15 Invade

A fortnight later,

Shew was back in her home after another tedious day of work. She had received another assignment this evening and it was total bloodshed.

As always she had gone out to silently eliminate the threat but this time her victim was a renowned businessman. He was the one who supported the previous dead man- the drug dealer in all of his shady jobs.

The businessman was a wolf in sheep's clothes. Everything was going according to the plan until she had put three bullets in his body and sent him off but he was intelligent and had pressed the alarms before she could escape.

Within minutes the security had arrived and she had to act fast and had to leave a pile of dead in the wake. In the process, she too got hurt and there were some bruises on her body.

Right now she was sitting in her living room bandaging her arm where one man had cut her with a knife. She knew that this was going to be a piece of breaking news and her victim's cohorts would be alerted. Sighing one more time she went to the kitchen to fix some supper for her hungry stomach. Shew wanted to have a peaceful night and rest her body but a sharp knock on the front door didn't promise the rest she was craving for.

With tensed shoulders she opened the door halfway and peeked outside.

It was Ray standing, hand up high to knock again.

"You?" Shew was confused. Why would he visit her?

"Shall we take this inside?" Ray bent down and softly whispered.

Nodding she stepped back to allow him in. He was dressed in a hoodie and a cap concealing his face. Oh right, a celebrity- she grimly thought.

She politely offered him a seat, she couldn't help it, where Timo left her all confused and messed up Ray's presence was calming one, just like taking a drug.

"Would you like to have something?" She awkwardly asked him looking in the direction of the kitchen.

Ray was slightly out of breath, "Water would be nice please, I had to run the whole way." He tried to explain as concisely as possible.

Nodding quietly Shew brought a jug filled with water and an empty glass for him.

"Why did you run?" Shew couldn't help and curiosity.

"I was on my way here but my car is pretty recognizable so fans attacked me. I had to quietly slip away from all of them and run till here." Ray answered looking a little embarrassed. He obviously hadn't thought things through.

"How did you know where I lived?" She questioned him.

"Oh that part was easy, we got your address from the school. We are pretty influenced that way-' Ray stopped short when there was another knock on the door and this time it was Mui and Kai who came to join the party.

"Shit Kai! He beat us to it!" Mui exclaimed loudly.

Shew furrowed her brows. It seemed like these guys had bet on who would reach her place first. Her home wasn't that spacious but with the addition of three men, it started to look a little crowded.

"Beat you to what?" Shew asked again although she had guessed the answer already.

"Let's wait for a while, someone else has to arrive." Mui grinned widely in her direction like a mischievous kid.

"Don't tell me all of you guys are here on some kind of blasted mission." She couldn't help but say it out loud. These guys all had a hole in their brains.

Kai shrugged, "If you put it that way, then yes." They were here for something.

Shew frowned at the trio, "What is it that you are planning to do?" She couldn't help but get a bad feeling about this.

"Patience-" And just like that Ray diffused her irritation with his calm presence.

Another knock was heard and this time it was Vic. He came in barging through the door totally out of breath.

"I had a hard time escaping him. He didn't want to leave me." Vic explained his late arrival breathlessly.

Mui chuckled, "Maybe Rumi is being too much for him to handle."

"He sure is avoiding her." Ray gave his wise opinion.

"But why make me the victim in all this, you guys are the reason he took her as his girlfriend." Vic complained. He was feeling wronged.

"You react easily that's why." Kai grinned at their youngest. He couldn't help but tease him.

They were talking constantly and making themselves at home while Shew stood open-mouthed at the scene in front of her.

She was growing incredibly angry at Timo. He was the reason her idea of a peaceful night had gone down all the way to hell. She was planning his murder and immensely enjoying the ways to torture him in her brain when Vic called out to her, "Hey Shew what happened to your hand?"

She consciously rubbed the arm at little saying, "Just a minor accident."

"You sure you are not a magnet for trouble?" Mui couldn't help but laugh at his own joke.

"She sure is, look at the bigger picture, she attracted the biggest trouble of all, Timo himself." Said their wise leader.

The guys laughed at this while Shew looked on confused.
