4 Chapter 4- Alchemy

Xia Lang finds alchemy hard at first but eventually got familiar.

After several times of trial and error, his speed and success rate of higher quality pills started to surface.

Senior Bai picks up the darkened pill from the black smoked cauldron and inspects it. Sometimes in middle, he nods in appreciation and eventually tossed it away.

This action almost made Xia Lang's heart bleed.

Senior Bai gazes at Xia Lang provoking.

"Not bad, just a few days ago you were completely ignorant of alchemy...now it seems that you have started to grasp to create pills...your progress is decent and the pill had 90% impurities. Over time you will improve more. Mu Fang, have you created the body refinement pill?" Senior Bai felt quite satisfied with Xia Lang's display. He asks Mu Fang to create a body refinement pill as Xia Lang's cultivation seems to be rushed in which his body seems to be frail, little did senior Bai know that Xia Lang's body is just more pure but not strong as it is nourished by the primal qi, the Chaos qi.

'This Xia Lang has great affinity towards alchemy, I have noticed his cultivation seems to be rushed...but why do I feel like he is much stronger than he appears? And his qi is terrifyingly pure...what fortunate encounter did he receive...?' however Senior Bai dismisses this thought and thanks himself for not making Xia Lang a foe instead of a friend.

"Master, it is done. But master this is a precious heaven-grade pill. I have spent too much time on this, and master doesn't seem to need it as Master cultivation is much higher. For whom is this pill for...?" Mu Fang complains and pouts dejected as he wasted his precious time concocting a pill instead of cultivating, besides his master had no use for it or is master testing him.

"It is for Xia Lang...his body is weak and unstable making it a lot hard for him to do alchemy, he needs to exert more effort then normal geniuses to succeed. And his spirit flames are getting sharper and intense. A powerful body is needed if the spirit flames get stronger or it will hinder his efforts and cultivation." Senior Bai explains while stroking his white beard.

"You should have said at first if it was for Xia Lang, " Mu Fang yet continues to pout.

"Hahaha...you won't be resting either. Xia Lang seems to be about ready for his first mortal pill,"

"So fast..." Mu Fang was left astonished towards Xia Lang's pace but instead of burning in jealousy, he smiles.

Cold sweat started to form on Xia Lang's body. His face went pale white from exhaustion.

"Whoa," his eyes filled with admiration as he watches the beauty flame burns above his hands.

A mark then appears on his forehead forming a white and blue flame imprint.

He ignores the notifications and immediately a thought came to him.

A delicious aroma then surrounds the room, senior Bai then takes the pill out of the cauldron and inspects it.

"Oh, you've improved...first mortal rank pill nourishment pill...hmm good, only 20% impurities are present, " he nods in delight.

"And I think your flames have experienced mutation. It appears a lot beautiful and its temperature seems to be extremely hot and cold. An unusual flame indeed, I don't mean to pry your techniques or flame..." Senior Bai spoke with great envy flashing through his eyes.

Mu Fang suddenly steps ahead and gazes at the flame intensely.

Mu Fang's body shakes the next instant, this bizarre phenomenon took place in Xia Lang in the next moment.
