21 Scandal

When Timo came out of the kitchen, he saw Shew putting on her jacket.

"Shew?" He looked on confused. Didn't she want to talk just minutes ago?

"I am sorry Timo." She bit her lower lip worried, "I really wanted to speak with you but I have some urgent stuff to take care of so I have to leave for the day."

Timo didn't ask her further questions but his mind was filled with concern for her, "Are you sure about this honey? I mean you have just gotten out of bed."

Shew was moved by the concern in his voice and the sincerity on his face. Her throat clogged up with an unknown emotion so being unsure of her voice she only nodded back in positive to his query.

Slightly saddened, Timo walked up to her and held her shoulders as gently as possible. Looking into her expressive eyes he spoke again, "Take care, will you?"

Shew could only nod.

He once again kissed her forehead with all the care he could muster and let her go. He watched her leave him feeling a little lost.

Not sure of what to do next, he went back to the studio to utilize his time in writing something.

At first, he couldn't think of anything to write so he closed his eyes for a few moments where he saw her face adorned with the rarest of smiles this morning. Her eyes even though filled with darkness held a vast pool of light in them. Out of nowhere, inspiration hit him (like it comes to me in weirdest of times and ways). He began to write.

He poured out a part of his feelings into the words. He himself couldn't grasp the dimensions of his emotions regarding her. He was beyond smitten when it came to her.

The rest of the gang found him lost in some la, la land with hand on his writing pad.

"Close your mouth brother, you are drooling." Kai rudely interrupted his fantasies.

Timo blinked and it took him a while to register Kai's words, "No I am not." He tried to defend himself.

"Then what were you doing just now with your mouth wide open and staring at the wall?" Mui teased.

"He was meditating." Vic tried to defend his big brother with a lame reason.

"Really now?" Ray raised a perfect single eyebrow, amused.

"Yup he was meditating about Rumi." Vic too joined in the teasing.

"God! How can I be so stupid?" Timo gasped horrified.

"Did that hit you today?" Kai smirked.

Ray chuckled, "I think so too."

"I never told Rumi it was over between us." Timo looked at his brothers still horrified.

Immersed in the events of previous days he had forgotten all about her.

"Wow!" Mui whistled amazed, "You have created a bigger mess for yourself big brother."

"What do you mean?" Timo frowned. The expression on the others face didn't look that good.

He had to immediately break things off with her. Otherwise, Shew would break all his bones and he'll be nothing more than an ass.

"She has announced that you are going to marry her." Mui decided to fill him in, "It's all over the news."

Shew walked out of the headquarters and bathed in the warm sunlight.

She was somewhat relieved but a bigger mess awaited her. She was falling for someone real fast and she couldn't do anything about it. She couldn't stop it nor slow it down.

That morning Shew was ready to tell him everything about herself and leave the decision in his hands but at the precise time, she had been called to the headquarters for an urgent meeting.

Her chief had given her the news that her time as an assassin was about to be completed. One last assignment awaited her and then she was free to do whatever she wished with her life.

She was a lot nearer to her goal and didn't want to mess up anything after coming this far. Her sacrifices and pain of all these years and all her efforts were about to give the fruits. She had to execute her plan in the coming two days.
