. I believe in giving innocent beings a clean and swift death after all.

Picking up a near by twig, I start to poke the dead magenta rabbit carcass. Nothing to special about it here. Moving onto the bobbing head, I manage to swat it towards the shore with the twig and move it onto the grass. It's doesn't move as easily on the ground as I thought it would. Maybe I should have found another twig and maneuver it onto the grass like a pair of chopsticks or tongs? Guess I'll keep that in mind for next time.

Continuing my poking session on the magenta rabbits decapitated head. I notice that something other than the hard skull and brains inside.

A Monster Core.

Well this world might call it something else, but I'll stick with my terminology until then. Or keep it all together, especially if their terms are idiotic.

The monster core was a small crystal about the size of the magenta rabbit's eyeball. It was magenta and sapphire just like the rabbit and it surface was smooth, almost like it been polished not naturally grown. Most crystals that have form naturally crystallize from the temperature and pressures of the planet. Yet they aren't as polished as this crystal . Maybe it has something to do with being grown in a magical rabbits head?

Putting the now 'clean' monster core in my pocket. I look at the magenta rabbit carcass and try to figure out how to dismantle it. More experimenting!
