5 Opening Battle of the Kalos league.

It had been a month since Ash left to train and about 2 hours left for his first battle and the first battle of the Kalos League.

Serena dearly missed the one she loved, after all she hadn't seen him for a month. It also seemed someone else missed Ash a bit too.

It would've been fine if it was just a friend but to have the Sinnoh undefeated Champion Cynthia waiting for him is next level.

She hopes he will be back by the time he fights Trevor.

I wonder where Ash is. I thought I would meet him here. He is battling in the first opening match so its not like he failed to get the badges.

The thought of fighting him makes my blood rush with excitement. From what I heard from the Ash's teammates, he seemed to be out training and I just can't wait.

Our battle will be legendary!

Ash Ketchum.

A person I deeply admire.

He believed I could become strong when I was a weakling and now I'm at the Pokemon League.

He challenged me to beat him in an all out battle and I will do so.

I will beat you Ash and I will show the world that even if you are weak you can become stronger.

*time skip to opening match*

Announcer-LADIES AND GENTLEMEN YOU ARE WITNESSING THIS YEAR'S POKEMON LEAGUE TOURNAMENT. WITH VARIETY OF STRONG TRAINERS, I CAN TELL YOU THIS YEAR'S TOURNAMENT WILL BE THE GREATEST SO FAR. AND NOT ONLY THAT BUT WE HAVE PROFESSOR OAK EX-CHAMPION AND THE PROFESSOR OF THE KANTO REGION AND OUR VERY OWN CHAMPION DIANTHAA. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY PROFESSOR OAK BEFORE WE BEGIN.

The audience cheered loudly as the Famous Pokemon Professor got on stage and started speaking.

Oak- it's a pleasure to be invited and I hope the trainers that battle will be enough to challenge Champions.

ANNOUNCER-PROFESSOR OAK, DO YOU HAVE ANY TRAINER THAT CATCHES YOUR EYE SO FAR?

Oak- There tons of trainers that catch my eye especially 3 people who i can say have the biggest chances of winning but that's just me speaking. Ms Diantha, what do you think?

Diantha was a young woman with "short light brown hair that is designed in a somewhat star pattern with front bangs standing up, light blue eyes and violet eyeshadow. She wears a fairy-like white outfit with lots of gold trim. She is equipped with a white choker and white long-sleeved blazer with lapels that possess large buttons and also a small collar, the blazer finished with three petal-like ends and the sleeves have two golden lines on the cuffs. Two lacy objects on the back of her outfit resemble cloud-like wings that is likely to be connected to the blazer. She also wears a simple white shirt with two golden lines near the end of the shirt." (its from the Pokemon Wiki) She also wore a small golden-swan shaped necklace that seemed to contain a key stone.

Diantha- I cannot say much except for the fact that the one who has the biggest chances of winning is the one who is capable of bonding with their Pokemon to the fullest. And I certainly see a trainer with that potential competing in this league. But to see if they win or not can only be found by officially starting the matches.

Announcer-YOU HEARD THEM FOLKS LET THE OPENING BATTLE OF THE KALOS LEAGUE BEGIN.

ON THE RIGHT SIDE WE HAVE A YOUNG BOY NAMED TREVOR WHO LOOKS WEAK BUT DON'T BE FOOLED BY HIS APPEARANCE AS HE SEEMS TO BE A VERY STRONG TRAINER.

AND ON THE LEFT SIDE WE HAVE A VERY FAMOUS TRAINER FROM MANY REGIONS. SAID TO GO AGAINST LEGENDARY POKEMON AND WIN.

At this Lysandre seemed to leaned forward to see Ash.

AND NOT ONLY THAT BUT HE IS THE ONLY TRAINER SO FAR TO WIN THE BATTLE FRONTIER AND THE CHAMPION OF THE ORANGE ISLANDS HIMSELF, ASSSHHHHH KETTCHUMMMM!!!!

At this every trainer competing who did not know of Ash's status either felt dread or excitement running through them.

Everyone knew the Battle Frontier challenge. Said to be impossible, especially the last challenge which even Champions struggle to win against. He truly was a terrifying trainer.

Alain and Sawyer especially felt very excited to battle Ash, more Alain than Sawyer.

And out of the gate came the boy that everyone hoped to see.

(too lazy to describe Ash, he is wearing what he wears in Kalos just with a Pendulum around his neck)

The audience went wild when Ash stepped out and many girls swooned over the fact he looked very handsome, which Serena agreed with but also frowned when looking at those girls.

Ash looked at the audience and then at Trevor to which Both trainers gave grin at each other.

Ash- Trevor, may the best one win.

Trevor was ecstatic that he would fight Ash. He knows that winning against Ash is low especially knowing that his Fletchinder/Talonflame went against Moltres. And knowing that Talonflame held its ground against Moltres which is a feat in itself.

Though he hopes his secret weapon will be enough. Though considering that it's Ash, he would one have too.

But now it was not a time to think but to battle.

ANNOUNCER: ARE BOTH TRAINERS READY.

