57 Chapter Fifty-Seven: Suddenly this turned into a date 2

"Anyway, as I was saying…"

"Lavender is usually for people that don't know what products suit their skin so 'rever' is a safe option."

"Don't ask why I named it 'rever'. I made it up randomly because I suck at naming things. Also, the product can get rid of wrinkles or any signs of aging. So it reverses time... get it?"

James grinned and nodded his head. "I get it. I think you picked very interesting and unique names."

"I'll take that as a compliment." She smiled and walked towards the next section.

She looked around the store and started thinking. "I think I want to change up the building a little. I can make a reopening and make this the first place they will sell my recent collection at. That way I can bring more attention to this store." She analyzed.

She liked the design of the building and the inside of the store. If only things looked cleaned and organized, that would be perfect!

"That's a good idea. Also, your fourth anniversary will come soon, so you can also add that since this is the first store you opened. It would bring the store the importance it always had." James added.

"Yes, thank you. I'll discuss the plans with my team later." She glanced at the employee who continued to be on their phone. Not only was their dust around the products, but the showcases were dusty and dirty as well.

She looked calm on the outside, but it pissed her off. She and James exited the store and not once did anyone attend them like customers.

Clair was ready to go back to her office and fire a few dozens.

She took out her phone and made a call to Yaci. She knew her managers and team leaders well, so if they really neglected this store because of laziness, it will disappoint her.

Still, she refused to believe they would forget who they work for.

"Hey, did the team I sent to the store here perhaps sent an announcement to the workers in advance?" She asked.

"Give me one second." Yaci went back to the report recorded on her iPad and answered. "Yes, they sent the store manager an email two weeks prior."

"Okay, thanks." Clair hung up with a sigh. They must have cleaned up the store and made it perfect for the team not to notice anything wrong.

Still, she wondered why they didn't notice the mixed fragrances that don't blend well.

She made a meeting with them and ask exactly how deep was the inspection they did.

Things like this shouldn't be ignored, which clearly shows how badly they are neglecting their work recently.

"Thanks for accompanying me. We should head back." She turned to James.

James pointed towards a certain direction, and she frowned.

"I think she's waving at you." He commented.

"Hmm." Clair and James crossed the street to meet the woman who was waving at her. She had dark brown hair, blue eyes and she was really short.

She barely reached Clair's shoulders.

"Ms.Yvs, I'm really glad I bumped into you today. I wanted to call you earlier, but your assistant told me you weren't in the office. I just got all the models for our new men's perfume, and I can't really decide which one of them we should keep. I don't know how to explain it, but I think if you see it for yourself you will understand." She explains, almost gasping for air at the end of each entry.

"I saw you from far and ran all the way here!" She admitted, gasping for air again.

Clair stifled a laugh and handed her a water bottle for her purse.

Mode activated: *Kind Clair*

"Thank you so much! You are so kind, Ms. Yves. I'm really glad you came to this area. They messed the shoot up. Someone gave the models the wrong schedules, and they all came the same day, so the entire team is busy and confused about what to do. Our superior is on a vacation too. I know it's too much to ask, but please help me choose the models." The woman closed her eyes and waited for an answer.

They did what? Do they realize how important this shoot is? She has a freaking empire to run, how could they think she ha stime to clean up after their messes. It left her wondering who the irresponsible person caused this to happen.

Just what's happening with everyone these days?

Clair sighed and decided to calm down and go check it out herself.

Mode activated: *Patient Clair*

"Um... sure." She looked at her watch and turned to James. He shrugged.

'I'll take that as a yes.'

"Okay, lead the way."

"Thank you! Thank you! It's just 3 blocks away." The woman started leading them towards the location of the shoot.

"I'm sorry if this appears rude, but I'm glad you aren't like the rumors." The woman who Clair would prefer to refer to as a 'girl' because of the bubbly she looks, her height, and her baby face.

"Really? What do the rumors say about me?"

"Haha, that you are very unapproachable, but there aren't bad! I mean, we all admire you! You are really kind even if you are closed off…" She laughed nervously.

Mode activated: *Understanding Clair*

"I see. What's your name?"

"Amanda Li, I met you before in my interview. That's why I'm excited to see you again." She grinned happily.

"It's nice to see you again too, Amanda, though I can't recall our first meeting."

Mode activated: *Apologetic Clair*

James watched her from the sidelines and stayed quiet. His presence fading away bit by bit until it vanished entirely.

"It's okay! You meet lots of important people every day! I knew you would have forgotten, anyway."

"How old are you, Amanda?" Clair asked with a smile.

"I'm 20 this year, oh right, I texted the others about your appearance!" The girl seemed to not have done that long ago since she had received a message on her phone a second later.

"Again, I'm sorry that I ask you to do this for me personally but we keep calling the main office and there's no answer. We are trying to get someone else to direct the shoot but like I said the person who was supposed to be in charge took a last minute vacation and the schedule with him." Amanda shook her head.

Clair only smiled politely.

The girl turned her head, finally noticing the man trailing behind them. She covered her mouth in shock.

"Oh my God! I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were on a date." She covered her mouth again when James tilted his head in confusion.

She then recognized who he was.

Damn, the tea was boiling right now! She couldn't wait to tell her friend about this! The two biggest influencers in the business world on a date!

The news would be legendary!

Claire's smile froze. "Date? No-"

"A date? Hmm, we should continue with our date after this errand, right?"

When she turns to James so he could help her deny the accusation, it stunned her when he did the opposite. He even had a sly smile on his face!

Excuse you, I never agreed to a date!

When did this even turn into a date???
