Chapter One

City A Airport

The airport was busy nuzzling with people who had arrived and we're being received by their loved ones. Some were bidding goodbye to their friends and family while crying.

A lady walked out of the arrivals and breathed in the fresh air of the country she's been away from for several years.

After being abroad for five years, Shen Xiyi finally came back to City A. She walked out of the airport and flagged down a taxi. No one came to pick her up after all she didn't inform her family that she was coming back, 'just not yet', she thought.

"New Tea House," she told the taxi driver after settling in the backseat.

With that she closed her eyes with her head resting on the back rest. Thinking of the reasons why she had to go abroad, she opened her eyes and looked outside the window. She could see the changes in the City, a lot had changed within the five years she was away.

Five years ago, her family had sent her abroad because of shaming the Shen family name. She was weak back then and couldn't fight back. Her sister had made sure that she couldn't fight back. She was surprised when she felt something warm flowing on her face. When she realized they were tears, she scolded herself for still dwelling on the past.

Being drugged by your own sister and boyfriend and sent to a mysterious man's bed, who wouldn't feel any pain? But she decided to put all that behind her and focus on what she has to do with her life now.

"Miss, we're here," the driver informed her. She alighted from the taxi and asked him to wait for her for she would pay extra for waiting. The driver agreed and she walked inside the tea house 

Reason why she was here? She had a blind date! Yes, she was crazy. She just arrived back and went straight to a blind date. That is because she wanted to have a solid ground back home. She didn't want to spend her time dating, rather she wanted marriage. She really didn't mind if her husband would be rich, as long as he had a good character, that's all she needed. 

This blind date was set by her friend on her behalf. Bai Ziyao, her friend, was against her idea at first but when she insisted she didn't have a choice but to agree. She had looked up from a dating website and found a match according to her friends instructions.

Shen Xiyi pushed the door and was surprised to find the room empty, 'damn! Did he book the whole room?' She looked around for her supposed future husband and an elegant man sitting beside a window.

'Handsome and gorgeous,' that was what she thought when she saw the man. He had a perfect face with those sharp jaws. Everything about him was screaming perfection. He was wearing a dark grey suit white shite and dark grey tie with black shoes. 

Shen Xiyi didn't realize that she had been looking at that man for too long and that he had raised his eyes and was also looking back at her with a charming smile.

'What an interesting girl,' the man thought.