Ash/Trevor: READY!

ANNOUNCER: THEN LET THE BATTLE BEGIN.

Trevor: Ash get ready for this since I chose you. GO CHARIZARD!.

Out from the small Pokeball came out of a ferocious orange dragon looking Pokemon with long winds and sharp claws with fire being constantly released from the tips of its fail.

*Insert a Loud Roar*.

It looked very ferocious which made the audience scream in excitement as they didn't expect Trevor to have a powerful Pokemon. But it seems like what the announcer had said. Don't underestimate Trevor.

Although it was already clear to the audience that Ash would not back down due to his achievements they still looked over to see what his reaction was. And boy did he not disappoint.

With a massive grin on his face he shouted:

Ash-I see you evolved your chameleon huh. Well why don't we see who's Charizard is stronger.

With that question alone bought the whole audience to go silent but after a few seconds they had their eyes wide open and cheered as loud as they could.

You could see the excitement in both Alain and Sawyer's face. Though Trevor knew he would lose he didn't give up.

Trevor-COME AT ME ASHHH!!!!

And Ash did.

With a loud shout of Charizard he sent his pokeball all to the sky. Everyone in the audience were very keen to see Ash's Charizard. With an even louder roar than the other Charizard, Ash's came down to the ground with a thud.

It was bigger than Trevor's Charizard and the flames on its tail was crimson red. But what attracted most people to it was the collar on his neck. Rather what was in that collar caused Alain and Sawyer's eyes to gleam in excitement and Ash's group to be shocked.

After all it was a Mega stone that was held.

Trevor- I see your Charizard can mega evolve huh.

Ash-You bet.

Trevor- I see then. Either way I will beat you Ash and win this League. CHARIZARD FLY UP AND USE HEAT WAVE.

As the command was sent, his Charizard responded accordingly and after swallowing a huge amounts of air did he breathe out large amounts of orange flames that was sent towards Ash's Charizard which Ash grinned at.

Ash- CHARIZARD show them the power of your flames. USE FLAMETHROWER.

And Charizard showed the audience the ferocity of his flames as it blitz its way through the heat wave and onto the smaller Charizard, who was barely barely to dodge it mid-air.

Trevor and the audience were astounded at the power in that single Flamethrower.

The two Pokemon Professor watched in excitement as the Charizard showed its power while Diantha watched in Amazement.

Sawyer and Alain had very determined faces as they saw how powerful the flames were and Alain couldn't help but compare it to his Charizard who had weaker flames, which led him to become more determined to face Ash ad win.

Trevor sighed as he didn't think he would need to reveal his secret trump card this early on in the match but if Charizard gets hit by those flames then it will damage him quite badly.

Trevor- You know Ash. I was hoping to save this for much later but it seems you leave me no choice but to GO ALL OUT.

Ash gave him a giant grin as Trevor held up his Holo Caster which contained his key stone.

And with one shout

Trevor- MEGA EVOLVE CHARIZARD

And with that there was a shinning light that erupted from Trevor's Charizard with the mega stone and Key stone reacting and the strands that were released connected which made Charizard's size change.

Eventually when it stopped the new appearance of Charizard could be seen by everyone.

As Mega Charizard Y, it became sleeker in appearance but retains its normal coloration being orange. It has three pointed horns on the back of its head, the middle of which is longer. Its snout has larger fangs and a ridge on the nose. Its neck is shorter, but its torso is thinner and longer. It features longer digitigrade feet. Its hands are less developed, with extremely shortened fingers that are no longer separated from each other. Small wings develop on its wrists, while the ones on its back become larger, lose the wing finger passing through their membrane and end up with ragged edges. The back of its tail has a large spike at the base and three smaller ones near the tip, which now burns with a longer flame.

It roared far louder than Ash's Charizard which also activated its ability, drought making the sun shine far brighter than usual.

Ash- Hahahahah. If you will go all out then let me as well. CHARIZARD MEGA EVOLVE.

Once more a bright light was shone throughout the field as Ash grabbed his pendulum as both it and the mega stone in Charizard's collar to glow brightly and connect to each other.

Once it was over, Charizard's appearance shocked everyone, especially Professor Sycamore, who had never seen this new mega evolution, while Professor Oak simply smirked.

However, Lysandere and Alain were the only ones who were excited both due to different reasons. One to test if that Charizard can beat his own and vise versa and the other believing that Ash and Charizard were worthy of being in the New world.

Ash- Surprised huh. Well you better focus on the once more Trevor. Charizard use Flamethrower.

Charizard Breathed out light green flames that travelled to Mega Charizard Y's position which before Trevor could do anything, it was hit creating an explosion.

Once it cleared up, everyone was once again surprised since Trevor's Charizard was Poisoned!

Seeing everyone's stupefied faces Ash laughed out loudly.

Ash- After Mega Evolution my Charizard is a now Poison/Fire with the ability of Poison Flames. Every single one of Charizard's Fire type attacks causes Poison on the opponent. It also makes his fire type moves give out a combination of fire and poison type Damage.
