8 STAKE AND SHAKE
JAY'S POV
" And don't go , I mean call your dad and tell him i'm dropping you ." I nodded ok , while he was still holding me by my waist and my arms were around his neck . He released me slowly and I got into the car , my cheeks heating up. What just happened?. My heart was still racing when he got into the car and ignited the car . An awkward silence was maintained during the whole ride to stake and shack . The only time I spoke was when I told Abi to come to stake and shake . I wonder why we are going there in the first place . In between Marcus picked up his phone to text some one which I caught sight of from the corner of my eye .
" Ummm...why are we going to stake and shake?"
" Ye..mmhmm..yeah so um..what do you think about Chase and Abi?"
" Well, they seem to have got pretty close in less span of time . They're friends ."
" Yeah they surely are but Chase has got some feeling for Abi , if you have noticed ."
" Maybe . So what's your point ?"
Scratching the back of his head he said " I kinda pissed him off with Abi's name so I just want i make it up to him and I wanted to ask if you could talk to Abigail and find out if she's got any feelings for him too ."
" I can do that , when do I start ."
" Now , I mean you called Abi when we were still in the parking lot so she'll come earlier , We will reach there by 12:00 , I told Chase to come by 1:30 . So we will just talk to her and see if there's any hope , if there is we can make a plan and get them together . What do you say ?"
" Ok , but no pressurizing her into this . I'm not gonna support that ."
" Promise ." He said looking at me with some kind of an emotion in his eyes .
" Oh and one more thing , we need to get rid of Sandra following my ass convincing me to be with her ." at that I giggled imagining how annoyed he could be .
" Sure " I said as I laughed which was followed by him . And oh my his Laugh was breathtaking where his extra tooth could be seen .
" Take a pic , it'll last longer ."
" Jerk " listening to that he laughed his ass out .
In between I took a look towards the entrance and noticed Abi ." Look! Its Abi . "
" That's our cue ."
We walked into the restaurant where Abi was standing searching through the crowd for us . I tapped on her shoulders
" Hey !"
" Hey! . Oh you're with him?"
" We came to talk to you ."
" Oh , ok , What's it about ?"
" Can we sit somewhere and talk , and seeing this restaurant and that amazing smells that's filling my nose at the moment , makes me want to order something too , so ." Marcus said strangely sniffing the air .
" Would you stop that ?" I asked him
" What ? "
" Sniffing, weirdo! "
" Oh, mhmm, right " He said awkwardly
We went and sat at the right corner where it there was a table and big yolo chairs for couples . We simultaneously took our seats . Marcus sat next to me . We ordered our respective dishes . Marcus elbowed my hand and pointed towards Abi , signaling me to ask her and not make it even more weird than it was already .
" So Abi ?"
" Mmm?" she looked up with questioning look .
" How are you .?"
" Hah . What's wrong with you today . First you never go to restaurant's like these during school hours , which definitely means your bunking . And second you've never hung out with me before so you can get directly to the point ." That something of hers made me look at Marcus who was already glaring at me .
" Right . umm.. Directly ya?. So umm.."
" What do you think about Chase?" he interrupted making her almost throw up the water she sipped while looking at the two of us .
" Chase ? he's a lunatic ."
" Yea other than that ?" he went on .
" What do you mean?"
" Look i'll get straight at it . Chase seems to like you . Well I realized that since he's been acting strange around you and that's not like him at all ." she slightly blushed which she did try to cover but I took notice of that real quick.
" Umm. actually even I like him . I know its not been long so I don't want to rush anything . Please don't tell him ok ?"
" No, no we weren't planning on telling him anything just wanted to make sure that things are mutual ."
" So that's it ? You guys called me for that ? So does that mean I can leave now ?"
" Do you mind if you stay for long because , I called chase too ."
" Really ? . I'm not in a hurry , so no problem ." Yeah sure Abi whatever makes you sleep at night girl.
When our food arrived , we talked ate and laughed , and spoke about other things waiting for chase .
Abi and Chase make a cute couple but like she said , to rush things up is not a good idea even though both feelings are mutual . They hardly met each other few days ago so , it's better to take things slow . And I also thought about mine and Marcus small moment back in the parking lot , only for my cheeks to heat up . And then there was Chase walking in .
" Hey you g.... A..Abi ? What are you doing here ?"
" Eating what else does it look like to ya?"
" Talking... also ?"
" Why do have to be impossibly annoying ?"
" That's my special skill baby . Not everyone get's that ya knowwwwww" sayin that he almost sat on her making her fidget in annoyance .
" Yuck . F**king piece of insane shit keep your ass on that chair will ya ?" With that he put his hand on his chest and pretended hurt.
" Ow.Don't hurt me , i'm just happy seeing you, baby ." she rolled her eyes at that .
" Call me baby one more time , and i'll shove this prawn up your nose ."
" Gross. What the hell !" He slightly yelled making us all laugh with those hilarious expressions of his
They're never gonna grow up soon . Real mature ( note the sarcasm). I looked up at Marcus who was watching them and smiling at the same time . When he noticed me he gave a huge smile from year to year and whispered ' Thank you ' . And we both got a message From Chase " I owe you both ". I had a great time to be honest . And knowing they both have mutual feelings I'm more than happy for them both .
