1 Servant's Life

In the midst of intense war of fire, steel, and slavery, chaos begrimed the whole continent of Sedora. Where in this war, the kingdom of Daruta- One of the three largest Clans albeit the weakest one bordering the North, shockingly managed to grow and emerged victorious by the proud sounds of tattered flags fluttering in the air accompanied by the cry of these proud men, where a particular one stands out from them, drenched and soaked in blood and wounds covering most parts of his body. Despite his condition, he was still able to stand firmly and imposingly on a pile of fresh corpses, depicting an image of somewhat closer to a god of war and a death ripper at the fiery ruins of the battlefield.

And his name was…

Kring~

"What was his name..."

The sound of the alarm echoed in the room and woke him up, followed by a sound of annoyed grunt coming from under the pillow– where his head was burrowed.

'That dream again..huh..'

It's the 4th time this week.

Dante slowly got up to his feet from his small bed with a creek sound. With a face that looks like someone who finds waking up in the morning, troublesome.

While scratching his measly black shoulder-long hair which now resembles a ball of spike, His vision started inspecting his small room that mostly makes his morning routine.

From every inch and corner, everything was made of wood. The worn-out table that was beside his bed, a chair that was adjacent to it, the floor, and the dusty half triangle shape ceiling down to the right wall touching the wooden floor. If you look at it, it's just a cramp small room with as little space as there is with no window. It's similar to an attic but most of the attic has small windows and more space compared to his room–which is worst.

He frowns at this morning sight, which, ofcourse, also made it to his morning routine.

When will I pass the life of a slave? Dante thought with a discouraging voice in his head as he was also fixing and tying his hair.

Just as he was full of negative thoughts, he then finally realize his alarm clock was still going on in the background for some time now.

"stop."

And just by that simple one word, the alarm clock that looks like a small lamp that was buzzing up until now, stopped emitting its soft red glow and went completely silent.

It's been a month already and the idea of magic in this world still amazes me, even this simple alarm clock is always a sight to see every time I wake up. I just couldn't get used to it. Dante thought.

Maybe because of all the stuff that Dante has, it's the only luxurious thing he got as a gift from a special friend.

The idea of buying this alarm clock was because every morning the head servant would have to always do all sorts of things just to wake him up and soon got tired of this morning routine, so he bought this special alarm clock as the final resort for him.

And thankfully it worked. It would surely frighten him if it still doesn't work.

So, why it's special? Because of its magical properties which makes people like Dante wake up like normal person, and on time.

Thinking of this, Dante watched the lamp with a tear on his left eye, not because he was sad but instead thankful as he recalls a certain person.

'Thank you Armando-Kun.' he murmured.

If not for him, he would have failed the quest and died already.

Dante gestures with his hand and a transparent floating window appeared that says quests on it and writes:

—————

>QUEST<

Wait for the Master's Arrival.

•7:21:15 left•

He then closed the window with his mind and exits the room.

It's 5:20 am and usually, servants would wake up at exactly 6 am and prepare at 6:30, but for Dante, this became his normal routine every morning. He would always go at the back of the wooden building, that formed an 'L' shape that's made for servants like them, to train.

The building has three floors and Dante's is at the very top floor and at the most corner, and by its long corridors, it would usually take some time before he reaches the grounds.

Just as he was walking by this corridor and passing some rooms with large strides, he suddenly remembered what happened before arriving here.

Dante was just a normal student studying for his final exams, he fell asleep and the next thing he knew, he was transported in this kind of place together with 299 other people.

Until now, everything is still shrouded in mystery.

But that will soon slowly start to unveil because today is the day that the Master of this place will show up for the first time and explain everything to us.
