27 Cerin’s next step.

The clock rang at five o'clock in the morning as per usual but Cerin was already up and in the kitchen.

'I'll be out the whole day so I should prepare some food for the two before I go. After all that was a part of my promise. '

She worked as quickly as possible, trying not to awaken her two new housemates but didn't realize that those two were so dead tired from the day before that they wouldn't have awoken even if she decided to start practicing her yodelling skills.

As soon as the oven signalled the completion of the cake she brought it out onto the counter and covered it, leaving a short note as she left the house.

'Although they might be a bit skeptical of the cake as a breakfast I hope they'll eat it. '

The innocent young girl thought. Of course it wasn't just any cake and was actually a reinterpreted recipe from Four designed to boost their blood production ability and the immune system.

"Those things really are convenient."

She muttered as she sprinted through the street. Although she had a car now and could have driven Cerin chose not to for two reasons. The first being that she was only a freshman in university and don't want to be mistaken as a second generation kid that only mooched off their parents and the second was that Serana had her driving licence and would need it to take Ryella to school in a week. Cerin wanted Serana to drive around today and get a feel of the new side of town.

..Speaking of which.

There was the small matter of her own schooling. She had chosen her own courses in the past, intending to become a secretary or personal assistant and take advantage of the fact that it was a university for good for nothings and quickly secure a cushy job babysitting a man child. However now that she had been blessed with the gifts of the eight Cerins living such a dull life seemed like such a waste to her.

With the knowledge of the First she could quickly tackle the business world and become an empress. All would be forced to acknowledge her and would constantly suck up to her.

With the knowledge of the second she could take the entertainment world by storm and quickly have all the money and fame that she could need. Her name would become a household topic and she would be looked on with envy and awe.

With the skills and knowledge of the third she could become an award winning athlete and live out the rest of her life with multiple advertisement deals, or she could retreat to the mountains and live a fulfilling life as a mountain hermit.

With the skills and knowledge of the fourth the seedy underworld would simply become a playground for her, selling 'enhancement' pills to impotent young masters or providing completely risk free abortions for reckless young women.

With the skills and knowledge of the fifth she could take over the medical world, becoming one of the youngest surgeons in the world. She could quickly establish a practice that only served the wealthy and have the elders of old families, who were unwilling o yet die come to her. Or she could even take to the underworld and have the big bosses of gangs in her debt.

With the skills of the sixth she could top the fashion world. She'd build up a brand, making a name for herself and have the young misses of the large families sucking up to her, begging for a one of a kind to wear to their next vacuous event.

With the skills of the Seventh she could continue as she was doing now and make a restaurant for herself, drawing on people's greed for healthy but good food to line her own pockets.

And finally with the skills of the Eighth she could become the judicial system that had the towns criminals and large companies under her well manicured thumb, imprisoning and releasing at her own whim and the amount those same companies were willing to spend.

There were so many options in terms of where she could go as of now and depending on which road she took she could have the business world, the judicial world, the medical world, the entertainment world, the athletic world, the culinary world or the underworld at her fingertips. The only question lied in which she chose to pick.

In all honestly Cerin had been an extremely sickly person almost from birth and hadn't even been sure she would live to see her twentieth birthday until about two years ago, when the medical world had made a sudden discovery and was able to nearly completely secure her life.

As a cause of this when other children were worried about what courses or extracurriculars to take, Cerin was only worried about whether she'd live to see the next month. When it was time to narrow down what career choice they wanted Cerin was fully concentrated on her recovery and just barely passed the acceptance mark into her university and she knew that was the result of some under the table dealings on the behalf of her Uncle.

The large archway for the university loomed before her and as she drew closer and closer and she was filled with an extreme sense of anticipation.

Here she would be able to pave the path to the beginning of her life and make up for those lost 19 years. Who cared if she couldn't choose a single path!

One's ancient but powerful voice echoed through her skull,

'If you can't pick one then you'll just have to conquer them all.'
