3 (3) Plans And Wicked Schemes

[ Meeting Room ]

With his coat hanging off his shoulder, Hyun Jae walked in with Sung Min and Jin Do following behind him.

All of the other higher-ups of the company were already there waiting, chatting and playfully bickering with each other like little kids to pass time.

"Sorry for the wait! Alright, so, this meeting is to plan our company's 14th anniversary which is on next Sunday. First, we'll be discussing the theme and concept of the event as a whole. Then, we shall establish the guest list and choose the venue as well as the event organizer we're going to hire. Is that clear?" Hyun Jae flashed a bright smile and took his seat at the front of the table.

Everyone nodded and started giving many interesting suggestions. Not long later, they were able to pin down the theme they intended to have for the event — the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, but in futuristic neon style.

The guest list was soon established. They intended to invite many big-shots of the industry, who were mostly Hyun Jae's acquaintances as well as good friends. A lot of supermodels, renowned actors and actresses — local, overseas and international — were invited as well. So, a total of 400 people were invited, including the company members who amounted to a good 160 people.

Unexpectedly, Hyun Jae also wrote down the names of a few powerful rivals of his. Sung Min looked at him questioningly but didn't ask about it since he knew that his best friend was definitely plotting something.

"Always up to no good, tsk," Sung Min muttered under his breath.

"Since the venue chosen is Ancient Daisy Hotel, we'll leave the booking to our little Do since he's one of the shareholders of the hotel," Hyun Jae winked at the goodlooking model.

Jin Do hummed and pulled out his phone, calling his manager to inform him of the plan. "One of my friends is an event organizer so I'll handle that too."

Everyone nodded with little grins on their face, glad that the boring meeting was finally over. Even Hyun Jae was showing signs of boredom, stretching his arms lazily like a cat after a nice meal of salmon and tuna.

[ CEO's Office ]

Back in the office, Hyun Jae excitedly told Sung Min and Jin Do about his plans to determine the real person behind Mijjing's recent illogical and sudden action.

This was the first time ever since the company was established that they had held such a grand event. In the past years, how they celebrated the company's anniversary was simple and the same — nothing but a pool party at Hyun Jae's mansion.

It was more than enough and nobody ever had any complains. Everyone would always leave with contented faces and satisfied tummies. Their parties only ever consisted of booze, meat, Hyun Jae's spectacular infinity pool and music. Oh, and also a barbecue grill!

"So that's why you invited those bastards," Sung Min yawned and rested his head on Jin Do's shoulder.

"What do you plan to do with them?" Jin Do asked curiously, his cute doe eyes widening, giving off an innocent feeling.

People who knew him well, however, would know that he was certainly not innocent. Instead, he was the exact opposite of this word. He was... cruel, ruthless, and definitely not tolerant. Once he felt extremely annoyed by someone, he would kill the person without any warning beforehand.

"Hmm... A little birdie told me that my darling Chang'e is craving bad-guy meat these days. Should I stir fry him or boil him? But boiling him might make my darling lose her appetite, ugh. Stir fry it is, then!"

Chang'e was the beloved and terribly spoilt lioness of Hyun Jae. She was still a cub when illegal poachers auctioned her and her mother off in the black market. Her mother ultimately died in the hands of the highest bidder days after they were bought, leaving the poor cub alone to fend for herself.

That's when Hyun Jae killed her buyer due to some underworld spring cleaning that he was doing. At first, Hyun Jae was going to give her to someone else but soon got attached to her and didn't want to let her go. And neither did she...

Sung Min hummed in response and proceeded to text Hyun Jae's personal chefs, giving them extra time to prepare themselves mentally.

"Wide shoulders God, you never realized Jae is this wicked, did you?" He whispered into Jin Do's ear as an indifferent smile spread across his face.

Jin Do nodded fervently, "But I am willing to learn from Shifu! Take me as your disciple, my Lord!"

Sung Min rolled his eyes while Hyun Jae grinned cheekily, "First, I shall teach you about pick-up lines! This is very important so listen carefully!"

As they babbled away, Sung Min felt himself dozing off peacefully, his head sliding down to Jin Do's comfortable lap. "Yummy chicken chop..." He mumbled in his sleep.
